Pinkfresh Studio: New April Release

Hello! I am excited to be here today to share a couple cards I made with the lovely NEW April  release from Pinkfresh Studio! Hopefully you have arrived here from Jenny’s Blog. If not be sure to hop back there by using THIS link.

First up, I am excited about this new Take Care die because I haven’t always wanted this sentiment! 🙂

I used strips of scrap cardstock to create the Take Care and I am enjoying how that worked out. The Leafy Branch is so simple and perfect for many things, but I couldn’t resist a good white on white myself. I think this die would work awesome in a Rainbow of colors.

Next up, I have the new Butterflies stamp set. First there is the stamp set, and the Butterflies die set and the Butterflies Stencil set.

This was a fun and different way for me to stamp, die cut and stencil a stamp. First, you stamp the Butterflies stamp set and then, you use the different Butterflies Stencil layers to fill in the Butterflies wings. Finally, to finish it off, you use the Butterflies die. What’s an added bonus is that the stamps are all one piece, as is the die. So you don’t have to line up two dies, you just line up both, all at once! 🙂

For this, I had fun using the Pinkfresh Ink Cubes which come in a great sets perfect for layering. I used the Rise & Shine and Morning Sky. I was loving trying all the color combos with the inks, but landed on this one as my favorite, for the day. Ha! It’s fun to give these little wings a little foam tape and a pop up to make it fly! 🙂

AND Bonus news:  THERE IS A GIVEAWAY!

Pinkfresh Studio will be giving away a total of TEN $25  gift cards along the hop. Winners will be picked from all the comments.

Taylored Expressions: Teacher and Grad Release!

One of the cards I make the most is Teacher cards and so for me, it’s a fun day at  Taylored Expressions –there are lots of new goodies to celebrate all the Teachers and Grads in our lives! 🙂

First up today, I am using the new Full Circle-School. I stamped it, heat embossed it and then I die cut it with one of my most used stacklets for such occasions: Apple Stacklets.

I decided this would be fun on a Mini Slim card and so I used both the Mini Slim Stitched Stacklets and the Mini Slim Petite Scallop Stacklets. I also stamped the Full Circle-School in tone-on-tone with Toffee ink on Toffee cardstock. I seem to use Toffee often on Teacher cards? I think that might be because I like it with the Red Pepper apple. 🙂

I added a bit of twine to the stem after I blended on some green inks. I white heat embossed the sentiment on vellum and stitched that on the panel. Before I adhered everything to the card base, I decided to blend on some Sugar Cube ink to the Oreo top fold Mini Slim card. To finish it off, I used the new Cosmic Bits!

Next up, I thought I’d veer from a typical Teacher card color palette. I love how this turned out! I used the new I Pick You stamp and stencil.

I used Confetti Cake with the stencil and stamped the apples with Granny Smith, Cupcake and Toffee. I love these stamps that have the coordinating little dies for cutting out the little apples (or pumpkins, snowmen, etc. in the past). Pretty sure I definitely need to order another little apple die.

I thought this was a fun and a slightly different way to put on the sentiment. Of course, in true Jill style, I used the same sentiment on both cards today! 😂 I don’t know how I do that, but I do it all the time. However, I promise there are lots of great sentiments in this set besides the one I used, twice! haaaa!

Oh and I stamped the Inside Scoop- Teacher on the inside and completely forgot to take a photo of that. Another thing I do all the time! 🙂 Ack!

And BONUS TIME!! There is a NEW Big Grumpy Grad download to make some fun celebratory cards for Graduation and really, for anytime. There are a few sentiments that work for everyday congrats too, which I love!

I was laughing so heard when I read this one! 🙂

I colored Big Grumpy-Bear with Copic Markers and then masked off this background area before using the Confetti Toss stencil and Stickles-Nebula paste. I love that Nebula paste because it has these cute little stars in it too! 🙂

Next up, I thought it would be fun to use this sentiment. Also usuable for so many occasions. 🤣 Congrats you took out the trash! Here’s a card! I kid, but you know what I’m saying. I love this little bit of snark for everyday or for those Grads with the same silly sense of humor too. 🙂

I made this background with the Masking Stencils-Stars (I used it and shifted it around a bit to use it again) and the Diagonal Stitched Square Stacklets. So fun! 🙂

This sentiment is a trip. And if you haven’t used these Free Big Grumpy sentiments before, it is very easy to do. Check out the information for printing and stamping them over on the TE Blog and website.

