Hello Beautiful: Simon Says Stamp

Hello! Today I’m sharing this Spring-Get-Here-Already card from Simon Says Stamp beaufiful new release called Hello Beautiful!  (See what I did there? wink.) This lovely is called Lavender Garden Stamp set. The coordinating dies are HERE. You can find the whole Hello Beautiful release HERE.

I stamped the watering can from the Lavender Garden Stamp set onto this tag and then masked it off to stamp the flowers next. I colored everything with Copic Markers and then added a few details to give it some oomph! 🙂

Definitely a different card than I normally make, but I am warming up to it a bit. 🙂

You can find all the goodies I used over at Simon Says Stamp! The new release is called: Hello Beautiful

Taylored Expressions: Easter Release

Today is a Hoppy  Day over at Taylored Expressions! 🙂 Spring is coming and there is a new release from Taylored Expressions today! Let’s Hop to it, shall we?

First up, I thought I’d share this card using the new  Bunch of Bunnies and Oh Hoppy Day! Eeeeep these cute little  Bunch of Bunnies that are shaped wood bunnies are just the cutest and I want to put them on all the things for Easter!

For this card, I stenciled on the bunny Oh Hoppy Day background quite simply using Sugar Cube ink. I painted the Bunch of Bunnies just using white acrylic paint. After that, I decided which sentiment I wanted to use from the Mini Strips: Easter and paired it with a bunny of many colors (using Copic Markers for the stripes) to complete the sentiment. ❤

I would send this card out any time of year, not just at Easter. 🙂 The little Pom Pom tails though–too cute!

Next up,  I have the new Jesus Script die with the Jesus Script backer die. I paired this with the sweet Pierced Lattice Cutting Plate (which I feel I am going to be using  A LOT!) and a few little flowers from the Spring Wreath dies.

I even used Lavender Glaze for this card because it seemed the right thing to do with this sentiment.

The sentiment strip is from Simple Strips: Easter Blessings. This new Simple Strips is full of lovely sentiments to use this Easter.

Next up, I have the fun new Playful Plaid Background. I decided I would stamp and emboss it in white and the use the Stencil Strips-Clouds to create another layer to the background. I don’t really know how these ideas come to be as I am making things, but voila in the end, here they are! 🙂 ha!

This new background is indeed playful and I can see using for a variety of occasions. Baby cards, winter cozy cards, well, pretty much anything!

I decided I wanted to use the Peep sentiment from the  Mini Strips-Easter. And once you choose a Peep sentiment, what is one to do? Well, Peeps of course–aka The Little Bits Marshmallow Bunnies dies!  I love the iconic Peeps at Easter. And while I am not a super fan of eating them, per say, I do enjoy having one little yellow bunny Peep and biting off their ears.  shhhhh.  Oh for Peeps sake! 🙂

This would be a card which would be able to be produced in multiples fairly easily. 😉

Next up, I have the card that might possibly be my favorite of this release. This card uses the new Springtime Smiles set. And naturally, it includes the oh so cutest little stamps. I had to use this little bunny tooshie because it’s too adorable!

For the card itself, I die cut and layered up lots of the TE Mini Slim goodies. I used the Petite Scallop Mini Slim Stacklets and the  Stitched Mini Slim Stacklets to create these frames/layers.

I used the carrot to create a fun background, coloring those and the bunny in with Copic Markers.  One of my favorite parts of this card though is the inside where I used the Set the Scene-Grass stencil to create a little place to stamp this sweet sentiment. (Apparently I really like this sentiment because I didn’t even realize I used it twice til I had taken all my card photos–ha! 🙂

I love nobunny butt you! Can’t even! 🙂 To create this green grass, I used both Granny Smith and Cilantro.

I originally thought I’d just stamp the carrots in Candy Corn and Sweet Potato Pie to create a patterned background and then I ended up coloring in all the carrots with Copic Markers. Definitely a different look that I usually create just stamping in Oreo, but a fun change! Oh I also masked a frame around the stamping/coloring so I wouldn’t be outside the range of the Stitched Mini Slim Stacklets frame.

