Special Delivery

Hope you all had a good weekend! Our son is on Spring Break here (finally) and we are embracing it to the fullest on Day One of no school. πŸ™‚ ha!

Here’s some more fun from Concord & 9th! This set is called Special Delivery.

I decided after making these that watercolor applied with a brush to a detailed image is NOT my thing. πŸ™‚ haaa! But they did grow on me a little after I added them to this card using some of the Half Moon Paper Β from Paper Smooches. πŸ™‚

I think I just like things a little more precise and if you look at these (don’t do it! ha!), they are not. Ha! That’s ok…I embracing the watercolor looseness or trying to anyway. πŸ™‚

This set, Special Delivery, from Concord & 9th is too fun! πŸ™‚ You can find it HERE and Paper Smooches Half Moon Paper HERE.

And I made another, very similar, I thought I’d share too:

Fun for a Birthday, perhaps?

Supplies: Concord & 9th: Special Delivery; Paper Smooches Half Moon Paper.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope your week is a good one! I hope to be back again this week sharing some more cards. Fingers crossed πŸ™‚

Mail Those Cards :)

Happy Sunday!! I hope you are all finding ways to deal with our temporary changes in the world. I personally have never been so on top of laundry in my life! πŸ™‚ So that’s a perk. (Sure it helps there is so much less laundry, but let’s skip that part, shall we?) πŸ˜‰

Today’s first new card is using cutie little Paper Smooches β™₯️!! This card uses all the following Paper Smooches goodies: Sunnyville,Β Sunnyville Icon Dies,Β Inhale Exhale andΒ Fab Frames.

It also features the Rainbow Sherbet paper. Goodness–wouldn’t this be so sweet to find in your mailbow? Love this little smile!

Here’s a quick little video link to me coloring this little cutie sun and cloud from Paper Smooches: jilldhawkins on IG. It is FAR from perfect, but i enjoy it all nonetheless. πŸ™‚

Next up, I thought I’d just share these cards I have been making and finishing up to mail out. I have likely mailed out over 50 cards since this all started and I have more to send next week. But I am definitely going to need to MAKE more!! πŸ™‚ I think it’s the best time to send cards right now. ❀ A little touch of the outside world.

I love using a bunch of different postage stamps too. πŸ™‚

If you follow me on Instagram, these are not new to you likely, but thought I’d share them here on my blog too.

First up, here’s some fun from Concord & 9th!

This was a promo set Concord & 9th was giving away with orders, but THIS SET HERE is fun and delightful as well….I may or may not have this one too. πŸ™‚ shhhhh! πŸ™‚ It’s called Rainbow Wishes (stamps) and Rainbow Wishes (dies). You can get both the stamps and dies together HERE.

Once last handful of cards– I don’t own this Paper Hug die from The Stamp Market, but I borrowed it from a friend on a crafty weekend to create a handful of cards, many moons ago and just finished them all up! πŸ™‚
Hope your day is a good one and you can find some time to mail out some sunshine too! You can find fun envelopes from Taylored Expressions HERE and you can even order postage stamps online–if you need them! Just sayin’. ❀

Whale Hello!

Hello! I wanted to share one last card this month using theΒ March RELEASE from Paper Smooches!Β

I love this little whale from Huge HugsΒ +Β Huge Hugs Icon Dies and now he has a cool new wave to ride with the new Swoosh Stencil!Β  This new stencil is crazy versatile, but I thought it would be fun to use it as a wave. πŸ™‚

I blended on a few inks to create a rainbow like wave for this little guy, added some stitching and adhered him on with some foam adhesive. Oh so fun! πŸ™‚

Be sure to check out all of the Paper Smooches March Release! We’ll be back next week with some fun new goodies for April! πŸ™‚

Have a great weekend! πŸ™‚

Thanks for stopping by!

You Are Forever in My Heart…

Hope you are having a good weekend–I’m sure it’s a bit different that usual, but it just means more time to craft! πŸ™‚

I’m here to share a card using some goodies from Β Honey Bee Stamps.

I figured we could allllll use a rainbow about now, so I ran with that! πŸ™‚

I continue thinking differently about some of the products I have and this one came together swimmingly! This is the Stacking Pockets Honey Cuts….I just haven’t cut it apart yet, so I die cut it out of every color and voila, a rainbow! The best part: I can make EIGHT total cards out of these die cuts! So let’s see if if I get to that now or later.Β  πŸ™‚

The sentiment is from the Heart stamp set and the Honey Cuts: Hearts.Β  I enjoy those little hearts and the layered word “heart”. So sweet! πŸ™‚

I hope you have enjoyed my March of Honey Bee product re-purposing!Β  πŸ™‚ It’s so fun to stretch our supplies for new things.