I colored Big Grumpy on both with Copic Markers.  These two are some of my all time faves of my TE stash.

Taylored Expressions: New Blender Brushes!

Super itty bitty big news over at  Taylored Expressions today–there are NEW Bitty Blender Brushes and they are oh so very cute–they are BITTY!! AND a new White Brush and a Black Brush! Is our collection complete? I’m not sure 🤣 ! 🙂

First up today, I am using the new Rainbow Repeat. I love this new stencil!! eeeeek! The possibilities! I blended on Cupcake, Peaches n’ Cream, Granny Smith, and Sprinkles. Once I blended all those on with the new brushes, I came back and filled in the rest with Lemon Meringue.

I thought it would be fun to use the little unicorn from the Little Critters set. I colored them with Copic Markers and then fussy cut them out. This sentiment is from this set too. I white heat embossed it and strung it across a frame from the Frame in Frame 2 set.

Next up, I used the new Delightful Daisy stencil. Using the new small brushes, it is fairly quick and easy to ink up the flowers individually. I didn’t mask off anything. Instead, I used complimentary colors in case there was any cross contamination.

I figured this would be perfect for a Mom card–I would use this card for Mother’s Day, but I think it can be used any time as well. ❤

The sentiment is from the Mini Strips – You’re the Best set. I die cut that with the Asymmetrical Mini Strips die. I used the On the Block -Mom stamp and die. For the background, I used both the Scalloped Circle Masking stencil and the Masking Stencil Circles stencil, in conjunction with the new Delightful Daisy stencil.

I wanted to make one more card with the Rainbow Repeat Stencil. This one I used the Rainbow Repeat Stencil in conjunction with the Square Masking Stencil. AND…. are you sitting down? I dropped a hint of purple in there with the Eggplant. Who am I?

I thought this turned out fun adding this sentiment from the Simple Strips-Crafty set. I so enjoy that set! 🙂  I just got a bunch of my Simple Strips organized in their Simple Strips storage containers over the weekend. So happy to have them easily accessible!

All these products are available now over at Taylored Expressions.

Taylored Expressions: Butterfly Wishes + Buttoned Up Kids

Today, there are two fun new Kits available over at  Taylored Expressions. There is the new Butterfly Wishes (which I LOVE) and the new Buttoned Up Kids Kit, which my son LOVED! We were both loving life here with these kits.

First up, there is the Butterfly Wishes kit which I cannot say how fun it is to use the stencils alone in the kits! 🙂

And don’t even get me started on the stickers/seals!! But I digress…

Anywho–so as long as I was stenciling away, I thought it would be smart to make a few panels. Which turned into about six total, but I only finished four here. So first, you stamp the little butterfly bodies and antennae on your panel. This part of the kit is called: Butterflies Stamp & Stencil Combo.

On the white panels, I used Mushroom ink and on the Toffee panels I used Sugar Cube ink for their bodies and antennae. Then it is very easy to line up the butterfly wings to the bodies because the stencils are etched, creating an extra visual. The first layering stencil has either the top or bottom of the butterflies wings and then the second has the other half. So you can create different gradients or use different colors entirely on the different parts of the butterflies! This is quite fun because the endless possibilities and combos! Gah! ❤

On the Toffee panels, I first laid down a layer of Sugar Cube before applying the color inks. This allows the color inks to sit atop the Sugar Cube and I think creates a more vibrant color ending.

I wasn’t super careful to line up my stencils overtop of it either, so you can see the Sugar Cube poking out there underneath, which I actually wanted. I might even offset it more next time! 🙂

I love using a rainbow of colors to create these blends too! I used the Frame in Frame 2 dies to cut them all out.

