Good Morning and Happy Weekend!! Today, we are having a fun blog hop between the My Sweet Petunia and Technique Tuesday! Whooohoooo! A perfect pairing of two of my most used companies. 🙂 Buckle up, there are prizes!!
On with my card, yes?
For this card, I used Technique Tuesday’s Happy Happy Happy Stamp set and Man Day stamps for the Birthday sentiment stamp. I stamped and heat embossed them in white, easily spacing them straight with MISTI. After that, I used my Kuretake pearl palette of sparkly watercolors from Kuretake. (This set HERE is a larger solid color set.)
Anywho, I polished off this card with a few Pretty Pink Posh confetti sequins and and some stitching.
Now, let’s chat about the Most Incredible Stamping Tool Invented from My Sweet Petunia! I gave my standard MISTI a little tune up and I am really loving it! First, you should know that I use my MISTIs “backwards”. So, when I saw that you can replace your ruler strips with not only other colors, but that I could also have my numbers in the correct direction, I was all over it. You can check those options out HERE. (There are also turquoise replacement rulers.) Now I just need to retrofit my Mini MISTI!
Then I decided to add the Mouse Pad to my MISTI. I recommend this for quick clean up and ease. I’ll still use my grid papers (those are HERE), but this has made everything look cleaner overall. Highly enjoyable! 🙂
Ok, I mentioned prizes! Here’s the details: Two lucky commenters will be chosen from the hop to win one of two prizes: a $50 shopping spree at www.mysweetpetunia.com and a $50 shopping spree at www.techniquetuesday.com – You must leave your comments no later than Monday, May 28th, at 11:59 PM Central time and winners will be announced on Tuesday May 29th, on the Technique Tuesday and My Sweet Petunia blogs.
Next on the hop, you’re going to head over to Susan Wymer
‘s blog and see what she has in store! It is surely worth the hop over! 🙂
Here’s the list of all the fun stops today! Be sure to hop along and leave comments for your chances at the prizes above! 🙂
Good luck and have a wonderful weekend! Hope it includes some stamping! 🙂
Happy Friday!! Today I’m here sharing a Feel Better Soon Paper Smooches card. 😉 I should have made one with just a dozen tissue boxes on it, because that is what I need right now. Allergies are out of this world awful. ugh.
Anywho–I think this card is fun and would definitely be smile worthy to receive in the mail! 🙂
I dry embossed the background with the Cross stitch die. I colored the cute little pieces with Copic markers and added some googley eyes (of course 😉 ). I then polished this off with the speech bubble, sentiment and some stitching.
All these fun stamps and dies are from Paper Smooches: Healthy Vibes, Healthy Vibes Icon Dies, Cross Stitch die, Word Bubble dies, and Kissables 1.

Have a great weekend!
Hello again! I’m happily enjoying my third week of contributing with the Freshly Made Sketches crew! You can check out their great challenge blog HERE.
And here is this week’s sketch:
And my card:
I took a little creative interpretation when creating the layout on this. 😉! I stenciled the background and die cut that portion. I die cut all the other pieces and adhered them in order after stamping the sentiment and <3. I love this Paper Smooches city skyline! I added some patterned paper and stitching and voila! 🙂
I thought this would be a fun hello card to pop into the mail!
Supplies I used: Paper Smooches Super 2 dies and All Year Cheer for the Hello. The stenciled background is Altenew’s Halftone and then paper is Ombre Stripes from Lil’ Inkers! 🙂
Thanks so much for stopping by! And thanks to the FMS for being so awesome to me this month! 🙂 Great fun!
