Hero Arts May: My Monthly Hero Kit (+Giveaway)

Happy Monday! Exciting day today as I’m joining Hero Arts to celebrate the release of their May Monthly Hero Kit!  You can find the Hero Arts May Collection HERE and you can subscribe HERE.

Hopefully you have arrived here via the blog of Jessica Frost-Ballas HERE. If not, but sure to check it out, as I’m sure you don’t want to miss it! 🙂 (And if you want to be sure to check out the Hero Arts Blog HERE of course for a full list! )

Today, I am using the Metallic Karin Markers in the kit as well as the Hero Arts stamp set and coordinating die set. Isn’t this little plane adorable? 🙂

For this card, I created a wash using the Karin Markers. First, I masked off this space with some tape. Then I scribbled some of the ink out on a mat, added some water and brushed it over on some Bristol Paper, created a little gradient with the three colors. This kit is a great way to try out a few of these Karin Markers and decide if you need to add a few more to your collection. They sure are delightful!

I love this little message…on the inside, I’ll write the recipient’s name. 🙂

Next up, I created this card using a the same concept but just blending on a bunch of colors together to create a watercolor centerpiece.

This sentiment is a great one and I thought it could definitely hold a card on it’s own!

The watercoloring warped the paper, as usual, and I felt it was better to let it roll. So I didn’t try and flatten it and adhere it flat. I am looking forward to mailing this one!

Next up, I did a blue water color wash with the Karin Marker before adhering this cute rainbow over top. This sentiment is another fave, especially given our current times. ❤

I also added some flecks of paint to add a little interest to the background. And of course, some simple stitching.

Lastly, I created a wash with the pink Karin Marker. I colored the rainbow and then fussy cut it out to add on top of the wash.

This gradient look is soooo easily achieved with these markers, a small brush, and a little water.

Sending you Love! Perfect! I need to get this one in the mail too! 🙂

I had such fun creating these cards with the Metallic Karin Markers and the cuteness of the May My Monthly Hero Arts kit! I hope you enjoy all the inspiration of so many great designers today! 🙂
