Whale, Hello

It’s Friday! And that means a new Paper Smooches card! 😉

For this card, I scored the pink card panel and then die cut the Flower Frame out, adhering it back in with some tape behind it. I then die cut the Wavy Pattern die with two different cardstocks and pieced that together on the card base, adding some simple stitching when done with that. I stamped the whale with a Hero Arts Ombre ink pad and die cut him out. Stamping the sentiment on a small piece of cardstock, I trimmed it out and adhered everything down with some foam tape, adding some small staples to finish it all off. ❤

Technique Tuesday: Day 1 of the July Release Countdown

Today we are showing Day One of the Technique Tuesday countdown to the new July release! It’s full of outdoor goodness! 🙂

I forgot how hard it is to photograph a dark card. But I enjoy how this sweet butterfly pops!

For this card, I used the soon to be released, Butterfly on the Border Crafting Die.  (Link will work on July 1st when products are released.) I also used the previously released Flowers for Her stamp set for the sentiment.

I die cut the butterfly from the black and then pieced in the orange cardstock. Afterward I added some white gel pen highlights and some stitching. I mailed this card to my Grandmother yesterday ❤️.

Be sure to check out the NEW products from Technique Tuesday HERE! (Again, these new products above will be available via their links on July 1st!)

(This card also uses the set Planner Beauty.)

Share the Dirt :)

I don’t know about you, but I am ready for the weekend! Lots to do, but at least it’s the weekend, right?! 🙂

Today’s Paper Smooches card is a fun one to pop in the mail! 😉

I die cut the cactus several times from both cardstocks and patterned paper. Then I pieced it all together and added some googley eyes for fun! 🙂 To finish off the cutie cactus I stitched him to the PP. I scored the card base, and added the patterned paper panel on top with some foam adhesive for dimension.  I recommend backing your patterned paper with a little cardstock to stiffen it up a bit.(I forgot to do this before I put all the foam on this time. I was on autopilot apparently. shhhh! 😉 )

This is a fun one to mail!  🙂 Paper Smooches: Cactus Die, Word Bubbles Dies, Green Thumb.

Check out the Paper Smooches Blog everyday! Such fun projects from the PS DT there! 🙂

Enjoy the Journey

Hooray for Friday! 🙂

Today’s Paper Smooches card is a nod to Dad and SUMMER! 😉

For this card panel, I cut several strips of red cardstock and adhered it all to a piece of copy paper, alternating strips of white cardstock along the way. (I don’t measure the strips width, I just eyeball it.) I trimmed all the edges to make it *square* and then die cut the Paper Smooches Sailboat into the center. I always hold my breath a little when I cut into something that took some time to lay up. Truth be told, it wouldn’t be tragic to recreate the panel, just time. 🙂 I then die cut the Sailboat from different colored cardstocks and inlaid it all. I think this turned out fun! 🙂I stamped the sentiment simply and trimmed it out, before adhering with foam adhesive and polishing off the whole thing with some simple stitching. A great card for Father’s Day this year!

Ellen Hutson’s New June Release!

Today, there is a fun NEW RELEASE from Ellen Hutson! eeeeeep! The Leading Ladies are quite lovely. When I saw the cute little accessories and little stamps Brandi Kincaid included in the sets, I found myself repeatedly stamping them. ❤This tiny little crab received all my attention in the newly released ESSENTIALS BY ELLEN DESIGNER DIES, LEADING LADIES – BEACH LADY BY BRANDI KINCAID! Ha! Such a fun summery set! 🙂

How cute is this little crab?!! And I am a HUGE fan of Brandi’s other new set, ESSENTIALS BY ELLEN CLEAR STAMPS, PATTERN PLAY BY BRANDI KINCAID. Such sweet and playful little backgrounds! 🙂

I colored him with Copic Markers. ❤

Here’s another crabby card:

This one is so beachy!! 🙂

Let’s Sea Where the Wind Takes Us! ❤

And of course, I had to have a crab with the cute googlies! 🙂 Again, I used another background from the afore mentioned set. I think I used all of them? LOL

And lastly, I decided to let the cute little crab rest, and bust out all the beachy accessories. 🙂

Again, I colored all these with Copic Markers too. To polish it off, I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear confetti bits and some stitching.

I’m looking forward to mailing out these lil’ summer hellos!

Be sure to check out all the fun new products released today over at Ellen Hutson HERE! Have a great Sunday!

Hey Chick!

Happy Friday, crafty peeps! 🙂 I’m here to share this fun little Paper Smooches card that I made for a friend today. 😉 It is the perfect card to send her. ❤️

I colored this cutie flamingo with Copic markers.  I reverse scored the card base and set it aside. For the background, I masked off a rectangle and blended on some Distress Oxide Inks. I used Fossilized Amber, Twisted Citron and Lucky Clover. I spattered on some black acrylic pain, added some stitching and complete. ❤

Paper Smooches: Baby Birds, Baby Birds Icons dies, Feathered Friends.

Free Hugs!

It’s the last day of school here!! I’m most excited about not packing any more lunches for a while! whoooohoooo! 🙂 Ha!

Today, I’m popping in to share this sweet Paper Smooches card. 😉 I just think this little cactus is so sweet! ❤

After stamping with Copic friendly ink, I die cut the little cactus out. After that, I colored the cactus with Copic markers. I die cut the flower frame and added that the card panel with some stitching and the sentiment. I adhered the cactus with foam. I added the cute little hearts with some Wink of Stella sparkle and some Glossy Accents on top of that.

This card ended up being so sweet to me, I had to give it to someone I love immediately. ❤

Technique Tuesday Release Day! June!

The day has come for all the new Technique Tuesday June products to be available HERE!

For this fresh new card, I used Technique Tuesday’s new Strawberry Stamp Set and the new Jam Jar Labels Crafting Dies. For this, I stamped the strawberries with Versafine ink and then I decided at the end, I wanted to color that one strawberry. Well, I was too far along to turn back now. Since Versafine is not Copic marker friendly, I pulled out my Prismacolor pencils. Whooohooo! I quite enjoy how it all turned out in the end. 🙂

I added a smidge of stitching and some twine, and the card was complete!

Be sure to head over the Technique Tuesday Blog HERE so you can check out all the DT’s projects. I always enjoy seeing them!

(If you missed my first NEW release post, click HERE. If you missed my post yesterday, catch up on that one HERE!)

Also, you can find all the NEW June products from Technique Tuesday HERE!  🙂
