Thanks a Bunch!

I so enjoy making cards to send with Ellen Hutson’s All Inside stamp and die set. That cute little bear and the fonts are perfecto! Well, now this cutie has all sorts of things he can hold! If you saw my card HERE, you know I looooove this idea! 🙂

hawkins_jill_thnxabunch_00_wmOh my word! This just makes me smile!! 🙂

hawkins_jill_thnxabunch_wmI had the good fortune (and may have been a little excited!) to be randomly selected for the Ellen Hutson gift card last month, so I figured, it was a sign I should get the new Bear Ware and Warm Fuzzies! Right? Obviously. 😉

I blended Distress Inks onto this panel. If I recall, the inks I used were: Fired Brick, Abandoned Coral, Ripe Persimmon, Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, and a little Carved Pumpkin to round it all out. Then I stamped the sentiment strip, and stitched it on. I used my Zig pens and Kuretake watercolors to color the bear and his wares. 🙂

The colors I chose were inspired by the Pin Sights Challenge going on over at Ellen Hutson right now. As well as narrowing my choice to using the flowers first! See photo inspiration below. 🙂

I also used a My Favorite Things die: Blueprints #13.

I’m entering this in the Essentials by Ellen August Pin-Sights Challenge.Check it out.

Banner-PIN-sightsAugustPinsightsHere’s a few other cards I’ve made recently with this set: HERE, HERE, and HERE.

Thanks for stopping by! And thank you all for leaving such warm fuzzies here on my blog recently. 🙂 So kind!

i like you. a lot.

I sat down and messed up a few things. Then, I saw this unfinished project on my desk from the #thedailymarker30day …whooot! I thought, perfecto! 🙂 I’ll wrap this ditty up!

hawkins_jill_i like you_wmThis card looks so vibrant in person, yet I cannot capture it on camera. Why is it so hard? *Rolls eyes*. 🙂

hawkins_jill_i like you_00_wmI used Distress Inks and blended them on. And then Lawn Fawn’s Quinn’s ABCs to emboss over top. (This set is WELL loved here.) I was pleasantly surprised how this turned out. Because, after all, I used some purple. Haaaa! 🙂

The Stitched Rectangle die is from My Favorite Things. Blueprints!! 🙂

Thanks for stopping by–and I always thank you for dropping comments. So many kind words left here, and I appreciate them all. 🙂

The busy summer rolls on here for another week! SO glad it does. And I’ll need a nap when summer break is over. 🙂

Floral Goes

Are you sitting down? Because, here comes some flowers. From me. I’m pretty sure I do these Technique Tuesday stamps little justice, but I keep practicing! 🙂 hawkins_jill_the best_wmThis is the Gallica Rose from the Greenhouse Society July release. I added some Wink of Stella pen to this, and while it does not photograph at all, it made this card quite pretty!

hawkins_jill_the best_00_wmIt is such a beautiful stamp. I need to practice more. 🙂

I decided to take a different approach with the August Ritzy Mum stamp.

hawkins_jill_feel better_wmFor this one, I did a watercolor wash background, and let the flower stamp shine in black. There Greenhouse Society stamps are so detailed, that I quite enjoy them in just outline form.hawkins_jill_feel better_00_wmBe sure to hop over sometime and check out all the new Technique Tuesday releases. I cannot wait to get my hands on these NEW Planner Stamps HERE and HERE myself! 🙂

Have a great week!

MFT Color Challenge #51

Here’s my take on MFT Color Challenge #51! These challenges come from the My Favorite Things Challenge & Inspiration Blog!

I thought I would use the Happy Birthday Centerpieces die cut, and change it up a smidgen. 🙂

hawkins_jill_HB_wmIt has a bit of an 80’s feel to it, doesn’t it? 🙂

hawkins_jill_HB_00_wmAnd now that I have these die cuts in all four colors, I am ready to make 3 more cards!! 🙂 Bonus! 🙂

More MFT Supplies: BG Grid Background and Blueprints 13. 🙂

Thanks for stopping by!

Make Your Own :)

I just think this card is a bit of a riot :). There is something so funny about this bear holding a Chicago hot dog and then… this sentiment?! Kismet, right? Bwwwwaaahaaahaa! 🙂

This cutie and the sentiment is from Ellen Hutson’s All Inside stamp and die set. 🙂

hawkins_jill_make your own_wmThe little hot dog is from Hero Arts Chicago My Kind of Town. Gah–TOO FUN! 🙂

hawkins_jill_make your own_00_wmI added some score lines and stitching to the bottom of this card, though the photos here barely show it. In person, it adds just the right bit. I colored the bear and his dog with Copic markers and popped them up with foam tape. 🙂

I thought I’d also enter this to the Ellen Hutson Pin-Sights Challenge. I think there are a couple of days left, so check it out! I may try another before time runs out? Big maybe on the time factor. Always, right? 🙂

Thanks for stopping by!

Eleven!! | MFT Sketch 293

Here’s my take on MFT Sketch Challenge #293! My Favorite Things Challenge & Inspiration Blog!photoI was sitting down last night to make my niece a birthday card, and then thought I’d try to rock the sketch too. Worked out well. 11 already though? Gulp. Happy Birthday, E! 🙂 ❤

hawkins_jill_11_wmThese number dies just retired. 😦 I’ll still use them bunches though. 🙂 I also laugh that I chose to stamp “You Are”….not sure why, but it makes me laugh. News flash: “You Are 11!”. LOL 🙂

hawkins_jill_11_00_wmI often neglect the few stencils I have, but gosh, such cool things you can do with them. I must try to use them more often! Those, and PP. 🙂 Haaaa!

Supplies from My Favorite Things: Die-namics Big Numbers, File Folder Edges, Pierced Square Frame STAX. Stamps: LLD Stars and Wishes. Stencil: Chunky Herringbone.

Thanks for stopping by! 🙂

You are a STAR!

Technique Tuesday has a new release of August Awesomeness! Check it out HERE!

I thought I would use this new stamp set, You are a STAR. in bulk! 🙂

hawkins_jill_star_wmI stamped like crazy, then added some wonky stitching lines. I thought at first, I would make them straight. Then, I came to my senses about stitching straight. I am not skilled in that regard! 🙂

hawkins_jill_star_00_wmThis is such a great little set of stars! You really cannot go wrong with stars…they are so versatile. And the price point makes it even easier! 🙂 Just sayin’. wink wink. 🙂

I hope to be back again soon with some more TT goodness! Summer has been awesomely busy, but this last week kicked it up to a new level, all together. My eyelids are drooping as I type this! HA!

Happy Sunday!
