Here’s my take on MFT Sketch Challenge #314 and MFT Color Challenge #60!
I arrived home late from a school meeting last night, but still wanted to make something. Our household has been under the weather, and I was behind on creating anything! Ahhh! 🙂
I was itching to inlay something, and of course, the strips of card stock is always a fave of mine to do!
I wasn’t sure how it would look with the strips on an angle, but I like it! It’s getting mailed today!
I rotated the sketch, so the HUGS is the big rectangle, and the nod to the then vertical piece, is my stitching. I couldn’t decide what to do for that element, but I think the stitching turned out fun, albeit a little off from where I intended. Ha! I held my breath as I started stitching, and as I did that little piece at the bottom. I wanted them aligned, and I wasn’t sure where my needle left off! Oh silliness 🙂
Supplies from My Favorite Things!
Anywho, there you have it! Thanks for stopping by!
I’m popping back in with a couple new cards using one of my new favorite stamp sets from Technique Tuesday!
This card uses the new set, You Aren’t Normal stamp set from TT. Seriously, it is awesome! I am itching to make more cards with this! 🙂 I also used, Undeniably Smitten stamp set.
This sentiment below, is likely my favorite from You Aren’t Normal set. I used it so simply here, because it just rocks alone! 🙂
I could use this repeatedly ❤
You can check out all the new stuff from Technique Tuesday HERE!
HUGE, warm thanks to so many of you that left kind comments on my Season’s Givings Blog Hop post. I completely enjoyed reading what everyone’s favorite stamps are and why. I have to say, I could not answer that question easily myself. I would have sided with many of you that said you have too many favorites! 🙂
The blog hop prize, via random.org, is to be mailed out to…
Yay, Mary-Anne! Please drop an email to me with your mailing address (fastestturtlemail at gmail.com) and I’ll get your prize mailed out this week! 🙂
Thanks again for all your comments and thoughtful answers!
Have a great week!
I thought I’d pop in with some new Paper Smooches fun to share!
For this card, I used the new PS You Are Loved die and the SUPER stinkin’ cute Courteous Cuties and Courteous Cuties 2. I also used the Snow Drifts die for him to sit on. Oh my word, how cute are these critters!!?This cute turtle below I colored up straight away! I super love him! 🙂 I added him to the new For You Tag die, and popped him on a quick card, with a little stitching. 🙂 I colored both of these critters with Copic Markers. I also used the new Courteous Cuties Icons dies. I had to color every critter, and die cut them all out. I think I’ve used them all now? So, so cute! 🙂
I’m so glad Kim has a new batch of critters to enjoy! Check out all the new stuff HERE.
Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
