Ellen Hutson’s New July Release!

Today, there is a super fun NEW RELEASE from Ellen Hutson! This release is by Julie Ebersole and you know I am a fan of what Julie whips up! This release is no exception! πŸ™‚

There is so much fun on the mermaid front, but this time I flocked to the Rainbow and Unicorns set!Β  Because: Rainbows.Β  πŸ™‚ #trouble

Go Forth and Be Fabulous! ❀

This little unicorn and all the rainbow fun! eeeeek!

For this card, I created a Distress Oxide Ink background with masking and blending.

Fantasmagorical?! ❀

I colored all the little images with Copic Markers and then added them to the cards in little scenes.

This sentiment had me at Sprinkles! I love everything sprinkles!Β  LOL! πŸ™‚

This sentiment is a RIOT! Sure to make someone laugh, I’m sure! I did!

Too funny!

And then this last card, I kept it very simple, but it probably took the longest to make! It was late at night and I was trying to line everything up with tired eyes. Silly! πŸ™‚

Rainbow delight! With Sparkly glitter to boot!! πŸ™‚

I used three new Essentials by Ellen products for these cards:

Essentials By Ellen Clear Stamps, Pure Magic By Julie Ebersole

Essentials By Ellen Clear Stamps, Unicorns ‘N Rainbows By Julie Ebersole

Essentials By Ellen Designer Dies, Unicorns ‘N Rainbows By Julie Ebersole

I also used the previously released and versatile: ESSENTIALS BY ELLEN CLEAR STAMPS, PATTERN PLAY BY BRANDI KINCAID.

For several of the cards,Β  I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear confetti bits. Love those little sparkly bits!

Be sure to check out all the fun new products released today over at Ellen Hutson HERE! Have a great Sunday!

Thanks for stopping by!

Take care– Jill πŸ™‚

Summer School!

Happy Summer! My friend Jen suggested we get our Summer School on and participate in the MFT Summer School series. I thought it was a great idea and I was game, as I always love a challenge! πŸ™‚You can Join in the fun HERE. I think there is still several days left to participate. You don’t have to do them all, by any means.

I dug into my MFT archives of well used stamps and dies and pulled out some for these projects. I had fun making them all and enjoyed the challenges. On with the cards, yes?!

For this card, I used one of my favorite Birdie Brown stamps off all time from the Polynesian Paradise set. I also used the Stripes Cover Up and the Four Way Chevron Cover up (embossed). I inlaid the strips to create subtle texture for the white space. White space rules! πŸ™‚

Primary Colors–Red, Yellow and Blue…

For this card, I used the London Mouse set and the Amazing set for the sentiment. Added some Kuretake watercolors for the background and fussy cut the mice. out. I thought this turned out fun!

I love repetition, but even more, I enjoy simplicity. It’s always hard to know if something is too simple or just enough. Especially after you’ve been looking at too long. LOL! My rule of thumb: Walk away! If you’re debating, it’s usually best to walk away. πŸ™‚

The black and white of these pandas is perfection for this. The biggest debate was what color to make the sign! πŸ˜‰ This set is called Happy Pandas and the dies are the old school version (they are solid and not cut out) which was funny to go back and figure out again. πŸ˜‰

For Complementary Colors, I chose to go with Green and “Red”, aka, Pink. πŸ™‚

This dino is from the set You’re Rawr-some! Love that sentiment! πŸ™‚ I watercolored the dino with my Kuretake watercolors (a bit too solidly for my taste). Still not sure I like this look, but it’s good to try something different once in awhile, right?

For this one, I went with these cutie Koalas colored with Copic Markers! Back to my comfort zone. πŸ˜‰

This set is called Cuddly Koalas. I also used the Chunky Herringbone stencil, Stitched Rectangle Frame and Grassy Field die. Cute cute!

To finish these, I added some stitching to each. My Panda card had some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear confetti bits added.

