Day TWO of Technique Tuesday’s May Release Countdown! Let’s Blast Off! 🙂
Today, I am sharing cards with cool new May products! Lots of stuff perfect for making cards for the guys this month! 🙂
This new Spaceship On the Border die is quite fun to use and imagine all the different spaceships you can design! 🙂 I colored all these bits with Copic Markers and blended some Distress Oxide ink on the inside panel, after masking off a section first. I then stamped the sentiment and inlaid all these die cut bits. I like how it turned out and I’m looking forward to giving this to our son. 🙂 I should have colored that one stream a different color other than orange, but just ignore that little bit please. 😉 (The link will work when the products are available tomorrow, May 1st!)
I had enough time to whip up another card! This one I masked off a strip on the inside and blended lots of Distress Oxide inks on. Quite fun in person with a little sparkle! I added some stitching and scored lines to finish this card off.
On this card, I also masked and blended on some Distress Oxides on the inside. I added a little washi and stitching to polish this off.
For both these cards, I also used this great new sentiment from the soon to be released set: Congrats Grad Clear Stamps. It is a set perfect for a graduate, but I like that the sentiments work swimmingly for encouragement and congrats cards too!
Be sure to check out the NEW products from Technique Tuesday HERE! (The new products shown above will be available via those links tomorrow, May 1st! 🙂

Hello! Popping in today with a fun little card to pop in the mail very soon!
How cute is this dynamic little bundle of friends? Super cute! I borrowed this stamp at our retreat in March, and stamped it out then. My friend Caly was very generous, and helped me die cut this out with her Scan n Cut. Have you ever used one of those machines? Wow. It was pretty cool! 🙂
I scored this panel, added a strip of washi tape, stitched the panel to the card base, and added on the sentiment. I colored these critters last night with Copic markers and then popped them on with some foam tape. I should have colored them all silly colors, but for some reason, I started with the lion and he looks a little more realistic than the others. LOL! Barely. 😉
This stamp set is called Best Friends, and can be found on the Simon Says Stamp shop.
And perfect timing because I can enter this for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge HERE. The current challenge is Anything Goes! Whoohoooo!
Thank you for stopping by! Have a great weekend!
We meet again–Happy Friday! Today I’m sharing a super fun and perfectly fitting Paper Smooches card. 😉 This card is ideal to give to my Mom on Mother’s Day (quickly approaching) or really anytime, for that matter. How many days in total did my Mom spend doing my laundry? Months? Years? Wow. ❤
For this card, I colored the fun Squeaky Clean Paper Smooches images with Copic Markers. (This little dust bunny has been a long time favorite of mine, so naturally, he had to hop in the laundry basket. 😉 ) I used the Power Rays die negative as a stencil and blended on some Distress Oxide inks. I laugh at how the laundry is emitting power rays! 🙂
I am always a fan of alphabet stamp sets and dies too. They allow you to make your cards say exactly what you need them to say. The heart on this is from the Little Lovin’ set. 🙂

There’s a new Color Trends Pin-Sights Challenge over on Ellen Hutson–check it out!
While I am not a purple fan, per say, I do really enjoy the colors of these succulents, so that’s what I ran with for inspiration. Here’s my card:
I used different colored Distress Oxide ink pads to smoosh on the stamp and then I stamped repeatedly. I white heat embossed the sentiment, and finished it off with a lot of stitching. 🙂
I made this card using two of my favorite Ellen Hutson’s sets: Wonky Backdrops and All Inside (sentiment). I added some Pretty Pink Posh Confetti...and as you can see, because of the glue, the top one took on the ink underneath and it turned the whole thing pinkish. Ha!! Overnight. Who knew?
I hope you have time to jump in on this current EH Challenge too! Thanks for stopping by!
Take care– Jill 🙂
Greetings! Popping in today to share a couple of cards today. Good Vibes for the weekend! 🙂
This sentiment stamp is from Neat & Tangled appropriately titled Good Vibes The background I made with Neat & Tangled’s On the Edge scallop stamp.
This next card, I colored everything with Copic markers just a tad. I borrowed this stamp from my friend Linda at our retreat last month and stamped it with Versafine on Bristol. (I clearly had prepped it to use Zig Clean Color Markers on–Ha!.) I thought I had used Copic friendly ink and paper, but I did not. Oooops! You can see a little nose or two smudged, but it could have been a lot worse! If I had this stamp, I would have just stamped it again, but I had to work with what I had. And then, I sent it to Linda, because it is the perfect card for her! (sans smudging, of course) 🙂
These stamps are from Mama Elephant called The Bunny’s Hop. I just ❤ these cuties all bundled up together. Mama Elephant has a bunch of these bunches, and they are ALL adorable, of course. The sentiment is from another set Linda generously let me use called Tea with Friends by Mama Elephant. Super ❤ that sentiment! 🙂
These cards are both postal already! I hope you mail your cards too! Speaking from experience, it is awesome to receive handmade cards (or store-bought!) in the mail. It can really brighten someone’s day so simply.
Thanks so much for stopping by again today! And thank you Linda for sharing your cute stamps and always being such a sweet friend. 🙂
Take care– Jill 🙂
Happy Friday! WE made it! Hooooooray!! 🙂 This Paper Smooches card is perfectly fitting for a day like today. 😉
I completely adore these Monster Dies from Paper Smooches and cannot ever use them enough. I mean, this little guy is sure to make someone smile. The teeth and then the added googley eyes!? Too funny. There are silly eye combos you can make with the dies in the set too, so the possibilities are endless there.
The dotted background was fun to make. I die cut the Deco Edge dies multiple times with multiple colors. Then I laid down the strips and glued in the dots to each little area, careful to try to not glue the strip itself down. It worked great to keep everything evenly spaced.
