Today, I’m sharing this card made with Julie Ebersole’s new Mermaid’s Tail set. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, Julie is a serious threat to my pocketbook! LOL! ❤
This is my FAVORITE sentiment! ❤ !! For this I colored directly on the mermaid stamp with my Zig Clean Color makers and then sprayed a bit of water on before stamping it on watercolor paper. I then added the sentiment and some stitching. I was surprised at how well it turned out! 🙂
For my second card today, I used Brandi Kincaid’s new set, Crafty Lady and coordinating dies. Gah! 🙂
This sentiment rocks for so many crafty friends! 🙂
For this card, I stamped them with Versafine Black ink and used Zig Clean Color markers to watercolor. (I’m not super skilled at skin nor hair. Yikes! Poor lady. LOL) I thought she looked a lot like me in the end, with paint and ink all over her shirt! 🙂
Here’s a look at the sets:
The sentiment on the second card is from the Crafty Ladies Say set.
SUCH FUN! Thank you again to all the fabulous peeps at Ellen Hutson! 🙂 Yay!!
Have a great Thursday!
I am SO excited to share a couple of cards I made for the new Essentials by Ellen Release! I could not be more thrilled to help celebrate the fun! Especially because when I hear a whiff of a new EH release, I wait with crafty excitement!
Ok–on with the cards already! 🙂
How stinkin’ cute is this little tote stamp AND all these fun sayings?! I knew I had to use them all, and I finally figured out how. LOL. Totes people! 😉
For these, I stamped them with Versafine Black ink and used Zig Clean Color markers to watercolor an ombré look in. For stamping the background, I used the Essentials by Ellen Wonky Backdrops set. (I use this set A LOT.) 🙂
Here’s a better look at the whole set:
Soooooooooo fun! I love the handwriting “font”!
I have made a handful of cards thus far, using the new release. I thought I’d share one more today and then be back with more soon!
This is made with the new set, Crafty Ladies Say set. I just love the impact of these stamps!
For this, I made a watercolored panel using Distress Inks. When that dried (patience, grasshopper, patience), I heat embossed this sentiment right on top. For the stars, I again used the Essentials by Ellen Wonky Backdrops set. 🙂
Here is a look at this whole set:
Head over and check out all the new release! I think it might be one of my favorites yet! I’ll be back soon, sharing a little mermaid action. That’s right, Mermaids. ❤
Thank you so much to everyone at Ellen Hutson for having me along to celebrate this new awesomeness! Special thanks to Carly for being so organized and super kind! What a fun experience it has all been!
See you all back here with a couple more cards SOON!
Happy Friday! It feels like two weeks are wrapping up this week, and I can’t grasp it is actually Friday today? The holiday always throws me off! 🙂
Happy Fourth of July!
If you haven’t seen it all, Paper Smooches July release is available HERE! And it’s goooood! 🙂
Today I am popping in to share this cutie little Monster Love card I made for our son! I’m trying to build up a small stash of ❤ 🙂 cards for him.
For this card, I used Paper Smooches Falling for You set, and coordinating Falling for You Dies. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this little monster, and I know my son will too! I also used Paper Smooches Balloons Dies, that I have had for what seems like forever. Faves! ❤
I colored the lil’ monster with Copic markers. For the background, I used Faded Jeans Oxide ink and a little mini stencil I have had for years! I really like breaking out stash stuff and using it! 🙂
Thanks for stopping in! Have a safe evening all!
First up, we have the new owl for the month: Hi There Owl. I might have a new favorite? This one cracks me up because it reminds of trying to take selfies with friends. Key word: Trying! LOL! This owl is the new edition to all the little owl sets that can be found HERE.
How cute is this owl!? Gah! I used the Pocket of Love die for the frame.
Next up, the new Lorenzo the Llama set and coordinating dies HERE. That name makes me laugh every time I read it! Bwaaahahhaa! “No Prob-Llama”! I die. 🙂Lorenzo’s set has the punniest llama sentiments that I ❤ !! “Llama Tell You How Much I Like You”. Big hit in my book. I colored this guy with Copic Markers and die cut him out. I added some patterned paper and stitched it on. Boom! Complete! Love that kind of card! I always feel like I’ve really done something when I use some of my PP. 😉
Last card, but not least for today, is this summerific card using the new At the Beach stamp set. This is one of those cards I did not like when I made it. The next day, I did! LOL! I think it’s beachy keen!
For this card, I masked off an area on a watercolor paper panel. I then stamped and white embossed all the images. I watercolored over them with my Kuretake Gansai watercolors. I even used some of the blue pearl one, which in person, looks fun and sparkly! I always forget how opaque these paints are. Which is why I didn’t like the results at first. But after I got over my “intended look”, I liked it! Phew! 🙂
(How awkward is the angle I took the below photo at? LOL! I only realize it now, and cannot redo because I already mailed it! 😉 )
One more quick share is this new set, It’s a Masterpiece. It’s such a funny little set that I think all project makers would enjoy stamping on the back of cards, or anything you make. Cracks. Me. Up.
HOURS to make. YES! HOURS!! Haaaaa!
Happy Holiday weekend to those celebrating!
Enjoy- Jill 🙂
