Thank You!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas earlier this week! I’m certain I could take a long winter nap now. Ha! Instead, I’m here today sharing a sweet Paper Smooches card. I thought it was now the season for all things *Thank You*! ❤

I love how all these cute Paper Smooches elements worked together to create a sweet scene of wintry gratitude. ❤

I die cut and assembled everything and then added the sentiment and stitching. I debated using a stencil on the card panel, but I decided to keep it clean and crisp instead.

May Your Winter Be Warm!

Are you ready for the holiday season? I’m not sure I ever fully am, but today is the last day of school for the year, so I better hustle! 🙂 I’m here sharing a funny little Paper Smooches card today!

I die cut this little reindeer and assembled him and then naturally added some giant googley eyes! Haaaaaa! It just happens! 😉

I embossed some white snowflakes on the patterned paper and finished it all off with some stitching. He’s pretty darn funny.

You Are Loved! New Release from SSS!

There is a new You Are Loved release  available over at Simon Says Stamp HERE. I used the new Love Messages sentiment set today to make this tropically card! 🙂 (Yes, that’s a word. 😉 )

I masked off a small area and added on some Distress Oxide Inks: Fossilized Amber, Spiced Marmalade and Peacock Feathers. Then I white heat embossed this sentiment over top.

I wanted to send this card now to warm up a mailbox, so I kept it more neutral vs. Valentine’s themed. Of course,  you can use this anytime and for ❤ day! 🙂

This is is FULL of sweet sentiments to give to people. I stamped on inside and then forgot to photograph before sealing the envelope. Check out the set–you’ll see what I mean 😉 . Sometimes you just need to send a little love, and today I do!

Thanks for Simon Says Stamp for having me along to celebrate this lovely release 😉 ! ❤

Thanks for stopping by! Happy Wednesday!

Take care–Jill

I love alphabet sets and Paper Smooches has some of my faves.  You can make any sentiment you want! ❤

Taylored Expressions: December Release!

Welcome to Release Day for Taylored Expressions December Release!

This first card features the new sentiment set which clearly is right up my alley. It’s called Shenanigans and it is full of funny sentiments to send to friends and family. 🙂

This little cutie dog is from the new Punny Notes set–seriously fun! 🙂 I colored him with Copic markers and brushed on a little landscape for him to stand on before scoring the panel and adding the stitching. I have to make a couple of these and send them to friends that would probably get a kick out of them. ❤

Next Up, I used You Make My Heart Soar with the Accordion Heart. How sweet is this new set? And that Accordion Heart makes me happy!

Again, I colored this bike with Copic Markers and die cut it out. I embossed the background with the Petite Scalloped Square Stacklets. I used the Set the Scene – Cloud Stencils for the background texture and of course, finished it all off with some stitching! It so adorable floating through the air! 🙂

Taylored Expressions Release Week: Day 3

Welcome to Day Three of Taylored Expressions December Release Week! If you missed my other two posts earlier this week,  I’ll link you up down below. 🙂

Today, I am sharing two cards full of Valentine’s Love. The first uses the new Backstory Valentine. For this, I stamped the background with  Fruit Punch ink pad on some Sugar Cube cardstock. I’m telling you, it is spot on for Fruit Punch color. ❤

I also used this new Just My Type stamp. I thought it would be fun in Sprinkles. I added some patterned paper to the base after cutting it with the Petite Scalloped Square Stacklets after reverse scoring it. Then I added some stitching and voila! 🙂

Next up, we have a fun gift giving card using the new Cutting Edge Hearts Stamp & Die Combo. For this used the new Fruit Punch cardstock.

It unfortunately doesn’t show up in these photos, but the Sugar Cube cardstock is white heat embossed with the new Lots of Love stencil. It looks great in person! 🙂

I just die cut the rest of the colors to match the front one and layered them up in the back, adding some stitching to finish it all off. I thought this would be fun for a teacher in February. ❤

Taylored Expressions Sneak Peeks: Day 2

Welcome back to Day Two of Taylored Expressions December Release Week! If you missed my post yesterday sharing day one, I’ll link you up down below. 🙂

This first card cracks me up–because Sarcasti-Chick has a new wardrobe this winter season: Sarcasti-Chick’s Winter Closet. I decided she needed the cute sweater and obviously a heart headband. Obviously. 🙂 I colored everything with Copic Markers.

