Holiday Cards

Happy Weekend–I don’t know about you, but I might still be digesting Thanksgiving! 🙂 Now, we head straight into Christmas, don’t we? It’ll be here in a FLASH! I created two cards today using Honey Bee Stamps. These are all new goodies from the Holiday Cheer Release. You can find all the fun Holiday goodness HERE. Also the Honey Bee Stamps BLACK FRIDAY SALE is on still today–but don’t wait–20% off your whole purchase!

For this card, the trees are from the Farmhouse Tree Builder set. The sentiment is from the Country Christmas Wreath and  Joy set .

I love how these colors came together on this one. I wasn’t sure, but I really like it in the end. ❤

Next up, I thought pink trees would be fun, so I ran with that. Once again, I used the Farmhouse Tree Builder set and the sentiments all from the Joy set . The little stars are from the set Country Christmas Wreath.

It feels very tinsel tree to me–anyone else? 😉

Looking forward to using these cards for gift card giving this season. 🙂

Taylored Expressions Handmade Cards

Hello and Happy Tuesday to all of you! Today I am here sharing a handful of Taylored Expressions cards. These are all previously released products from  Taylored Expressions, so you can find them over there today and anytime. 🙂

The first one is fun and the second set are those cards that we wish we didn’t need, but that are so very important to send.

First up is this little cutie! This is a Fluffy Friends – Holiday cutie along with the Backstory – Christmas Background, Mini Strips – Holiday, and the base of Masking Stencils – Hexagons. I thought this would be fun with a rainbow background!

The background is easy to create putting on all the inks on the stamp at once and using a MISTI to press fairly heavy handed over the stencil. I think I had a good impression straightaway, but if you do reink, just be sure not to cross contaminate your ink pads. 🙂

I colored him with Copic Markers and add the sentiment from the Mini Strips-Holiday to finish it all off! I don’t make Christmas cards to send out to everyone. (I relieved myself of that task several years ago after going cookoo and not enjoying it!) but I do send handmade Thank You cards if I can. ❤

Next up, I have a set of Sympathy cards. I thought the New Leaf Stencil would create a lovely background for these important sentiments from the Handlettered Sympathy set with coordinating dies called Handlettered Sympathy Dies.

It should be noted I used my Lavender Glaze brush for the first time on this card. 😉

This stencil lends itself to a soft blend of colors, and I took full advantage of that.

I decided I needed to replenish my Sympathy cards and with the TE stencils, the New Blending Brushes and a plethora of inks, these come together fairly swiftly.

I also used the Rectangle Masking Stencil to keep it all contained within a framework.

To finish them all off, I added some ink splatters and simple stitching. The secret is to go very lightly with the splatters, especially on these heartfelt cards.

The TE ink blends are always delightful, working together flawlessly. ❤

This Peaches n Cream one might be my favorite.

I hope these bring a small moment of comfort to their recipients.

Cutie Snowman Treats!

Horray for a new week and for fun little projects to keep us all busy! Today, we are enjoying these sweet little Taylored Expressions TE Project Kit-Snowman Capsules to give treats or small gifts this holiday season! These cuties are available to create when you purchase them at Taylored Expressions TODAY, November 17th!

If you remember the recent release of the Pumpkin Treat Capsules at Halloween, you’ll find the idea of the TE Project Kit-Snowman Capsules in the same vein. I LOVE these little guys and their pompom heads! 🙂 So adorable and so simple to make.

After giving out the pumpkin ones at Halloween, I can’t wait to share these. Everyone I gave one to loved how cute they were (and let’s face it, the chocolate inside!). I love simple little smiles. ❤

You rub on the little faces and then cut the carrot nose with the die included in the kit. I decided to use Taylored Expressions Felt for some added fun. 🙂 Oh and also, I do recommend this glue (link below) that I used for these because it’s sticky and it dries quickly.

I hope you enjoy making these and giving these as much as I know I am. I’m going to put some Hershey Chocolates in and leave in our mailbox for our letter carrier. 🙂

Home with Honey Bee!

