For my card today, I used the super-fun-soon-to-be-released Snowman Card Die!!

I know this is confusing because it is the Snowman Card Die and this is clearly a penguin, but somehow that was the first thing I made! πŸ™‚ I think the carrot nose got stuck under something and the rest is history. πŸ™‚ I think it’s fun to see other things dies can do too.

Eeeeeeep! Isn’t he super cute?! I have snowman bits all over my desk, so I will be sharing an actual snowman next month as well. πŸ˜‰

Also, for this card, I used the soon to be released All Year Cheer for this simple sentiment. This forthcoming set is one of those sets you can use all year round! I also used the previously released Santa Card dies for his hat, and the Sweets Dies for his pom-pom! Yup, that cupcake worked swimmingly! πŸ˜‰

I overhung his hat and scarf, but the card is slightly narrow overall, so this should easily fit into an envelope I have on hand. More likely however, this will be on a package delivery for the Holidays!

Next stop on our Paper Smooches Pep Rally Hop:  Karin Akesdotter! πŸ™‚ Karin’s projects are to never be missed! ❀

Thanks for stopping in today! Be sure to hop and leave comments for a chance to win a Paper Smooches prize!! I thank you in advance because you all have the nicest things to say! ❀

All the new goodies will be releasing November 30th–that’s THIS THURSDAY! Be ready!

Take care- Jill πŸ™‚

Bear Hugs!

Popping in tonight to share my little bears! I stitched four in one day. Holiday travel = stitching! It’sΒ  fun like that. (I did some other top-secret stitching that I will share in the future as well. wink wink!)

My Mother-in-Law made two, and my son made one cutie! Such fun! This bear is the Essentials by Ellen Bear Hugs! I’m telling you, Julie Ebersole and her designs are trouble! As if I didn’t love this All Inside Bear and coordinating dies enough, this little guy then stole my crafty lil’ heart! πŸ™‚The above four are the ones I made. I love the oatmeal one the best… or maybe the white one? Well, that Heathered PInk and Gray is pretty awesome too. Well, I love them all! πŸ™‚

The two darker colored ones, my Mother-in-Law stitched up. She always makes things like this flawless. (Don’t look at mine too closely please. πŸ™‚ ) My son stitched up the little blue one in the middle. His arm is a little wonky, but I did help him with those, so that is definitely on me. He said he liked it that way. ❀ So I left it.

And this little photo is just funny because they are all in a line up apparently!Β  Holding their little hearts while taking potential criminal photos? LOL.

Thanks for stopping by!

Take care! Jill πŸ™‚

Let’s Squalk About it!

I hope those who celebrated our Thanksgiving yesterday had a fun, tummy filled one!

My cute little card today uses the new Baby Birds stamps and dies, of course. πŸ™‚

I colored this little cutie with Copic Markers and added a white heat embossed sentiment to the mix. I also added a little watercolor panel embossed with the Paper Smooches Cross Stitch die. I love this die as much for cross-stitching as I do for embossing backgrounds!

My signature mark seems to be this watercolor dripping off the side of the card nowadays. LOL. Not tragic, but definitely not planned either!

I ❀ this Baby Bird set!! Meep!! (And I’d like to note that I used Purple. πŸ™‚ A rare sighting! haahaaa!)

The awesome Paper Smooches November release is available HERE! ❀

Have a fantastic weekend…napping, shopping,Β  enjoying family …or all the above!! πŸ™‚

Happy Monday…I hope!

I thought I’d pop in with a few Paper Smooches cards I’ve made recently. I just ❀ my Paper Smooches stash!

This first card uses the new Baby Birds stamps and dies, of course. Because seriously, this set is the cutest thing on my desk! πŸ˜‰ The timing of this set was also perfect because I needed this sentiment to make and mail a card to my sweet friend.

I also used the Pineapple 2 die and the Deco Edges dies. Eeeeep! This is the cutest little bird! πŸ™‚ (We joined Page Maps this month and you can check out that HERE. I used the sketch they sent me to make this card–FUN!!)

This next one I intended to share on Taco Tuesday, but let’s celebrate today, Ok? Everyday is a good day for a taco, after all. πŸ™‚

Oh my word! How fantastic is this taco from Paper Smooches Calorie Free set! Pssst grab this set before it’s gone! πŸ˜‰

I don’t have the coordinating dies, so I just fussy cut out this little Copic colored taco and gave him some googley eyes, of course. πŸ™‚ So fun and PERFECT to send my taco loving friend! πŸ™‚

Next up, I used Paper Smooches Garden Greetings stamp set and dies. Eeeeeep! I LOVE this bee! I needed some Thank You cards and found myself coloring tulips. In November. LOL. πŸ˜‰

I colored these and die cut them out. I added some Wink of Stella glittery shine and some Glossy Accents over that. I scored some little card pieces and cut the edges with the new Deco Edges die. Although, I see in these photos it’s hard to see either of those details too good!?

The new-goodness-filled Paper Smooches November release is available HERE! ❀

Thanks for stopping by again and for all the kind comments I have received here lately…and always, for that matter! So kind of you all! ❀

Have an awesome week!