I also used the forthcoming Framed Roses Cutting Plate. I thought it would look awesome embossed and it does!! ❤ how that turned out. 🙂

So fun! She’s a crack up!

The next cards, might just be my favorite from this release? Maybe? Ha! 🙂 I just think these puntastic new Punny Note Valentines are adorable! They were super fun to color. I am looking forward to my son using them to make a few fun valentines too. 🙂

I stamped these with Oreo ink and colored them in with Copic Markers. The Scalloped Notecard die is about the cutest little card maker ever. So sweet!

All these cut little clouds and bits are from the Notecard Accessories die set.

These little envelopes are the 3 x 3 Envelopes. I want to make all the mini cards! 🙂

I also used the Mini Mail stamp set to create all the fun envelopes that go along with these lil’ cards. I thought it would be fun to add a little color action on them. They were fun to make as well. I just had to remind myself that I could not blend Copics on them, so I had to take it easy on the blending. 🙂

Taylored Expressions Release Week! Day 1

Hello! Welcome to my first release post for Taylored Expressions! Oh Happy Day!! I am so excited to share the projects I have worked on this week. Hopefully you find some inspiration of your own for the amazing TE Creative Team too! 🙂

For these first cards, I used the new Framed Script Hello. I also had fun using the new colors of cardstock: Fruit Punch, Gumball and Mushroom! I actually love them all together. It creates a fun combo.

I just cut up a bunch of cardstock strips and glued them to some paper. Then I die cut through them, saving all the pieces to enable making TWO cards! Whoohoooo! 🙂

After inlaying/gluing all the pieces in some scored cardstock, I added some stitching to finish them off.

I just love how these turned out!

The next card I made with the new Hearts in Bloom Background. I wasn’t sure how this was going to turn out, but in the end, I enjoy the more refined stamp with the funny little sentiment from Sarcasti-chick’s Winter Closet. Cracks me up! 🙂

I stamped these with Oreo ink and colored them in with Copic Markers. To finish it off, I added some stitching.

I also used the Petite Scalloped Square Stacklets. They are square, obviously, but I just partially die cut the panel and then cut the other end. It’s a great way to stretch your dies!

Holiday Fun with Right at Home!

Good Day to you! Hope your weekend has been a great one so far! Today, I am sharing a handful of cards I made with the recently released Bells and Baubles and Fa La La from Right at Home! Gah!! I not only love the fun choices one has to build these ornaments and baubles, but I completely adore this font!  You can check out Right At Home’s most recent release HERE! There are some cutie sets there to color too! ❤
I just stamped and stamped and stamped my little heart out, using all the Catherine Pooler inks that Right at Home carries. You can find them all HERE.
My first card is full of Cheer!
I love this festive feel– It is fun for the holidays but non-traditional. Fiesta! 🙂
Here are the inks I used:
Next up, I used more details of the baubles for this one:
Again, not traditional colors, but I thought it was a fun combo and I liked the result. I also thought it would be fun to use a dark blue, Juniper Mist on all these vs. a black.
Here are the inks I used for this one:
Lastly, I made a card using just bits and pieces of this builder stamp set. I like to stretch sets outside what they might typically be used for, and these stamps could easily be used for a birthday, hello, or whatever kind of card. Think of the color combo possibilities! 😉
I just polished this off with a few little splatters for fun. 🙂

Here are the inks I used for this one:

There is also a coordinating die set for this Bells and Baubles set. You can find that one HERE. I was going to use the dies for these stamped images (below) I had in progress, but I forgot to wait to stamp the tops of the ornaments. They have their own die cuts. Hopefully I can finish these panels and make them into cards for the holiday season too!

I hope you have been busy creating lots of holiday fun too! I’m looking forward to having some more time later this month to create more with this awesome never-ending-possibilities-set!

Thank you to Nicole for having me along to create! Always a treat! ❤

Wishing you all a wonderful week!

Jill 🙂