All these products are available now over at Taylored Expressions.

Field Notes 2 Kit from Taylored Expressions!

Today is a lovely new release. This one follows on the heals of the previously release kits Field Notes. This is a smaller set, but just as delightful. It’s the Field Notes 2 Kit release today at Taylored Expressions! 🙂 Lori Craig has quite the knack for drawing up these lovely florals, a skill I don’t even remotely possess, even one iota! 🙂

This new release is available at Taylored Expressions today! 🙂

First up, I really wanted to make a full bundle of flowers and tie it up with twine. The die that is included in the kit makes this so easily achievable and I just love that look. 🙂 I used Karin Watercolor Markers to watercolor this in.

I used the Frame in Frame 2 to create a frame and then used the line stamps in this set to create a border. I love those sketched lines (I stamped in Mushroom) and I think I could those often for other cards o’ plenty too! 🙂 These flowers are just so lovely! ❤

I also used the little splatter stamp included on this set to fill in a little white space on this card. Love that little stamp and I am going to be using that A LOT! It’s a controlled splatter for when you need a little something.

Next up, I created a more “one layer” card with just two layers–wink wink. I stamped the lovely bundle off the corner of the card on both ends and then stamped this beautiful sentiment in the middle. I filled in a little blue watercolor with the Karin Markers again to create a wash.

After it was all set, I die cut the whole panel with the Petite Scallop Rectangle Stacklets and stamped it with the Splatter Background stamp in Mushroom. Another stamp that will be used pretty much all the time! 🙂

Lastly, I wanted to use the mask that is included in the kit as well. I wanted to use it very simply and it worked out wonderfully. I highly recommend going this route if you are a little pinched for time. I enjoy the lovely look it creates very easily.

First I stamped the flower bundle, again off the corners of the cards. Then I sprayed the back of the mask with some Pixie Spray to hold it in place. After all that was set, I laid the patterned stencil over top (again pre sprayed with Pixie Spray) and blended on a few colors of ink over top.

Oddly, I used the same two sentiments again, but there are I believe four sentiments to choose from in the set. I do that a lot! ha! 🙂

I love the fonts on these sentiments. This card, I am not as super fond of, but I do think that it still turned out and I will be sending this–hopefully I need it no time soon though. ❤

So many things you can do with this lovely Field Notes 2 Kit. Another big shout out to my friend Lori would created these flowers! So much talent! ❤

St. Paddy’s Day Release from TE!

Today is a lucky day! It’s the St. Patrick’s Day release over at Taylored Expressions! 🙂 It’s all about the Shamrocks and Good Luck! This new release is available at Taylored Expressions today! 🙂

First up, I thought I’d share this cards using the new Shake your Shamrock Stamp & Die Combo along with the new Mini Strips – St. Patrick’s Day. I thought it would be delightful to take a turn from the greens of St. Pat’s and go for the RAINBOW!

The way this stencil layers over the stamped stems (which I stamped in Mushroom) is so much fun. It’s very easy to do and I want to do all the color combos! 🙂 The sweet shapes along with these sweet colors makes me happy! 🙂

I decided to layer in a few Shamrocks using the Little Bits – Shamrocks die underneath the Simple Strips cut with the Mini Strips – Asymmetrical Die. So sweet!

Next up, we have some more traditional St. Paddy’s day colors and icons–cutie leprechauns from the new Lucky Leprechaun Cling & Clear Combo. You’ll have to check out this stamp because it works like the previously released Snowman and Pumpkins, etc. where the stencil that accompanies it fits perfectly in the spaces left. For my card, I decided to just use that Lucky Leprechaun Stencil to stencil on bundles of Shamrocks!

Shenanigans?! Yes! haaaa haaa! I love this little sentiment from the new Mini Strips – St. Patrick’s Day. For this I just used the Mini Strips Die.

I used the Petite Scallop Square Stacklets and added that to a scored panel. I think these little guys are so cute and I love how this came together. I still have a bunch of leprechauns on my desk and I think they need a home too! 🙂

All these products are available now over at Taylored Expressions.
