Sending Summer Smiles!

Hope you are enjoying your summer! Today I’m here to share a sweet little rainbow using The Stamp Market’s Dotted Rainbow! I stitched this one up and have it ready to send πŸ™‚ ! I have a “few” more to finish. πŸ˜‰

I thought it would be fun to attempt to do this stitching pattern on the rainbow and it turned out! Fun to try something different and have it work! ❀

For mounting this to the card base, I used X-press It Foam Mounting Squares. Generally, I’m a foam tape person, but these are awesome to get in the nooks and crannies of a rainbow! πŸ™‚ And I like them because the backing peels off easy! That’s a big deal to me to not fight with the backing paper. ha!

You can link to the Stamp Market Dotted Rainbow (for stitching) HERE. The sentiment is from a small set that I think was included with an order. πŸ™‚

Thanks for stopping by! Sending Summer Smiles! πŸ™‚

Take care– Jill πŸ™‚

Joyful! Concord & 9th Fun!

Happy Friday! Today I’m sharing my third post as a Concord & 9th Guest Designer for July and their Feature Friday series! Be sure to check out Karen & Carrie’s projects on the Concord & 9th Blog HERE too! πŸ™‚

All my cards today feature the new Joyful Tile Bundle. One of my favorite things is a great word die, and this more than fits the bill! πŸ™‚

Rainbow all the things! This one turned out fun! First I stamped the word “enjoy”, inking it with several colored inks and then I die cut it with the coordinating dies. I also cut the words out in fun foam and adhered them on the back of the stamped word. I stamped the graphic stamp twice, just shifting the angle to create sort of a Spirograph look. So fun! To finish it off, I added a little stitching and a few confetti sequins. I want to make more of these, of course! Ha! πŸ™‚

Next up, I made a fun holiday card–I love holiday cards with non-traditional colors! The word JOY is perfection!

I made the background with the new Joyful Tiles Turnabout Stencil pack. These stencils are pretty genius! It’s so fast to create a background with them–1, 2, 3….I use my MISTI to hold it in place and for the sharp corner.

Next up, I have another Holiday card, using a more traditional color palate. Again, I used the Joyful Tiles Turnabout Stencil pack, just trying to keep two rotations slightly lighter. When I was done with that, I used one of my first Concord & 9th sets, O Christmas Tree, to put snowflakes in the centers.

I used the sentiment stamp from the Tropical Vibes Turnabout and the word Joy again from Joyful Tile Bundle. I scored the card base for some added texture and stitched it all down. I’m loving the fact I have two holiday cards already made! It’s July! Whooooooot!!

My last card is a fun combo of the Joyful Tile Bundle and the Tropical Vibes Turnabout. I wasn’t sure what colors I wanted to use, but I just got started and ended up loving the way it came together! πŸ™‚

I stamped the word enjoy with two different colored inks, creating an ombre look in the end. I was amazed it turned out, not gonna lie. πŸ˜‰ I adhered it to the turnabout base using fun foam. I stamped the sentiment and trimmed it out, adding it with foam adhesive.

So, I have two extremes here: A summer tropical vibe and a holiday/Christmas vibe! πŸ™‚ It’s fun to use your goodies in so many different ways though, isn’t it?! πŸ™‚

You can find the whole lot of new Concord & 9th products HERE. And if you’re a bundle person, get it all HERE.

Believe in You! NEW Release from SSS!

There is a New Release available over at Simon Says Stamp HERE—Β It’s called Believe in You! I had fun using the new Greetings Mix 1. So. Many. Sentiments. ❀

A good sentiment is gold to me, and a good sentiment set, well, multiply gold by a lot, and that’s this set. Haaaa! πŸ˜‰

So I made a few cards, trying to use simple design elements, focusing more on the sentiments. It’s fun to keep it simple and get enjoyable results. πŸ™‚

This is the inside…Cloudy then rainbows. πŸ™‚ This is Simon Says Stamp Clouds for Days stencil.

Here’s a photo of the whole card:

Next up, is this sweet little ditty–I just love stripes. FOREVER. πŸ™‚

Scraps, stitching and a good sentiment. Done. πŸ™‚

This set is FULL of sentiments! FULL! It’s big!

Next up, is a blended card:

The sentiment is so bold, I thought this was good to go with some scoring and stitching! Bonus: Easily mailing friendly! πŸ™‚

Lastly, I just wanted to try a quick Thank You card! This is one of the card types I use most often, so I wanted to try and make something quick and simple. I used two different blue inks and one red. It’s hard to see the differentiation of blues in this photo, but it’s there in person. πŸ™‚

This one is perfect for my son to be able to write out and send. πŸ™‚

I hope you have found some clean and simple inspiration here today! It seems like the summery thing to do–keep it simple! πŸ™‚ Thanks to Simon Says Stamp for having me along to celebrate this fun NEW release!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend ahead!

Take care–Jill

Happy Monday! I’m here to share another project with the new Taylored Expressions Blender Brushes! You can sign up HERE to be notified when the next batch is available to order!

This one is a sweet little number with just a tiny hint of color that I think makes it both elegant with a touch of sweetness. πŸ™‚ Also, if you haven’t checked out the Simple Strips Background, I highly recommend that too–link below! It is GENIUS and forever used here. πŸ™‚

I really didn’t think I could pull this off, as I am generally heavy handed in most things I do–especially blending and coloring! But it worked! I looooooooove the fade! Gah!

I blended inks on cardstock before die cutting the word love out. You could make this the reverse order, but I didn’t want the edges to be dark from from the brush. I die cut the Better Half Cutting Plates and adhered them down before die cutting again with the Petite Scallop Stacklets.

You can find all my supplies and links to the Taylored Expressions Shop below.

Check it all outΒ over at Taylored Expressions! These brushes are WELL loved here already.

The Taylored Expressions Blog can be found HERE, to keep up with all the latest!

Thanks so much for stopping by — happy blending!! πŸ˜‰

You Deserve…

Happy Weekend! Just popping in with a fun card to share. I stamped these little coffee cups from Ellen Hutson’s Everyday Doodles by Julie Ebersole in a few colors on some other panels. They make QUICK cards and I just love the coffee cup best in this set! πŸ™‚ I love to offset the stamps slightly. Sometimes maybe more than I intended. shhhhh! πŸ˜‰

A friend of mine had a light bulb moment, when she said, make the coffee cups GREEN! Yes!! It’s such a fun nod to the whole Starbucks scene….green, stars, and obviously coffee! πŸ™‚

For this card, I used Ellen Hutson’s Everyday Doodles by Julie Ebersole (and the coordinating dies HERE) with the sentiment from Voices In My Head by Julie Ebersole. oh Julie–you are trouble! πŸ™‚

I made a handful of other cards with the Every Day Doodles set, so we’ll see if I can get around to sharing those sometime this calendar year too!Β  πŸ™‚

Have a great weekend!! πŸ™‚

Take care– Jill πŸ™‚