Take care– Jill 🙂
I’m popping in today to share a couple more cards I made with the NEW RELEASE from Ellen Hutson! Cannot get enough of these letters– endless possibilities! ❤This first card, I made with the new Classic Block Alpha by Julie Ebersole . I am a big fan of clean fonts and this bold one is a winner. So I went Taco Tuesday all over this. My friend will get a laugh for sure! 🙂 I created the background simply by stamping the dashed line from the Plaid Maker set repeatedly in different colors on the panel. I just used a stamp block, so it’s likely far from perfect, but it was fun to make. 🙂
I added some stitching to a few letters for some detail and also to adhere the panel to the card base. Then I glued on a couple of stars and there we have it! Let There Be Tacos!!! I see myself yelling this like Oprah would. haaaa!
Next up, I whipped up this colorful number to thank a friend:
This card I made with the new set called ESSENTIALS BY ELLEN DESIGNER DIES, Block Words by Julie Ebersole. Again, I created the background with the Plaid Maker stamp set…just one simple stamp can do so many cool patterns. 🙂 The first part of the sentiment is a stamp from the new Essentials By Ellen Clear Stamps, Totally Random Sayings Vol. 2 by Julie Ebersole.
To finish it off, I added some stitched lines with my machine.
So fun! Can’t wait to send these both in the mail!
Check out my previous post using these new goodies HERE. Let your imagination roll and create any sentiment you want…now I want a taco. That’s the downside. LOL!
Be sure to check out all the fun new products released over at Ellen Hutson HERE! Have a great Taco Tuesday!
Thanks for stopping by!
Take care– Jill 🙂
The current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge 28 is a Sketch Challenge–check it out HERE. I am all about sketches and I have been making a lot of cards recently based on them. It does take the guess-work out of arranging things!
Today, my Mother’s Day gift was daytime crafting. This happens once a year, if that. So I took full advantage…after I ran the vacuum and cleaned a bathroom, of course. I was not supposed to do any of that today, but it was bugging me, so I did. Ha!!. 😉
Here’s the sketch:
And here is my cutie little card! How sweet is this elephant and chick? Gah! 🙂
I colored these little ditties with Copic Markers and die cut them out. I scored the card base and then put on a scalloped circle pieces. I added some stitching to the focal point and heat embossed the sentiment. I adhered all the elements on with foam tape to polish off this sweet lil’ card. 🙂
These stamps are Lawn Fawn: Elfie Selfie stamps and coordinating dies. Such sweet little images to make cards with. 🙂
Be sure to check out the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge and join in HERE! Fun fun!
Have a great week!
Take care– Jill 🙂
Today I’m sharing a perfect Paper Smooches card for the weekend! Not only is it Mother’s Day, but apparently it is going to be a wet and rainy one here. Yikes!
For this, I just die cut all the flowers from colored cardstock and the rain boot from yellow and black. I stamped the dots on the boot with a dot from the Snowfellas stamp set. It worked swimmingly! I then die cut the embroidery hoop from white cardstock and also used the cross-stitch background to give it a little more texture. I scored the card base before mounting it all on there with foam tape and adding some stitching.
Hopefully this card makes it through the mail on time! This week has been the nuttiest one of the school year, and I’m just trying to keep up! 🙂

Have a great weekend and Happy Mom’s Day to all the Mom’s out there! I hope you get a nap! 🙂
Hello again! Once again, I’m excited to be a Guest Designer on week two for the Freshly Made Sketches crew! You can check out their fun challenge blog HERE. Lots of great cards to oooh and ahhhh over!! 🙂
And here is this week’s sketch:For this card, I blended on some Distress Oxide ink to Neenah Solar White cardstock and then stamped this Avery Elle image on top. I used this little pencil image to stamp repeatedly on the panel before stitching them all together to finish it off.
If I made this again, I think I’d try and find some simply patterned paper to use vs. the solid persimmon. But who knows! LOL! Either way, I thought this would be fun to give to someone this week, for sure!
I added a little twine to wrap it up (literally) and done! 🙂 This is Avery Elle’s Little Minds stamp set (I believe this set is retired?) Still gets a great workout around here though–especially during Teacher Appreciation week!.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you’ll join the fun over at Freshly Made Sketches this week!
Take care– Jill 🙂