Big thanks to my friend Jen for suggesting we do this (Jen’s are sure to be showstoppers!!) and thanks to you for stopping by!

Take care– Jill πŸ™‚

A Cool Hello!

Happy Friday! WE made it! I thought I’d bring a little chill to our hot humid July air with a couple of cute snow people today! ❀

I hope these lil’ Paper Smooches snow peeps don’t melt.Β  πŸ˜‰

Paper Smooches goodies: Layered Hello Die, Cool Dudes, Cool Dudes dies, Kissables 2

I could not love theseΒ Cool Dudes more–my favorite snow people for sure! πŸ™‚ I colored them with Copic Markers and die cut them out. I stamped the Kissables 2 with gray twice before die cutting out the Layered Hello die. I adhered them down with foam tape, then added some sequins and Nuvo drops for some snowy goodness. I polished off the card with some Glossy Accents and stitching. Just love this sweet trio! πŸ™‚

Swinging by to Say…

Sometimes you just need to Monkey around, right?! πŸ™‚

The current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge is a Color Challenge and I wanted to join in the fun! Check it out HERE: So I made this cute little monkey card. I have been loving the retro vibe lately, so I went with that. πŸ™‚ You just gotta love the 70’s and 80’s! πŸ™‚

I colored the cute monkey from the Lawn Fawn/Ellen Hutson setΒ  Love Ya Bunches (limited time set) with Copic markers. I made strips from scrap cardstock and then used an Avery Elle frame to cut it all out. I adhered all the bit down with foam tape. To polish it off, I scored the card base and added some stitching. Fun!

The sentiment Hang in There is from this Lawn Fawn setΒ  Slow Down and Enjoy! I stamped that a little too close to the Swinging by bit, but…. well at that point, I had to run with it! πŸ˜‰

Such a fun and sweet encouragement card to send! Loving these challenge colors! πŸ™‚

Have a great and safe Fourth of July!!

My Kind of Happy!

I’m popping in today to share a little card I made to play along with the current EH Challenge and tell you about their sale! πŸ™‚ Always fun…and maybe a bit of trouble…wink wink!

The current Ellen Hutson June Color Trends Challenge is:

Here is my card:

In my mind, this card either has too much purple (LOL!) or not enough white? I’m not sure which? Or actually, it’s probably both!

I first made this card with no image, and then after taking a photograph of it, I realized it looked naked. So I FINALLY (after looking for 20 minutes) found this So Matcha by Julie Ebersole set, and colored up a sweet little image to add.

The sentiment is from this set: Β Essentials By Ellen Clear Stamps, Totally Random Sayings Vol. 2 by Julie Ebersole

Two things: 1. I’m pretty sure I always use this girl. 2. I’m also pretty sure I always color her orange! Ha!! So sweet!

I first masked and stamped on the stripes from the new ESSENTIALS BY ELLEN CLEAR STAMPS, PATTERN PLAY BY BRANDI KINCAID. (Awesome staple set to have!) Then I blended on some Purples and Greens and Mustard Seed Distress Ink. I finished it with some splats of water, white paint, and stitching. Then I went back and colored up the lil’ lady with Copics and fussy cut her out to add on top of some stamped flowers.

Here’s the naked card:

I’m glad I opted to add the sweet girl to finish off this card. That’s a whole lotta purple! Eeeek! ( If I made this again, I’d add a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear confetti bits I think.)

And before I forget, I did mention SALE didn’t I!? Hooray! Time to grab a few things you’ve been waiting for:

The day has come for all the new Technique Tuesday July products to be available HERE!

I adore this little bug set so much!! Another win from Teri Anderson! πŸ™‚

For this fresh new card, I used Technique Tuesday’s new Bugs and Kisses stamp set. I colored the cute bees with Copic Markers and fussy cut them out. I then used an old Fiskars punch for the small hexagons and scored the panel. I added some stitching and adhered everything on. Love how cute these bees are! πŸ™‚