25 Days of Christmas Tags!

Today I am sharing cards made for my sweet friend Tracey McNeely’s 25 Days of Christmas Tags!! How fun is that? I used all these great holiday stamps from Technique Tuesday today! They can be found HERE!

These first two are more “traditional” holiday colors.

For all of these, I cut/used small cardstock strips glued down to a piece of regular ol’ paper. Then I die cut the tags out from each before stamping and heat embossing the sentiments.

^^That is one of my favorite sentiments! πŸ™‚ LOL!

These last two are a fun take on Christmas colors. πŸ™‚

For all my tags, I used various sentiments from Technique Tuesday: Spirit of December, Dear Santa, Christ is Born, and Classic Christmas Sentiments. The Classic Christmas Sentiments set is such a staple set! And of course, the Dear Santa set is my laughable fun fave! πŸ™‚ (The tiny stars and snowflakes are all from the fun TT planner sets HERE.)

Be sure to hop over and check out the new stuff from Technique Tuesday HERE!Β Β  πŸ™‚

The Big Technique Tuesday Progressive Sale of good finds is still going on and the savings is even bigger! The sale is discounting many awesome products on their way to retirement. Grab them before they are gone HERE! (Be sure to read the codes HERE and type them in for great savings!)

with sympathy

Hello! Today I’m popping in with a card using Paper Smooches NEW November die: With Sympathy Die.

I’m sure I’m not alone when I say I struggle with this type of card. I’m pretty sure it’s because I make them when needed vs. ahead of time. At the time I need them,Β  nothing seems appropriate. But ahead of time, these turned out lovely and will hopefully express our love when we send them.

For these, I masked off my card panel and blended on some Distress Inks to all of them. I even have the forethought to write them down to share below!

Distress Ink color combos: The Orange-ish one: Abandoned Coral, Ripe Persimmon, and Mustard Seed. The Yellow one: Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin and Dried Marigold. The Blue one: Salty Ocean, Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers. It would probably be helpful if I kept track of combos that work lovely together, but I don’t. I just wing it every time. With Distress Inks, you can generally fix any blend gone awry anyway. πŸ™‚

For this card I used: New With Sympathy die and the previously released Paper Smooches set, Best Buds. I white heat embossed the flowers with Versamark and Hero Arts White embossing powder. It really is the perfect die for these cards. I’m planning to make some more like these to have on hand.

All the November release from Paper Smooches can be found HERE! It’s a sweet release! You’ve been warned πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ ! Also, be sure to follow all the fun over on the Paper Smooches Blog HERE!

Have a GREAT weekend! ❀

Paradise Found Release Blog Hop, Day 2!

Hello! Welcome to my stop on this fun Blog Hop to celebrate Catherine Pooler’s new Spa Ink Release and Paradise Found products!!

I could not enjoy the new inks more! My favorite might be the Green Tea! And I did NOT see that coming! Haaaa! πŸ™‚

How about some cards? Yes- Onward!

I stamped the new Plaid Background with the Sauna Ink and then added some black lines with a fine black pen. I like how it pulled some of the black into the background. I then cut the scalloped panel (gulp!) and stitched it on to my card base before adhering the white embossed sentiment. I die cut the Best die a couple of times and layered that up, adhering that along with a tiny heart for the Tags, etc. Dies (Counting Blessing SOA Collection).

This is one of those cards that grew on me over time. At first I almost binned it, but I’m glad it stuck it out because it is now a fave! πŸ™‚

My next card uses the Birds of a Feather stamp set and the new Birds of a Feather Die.

How awesome are these new ink colors?! ❀ them! They are: Daydream, Mandarin Spice and Green Tea. (Watch out Tutti Frutti, there’s a new orange in town πŸ™‚ )

For this, I inked up the large feather from the Birds of a Feather set, and stamped them all on white cardstock. I die cut them all out with the new die and gave them a slight score line to fold along before stitching and pinching them upward. I scored the card panel and adhered all to my card base. Fun!

This next card I’m sharing today, uses the new Winter Wonderland stamp set. The little critters on this set are very cute and there are lots of little detail stamps that help make a complete scene easily.

I stamped the trees in my new a fore mentioned fave, Green Tea. The red elements are stamped in Peppermint Scrub and the deer is stamped in Icing on the Cake. Oh, and the snowflakes are stamped in second generation of Black Jack. Catherine’s inks work awesome for that technique– which is fabulous if you’d like just a lighter version of a color.

It’s such a cozy little scene!

Next up, a card featuring the new Small Doily die and stamps from the Medallion Mix-Up Stamp set. Again, I used the new Green Tea color for tag. πŸ™‚ The tag and the hearts are from the previous Counting Blessings SOA Collection–the Tags, etc. Dies.

This card was very tricky to photograph at a good angle. I also didn’t predict that challenge–ha! But in person, it looks very delicate and lovely cut from vellum and folded up to create a flower type element. This card is going to be for my Grandmother on her 94th Birthday next week!  ❀

I again scored the card panel and stitched everything on to the card base after adding some twine to the tag. This card turned out so lovely! I can’t wait to give it to my Grannie. πŸ™‚

I hope you have enjoyed my stop along this hop! I ended up having several cards because once I started creating, they just kept coming! And I still have two more to share in the future!