Have you seen the NEW RELEASE from Honey Bee Stamps! All ready for the Holidays and such fun to create holiday cards with! You can check out the whole Holiday Cheer Release HERE!! 🙂

For this card I used the new Mistletoe Slimline Cover Plate, Slimline Mistletoe Berries, Home stamp set, and Home Honey Cuts

I enjoy the way it came together. I was hoping the Mistletoe Slimline Cover Plate die would work for a smaller card and it absolutely does! 🙂

I stenciled the berries on with some reddish pink and then put some stickles sparkle over top. I think this card is so fitting for the 2020 Holidays. ❤

Let’s put it on the Calendar, shall we?

Happy Tuesday! Today, we are enjoying the NEW Release of the the Handcrafted Calendar Kit from Taylored Expressions! This kit is available over at Taylored Expressions TODAY, November 10th! Let’s have some fun making stuff and getting ready for 2021! Who’s with me!?

This kit has every month appropriate stencils included in it and they are oh so delightful and FAST! I loved debating over what to do with each one. In the end, I created a unified look with some simple blending for each. I used a boatload of my Taylored Expressions inks over the course of these six months I created.

Of course, I decided to go Big Grumpy for the calendar because what’s better than a little laugh when you look at the calendar each time? 🙂

I colored A LOT of Big Grumpies for this. ha!  So glad too because I was cracking up in the end. 🙂

All the little stamps that are included in the kit are fun to mark all the occasions you have to celebrate/remember each month. 🙂

For the months, I white heat embossed them all together and then just added with foam tape to each month.

Big Grumpy gets extra grumpy around the holidays. ha! 😉

The wood hanger that comes in the kit is super easy to use because it is held together with magnets. So you just pull it apart and put the current month in. Or you can keep several months in there if you’d like. With my foam tape, I’d probably just put in one at a time. ❤

Such fun to give as a gift! This one took a little time, but you can simplify them so easily with the fun stencils and using anything else you have in your stash–or just the stencils and months! I think I might try that myself…. hmmmmmm. 🙂

I hope you enjoy this kit as much as I did!  You can even make yourself one and purchase an extra or few to gift this holiday season! Who can’t use a calendar? Yay for useful gifts 🙂

Enjoy! 🙂 This is a fun one for sure! ❤

Holly Jolly Release from Simon Says Stamp

I am joining the fun over at Simon Says Stamp for the new Holly Jolly release!! My cards are more of the gift giving idea… a whole set whipped up in a jif!

I made two cards to share today. I think I’ll either send these or add to the set and gift it this holiday season. 🙂 I used the new Simon Says Stamp Embossing Folder called Peony Bundle. These sentiments are both from the Concord & 9th set called Sew Pretty.

I kept it very simple beyond the embossing on both….adding some embossed lines, stitching and simple sentiments.

I created the next one in a peach color. I think the embossing folder is so lovely it just doesn’t need much more. 🙂

Dear Friend ❤

So lovely and simple to create. ❤

Thanks to Simon Says Stamp for having me along to join in Holly Jolly release! Be sure to check it all out >> HERE <<.

Have fun creating!! 🙂

Thanks for stopping by!

Take care–Jill

Did someone say…New Year?

Anyone else ready to celebrate a NEW YEAR like NEVER BEFORE? I am!! So let’s get the 2021 Party started early! We are doing just that over at Taylored Expressions today… These products are available today, November 3rd! 🙂

First up, I have my main man Big Grumpy and he is SPOT on with this fun new sentiment which is a FREE Download! You must enjoy the sentiments in this set–so so funny! This one is just the truth. 🙂

I colored him with Copic Markers and added the background using the Star Masking Stencils and the little stamps from the Tag Team Birthday set. I thought it turned out so festive, especially considering how grumpy he is! ha! I also added a little Stickles Gel to the part of the Stars to give it some shimmer! 🙂 Oh, and his little hat is from the Big Grumpy-Birthday set.

Next up, is the new Party Popper Stencil. This one reminds me of popping one of those confetti things and watching it spray out! 🙂 I used the recently released Pastel Blender Brushes. ❤

And instead of being disgruntled about 2020, I went with a Hello New Year sentiment using the previously released Over the Rainbow Sentiment (for the “hello”) and the NEW On Repeat: New Year!  You get a hand full of New Year sentiments all in one swoop! Dig that a lot! 🙂

I decided to make it into a shaker with the cutie’s from the set Life of the Party. This card ended up screaming Party! New Year! So fun! 🙂 This would be great to receive to welcome in 2021! A party in the mail!

I have high high hopes for 2021, so here’s hoping! 🙂