Be sure to check out the Honey Bee Stamps blog HERE. πŸ™‚

Here’s a recap of all the new Honey Bee goodies I used and links to each below:

Exciting Time!

If you haven’t already, be sure to check out the NEW March RELEASE from Paper Smooches!Β

This card is made with the new super sweet and swank Abode set–how fun are these chairs!? gah!

I think this little set is delightful to use and I love the fun size! πŸ™‚

I colored these chairs with Copic markers and created a background using the Autumn Stencil (*bonus points for using a seasonal stencil non-seasonally, right?) as a stencil to mask in a pattern from the Essential Stencil. I thought this would be a fun card to send to someone moving or buying a new home. πŸ™‚ This sweet sentiment is from New Beginnings 2.

Be sure to check out all of the new Paper Smooches March Release!

Hope your March has been a great one so far! πŸ™‚

Thanks for stopping by!

TE Quad Colors Continued!

Hello and welcome back to a fun week over at Taylored Expressions! I hope you have enjoyed the idea of mixing up your color choices and maybe even enjoyed playing along this week already? The TE Creative Team has really wow’d me (again!) with the Quad Colors projects! Here are all the colors below. Be sure to check out all the news over on the TE Blog and see more cards!

Today, I will start out with the Quad Color called Sahara.

I created a background with two Masking Stencils using this combo–and I LOVE how easy it was with the TE Blender Brushes….he turned out well with guessing my appropriate Copic markers. Who knew? The stripes are the absolute best paired with a rectangle– <3!

Of course, it’s no secret I love the Grumplings and this one is Big Grumpy Cat! He’s so ornery and actually this card is WAY too fitting for this time in our world, unfortunately. But introverts unite, nonetheless. πŸ™‚ I colored him with Copic Markers and it turned out (surprisingly… shhhh) well for this color combo.

Next up, I have the Quad Color Barcelona:

One of my go-to cardmaking techniques is always strips of paper all stacked together. The result is always delightful to me. So when I saw this combo, that was my first idea. I thought this card would be great for a graduate–especially a pre-school or elementary school one. πŸ™‚

For this card the coverplate I used is Alphabet Soup–definitely a favorite coverplate when it comes to making anything for school or kids. I just adore the font. I added some stitching and put it all on a card base. Such fun!

If you missed my post on Tuesday for the Quad Colors, please find that post by clicking HERE.

You can find all my supplies and links to the Taylored Expressions Shop below. Also, here’s a sweet little reminder below about shipping again this month. πŸ˜‰

TE Quad Colors!

Hello and welcome to a fun week over at Taylored Expressions! It’s time to give your “color go-to choices” a shake up! The TE Creative Team has really enjoyed this exercise of Quad Colors to get out of our “normal” go-to colors! Such fun! Here are all the colors below. Be sure to check out all the fun over on the TE Blog and links to all the cards!

Today, I will start out with the Quad Color called Dublin.

I thought it would be fun to create a background with a masking stencil using this combo–because–well, they blend like butta’ together! πŸ™‚

I love this little unicorn and pegasus–Dreamer! They are so stinkin’ adorable. I colored them with Copic Markers and added all the little extras to make the card extra fun! πŸ™‚ Also, I just love this sentiment! πŸ™‚

Next up, I have the Quad Color Paris:

I love how this card came together so swiftly and lovely. This is perfect to send someone when they just need a little pick me up. ❀

Believe it or not, I do not consider myself a pastel person, so I was thinking I’d struggle with this overall pastel combo….but nope! This card came together quickly with the help of the set Spring Stems. This set has so many stamps to choose from, but I decided on simple with a repeating leaf.

I stamped everything out and then added some stitching and kept the rest pretty clean. πŸ™‚

In a stark contrast to the perky colorful Quad Color Combos I have already used here today, now I switch over to the Quad Color called Patagonia:

I actually like using grays and such, so I think there are several possibilities with this one too. For this card, I used the Toffee color as my neutral vs. my usual, Sugar Cube. I thought it was fun to make a laughable card:

What have I done? haaaaa!! πŸ™‚ I have to laugh because he let the camper go and run down the hill!!Β  ahhhh! πŸ™‚ Run and catch it little dude!!

The little On the Road -Camper combined with the Fluffy Friends is perfect for a laugh! πŸ™‚ I colored him Copic Markers. I also die cut the hills with the Snow Drifts die and added some Toffee ink with the TE Blender Brushes before stitching over the top. The Here Comes the Sun creates the perfect subtle background for this fun scene.

You can find all my supplies and links to the Taylored Expressions Shop below. Also, here’s a sweet little reminder below about shipping you might want to take advantage of this Crafty Month…possibly. Maybe? πŸ˜‰