AND there is a whole other stamp set, Clearly Crafty Butterfly Wishes stamp set, is meant to add even more detail to these cutie little butterflies. AND dies for the Butterflies: Butterflies die collection. I however, didn’t even use them on these cards and they are still delightful. Be sure to check out the rest of the Creative Team‘s projects to see how lovely projects are adding those detailed stamps.

The sentiments in the Clearly Crafty Sweet Sentiments set are all included in the kit as well. Perfect array for making card sets! I just heat embossed mine on vellum before stitching them on.

Next up, I have a fun little kit designed with kids in mind: Buttoned Up Kid’s Kit. My son, who is ten years old now (correction: ten and a HALF), doesn’t have the threshold that he used to with cardmaking. We’d spend several hours making things. Now, his attention span isn’t as long to hang with Mom. Ha! So this card kit is PERFECT for him!

He made these four cards quite quickly. If you have kiddos that have longevity, think of all the fun little details you can add to these as well! ❤

His favorite part was putting the buttons on. The kit includes Glue Dots and that makes it super easy to adhere the buttons so they don’t go anywhere.  You just give the Glue Dots a good rub over and the friction/heat from your finger adheres the dot to the button’s surface well.

One can even put the buttons as the centers in the flowers, but my son decided that flowers don’t get buttons. haaaaa! 🙂

This one above was his favorite and he brought it to his teacher the very next day! These are perfect for anyone, anytime. Teacher Appreciation, a Coach, a friend, a caregiver, Grandparents, etc. etc.! And there are plenty in the kit to make several cards!

He loves to use Mom’s Copic Markers! 🙂

I think we both loved this kit because it makes it so easy to create these cards. We didn’t even need to be in my craft area to access a bunch of supplies, because everything we used was in the kit already (except the MISTI and the handful of markers he chose, of course.) I’m keeping the kit all together so we can just pull the whole thing out to create more when we need them.

Apparently, the more is more with regards to adding buttons…. add ALLLLLL the buttons! haaa! 🙂

We might need to get some more cards to make! 🙂 I’m thinking this would make a sweet birthday gift for a little creative friend too. ❤

Goodness, I adore this kit. Streamlines cardmaking for kids and encourages giving! And THESE STICKERS? YES, please! 🙂

Such fun we had! The Kid’s Kit is so reasonably priced and all set to grab-n-go for kids to take with them! Be sure to grab the Hip Hip Hooray stamp set if you need that too–sold separately.

Taylored Expressions: Mom Release!

We are celebrating all the Moms over at  Taylored Expressions today. It’s a lovely release that can be used for many occasions AND people, even other than Mom. ❤

First up today, I am using the new Dear Mom and new Gathered Greenery.  The boldness of this font and the size of this sentiment lends itself to a lot of different techniques! For this card, I kept it pretty simple stamping the background, color blending, and then embossing the sentiment over it.

I did use sort of an ombre inking technique on the Gathered Greenery background while stamping it. I used all the colors on the stamp, as I learned that would give me the look I wanted vs. stamping it all in one color. It just takes a little more patience and you want to be sure to put your yellow ink on first etc.

I thought this turned out quite happy! And the funny part is inside…

bwwwwwaaahahahahaa!!

Next up, we have Pretty Posies. I actually used this flower upside down and made it into a cone flower vs. a posie! ha! How’s that for stretching your supplies?

For the background, I used the Mini Slim Cable Knit stencil, blending on Lemon Meringue, Pineapple, Grannie Smith and a touch of Cilantro!

Lastly, I wanted to try the kissing technique with the bold font of the Dear Mom, in combination with the new Gathered Greenery. It worked out so well!

First I stamped the Dear Mom in all the different colored inks in a solid. Then, once again, I inked the Gathered Greenery with multiple inks to create a rainbow sherbet background.

The last color I used was Honey and I didn’t blend it super well, but I went with it all anyway. 🙂

The Perfect Parent sentiments are too funny for the inside (or outside) of the cards!

All these products are available now over at Taylored Expressions.
