Love Grows Here Kit from Taylored Expressions

It’s that time of the month and it’s May! So…. a NEW TE Card Kit and it’s called: Love Grows Here! Taylored Expressions has this available today, along with lots of little extras, if you’d like. 🙂

Let’s get this Plant Party started, because I have no shelf control 😂😂

So fun–I love a good pun, and this one made me laugh. Of course, to really bring home the message, plants with googley eyes– I couldn’t resist! I used these combos for inks on the pots–lots of new colors! Mango and Candy Corn & Snow Cone and Cotton Candy.

I foiled one of these new panels from the Foil It – Essential Patterns with Champagne foil to create a “wallpapered” background, if you will.

Oh and I cut it out with the Stitched Rectangle Stacklets before stitching it on. 🙂

Next up, I wanted to create a wall of plants. I was originally thinking I’d do that organic wall of plantings only, but then I missed the pots… so I added them in. 🙂

I created a subtle background white heat embossing the new Knock on Wood Background and the Big Circle Cutting Plate.

I also love this sentiment–because some days are really like this, aren’t they? 🤣 I also used the Shelf Control Coordinating Dies (purchased separately) to cut out the sentiments on my cards.

So fun–this kit is super easy to create fun little cards with and I am looking forward to planting more myself. These need zero water to enjoy endlessly! Don’t forget the cutie Love Grows Here envelope seals too!

I forgot to take a photo of the inside of my card and I mailed it to Iowa—I might have to ask someone there to do it–oops!

For this card, not only did I use the Gus & Gertie – 4th of July Stamp & Die Combo, I used Masking Stencils – Stars for the background along with Little Bits – Stars. I used Gumball, Cherry Pop and Blueberry along with some Stickles for shimmer shine!

I created the hill Gus is standing on with the Build a Scene – Heart Fence & Hill. I used the Rounded Rectangle Stacklets with the Ridged Rounded Rectangle Stacklets. It’s the perfect setting for these cuties! 🙂

Oh and we cannot forget the banner! That is new and from the Fly Your Flag Die & Clear Combo. You can die cut these fun banners and then fold them super easily for this dimensional look. The sentiments are included, so you have several to choose from. These are such a fun addition to the TE catalog!

Ok, next up, we have these fun new shaker bits AND Foiled Land That I Love sentiments. You may have the Land That I Love Dies for these sentiments in your stash, so check for those first. But the Foiled sentiments are new. I used Deep Blue foil for this and it’s definitely a great fit!

The new little shaker bits are FUN!! These are called Bits & Pieces Patriotic Party. I love a good shaker bit! 🙂 The star is created with the Star Stacklets. These have been around, but they are new to me and I want to use them often now. I created the shake window using two different sized Stars from the set.

I used the new (new last week) Stitched Easy Strips and made this background with the Star Stacklets. I used one of the newer Easy Strips Maps, v. 2 for this design with the colors Cherry Pop, Snow Cone, Blueberry and Sugar Cube. Love these new Stitched Easy Strips.

I kept the rest of the card very simple to let the shaker piece be the flagship of the design…. wink wink.

NEW COLORS from Taylored Expressions today!

Today at Taylored Expressions, there is a new release of COLORS today!! Oh goodness I am so excited to share the news!! Buckle up, here we go….

SEVEN new colors to be exact: Dragon Fruit, Bubblegum, Mango, Kiwi, Dill Pickle, Cotton Candy and Snow Cone! There isn’t a new color I don’t full enjoy, so how can I play favorites? Well, I had to start somewhere. 😂

First up, we I used Dragon Fruit, Bubblegum, Strawberry Milkshake, Blueberry, Cotton Candy and Snow Cone AND I used the new Stitched Easy Strips. Just went I thought Easy Strips couldn’t be any better, BAM!

I also used the NEW Easy Strips Maps, v. 2 (which will also work with the previously released Easy Strips). These are so fun and craftherputic to put together. I just want to cut all the strips and put together all the maps.

Once I put it together, I die cut it out with the A2 Stacklet dies. The sentiment is the Shout Out – You Did It! Die which I die cute twice–once in Blueberry and once in Sugar Cube. I left the die cuts in the negative to keep everything lined up perfectly and then just put liquid glue to adhere. I thought for sure things would get wonky, but somehow I lucked out. 🙂

I love how this came together!

Next up, I used the inks and the Hexagon Masking stencils to get abstract. This time I used Dragon Fruit (which I super love), Mango, Kiwi, Dill Pickle, Cotton Candy, Blueberry and Oyster.

I used some accent stamps from the Abstract Accents Stencil & Clear Combo and the sentiment is from the Oh Yes You Did set with coordinating dies too.

Next up, I snuck in a card for Mother’s Day using the new colors. For this one, I stamped the Full of Flowers Cling & Clear Combo in Oyster and then added the new colors: Dragon Fruit, Mango, Kiwi, Dill Pickle and Cotton Candy.

The “Mom” is called On the Block – Mom and the Simple Strip is from the Mini Strips – Floral stamp. I think I also added a smidge of Granny Smith in there…

I also used the Hexagon Stacklets and the Ridged Hexagon Stacklets to create the panel. The background is created with the Diamonds Piercing Plate. This was a fun little number to put together.

I have been using the new colors more and more, and I’m a fan! Hooray for these new additions.

Taylored Expressions… for the Guys!

Today at Taylored Expressions, there is a new release For Him!! Sometimes we need to make all the Dude cards, right? I don’t know about you, but I like to keep things simple (shocking!) for the guys, and this release creates cards easily and awesomely for the guys.

First up, we have the new stencil set that you can create four cards with 1-2-3! I only have photos of three because there was a mishap and I was under the weather at the time :).

You create all four little panels at once using the layering stencils in the set, and then come back and add the details with the clear stamps in the set. The sentiments are all from the Mix & Match-For Him set, which is also new today. You really can Mix & Match these up because each stamp is separate–which is awesome for versatility in your stash.

For these panels I used Dijon, Avocado, Gumball, Blueberry and Blue Corn. I made another set using Sweet Potato, but I wasn’t loving it at the time. Eventually though, I will make those cards up. too. 🙂

I added some splatters to the panels before die cutting them out with the NEW STACKLETS! Yes! More new Stacklets! Hooray! I used the Circle Stacklets, Hexagon Stacklets, Circle Ridged Stacklets and Hexagon Ridged Stacklets. BIG FAN of the Ridged Stacklets. These are going to be used often to just add that detail without adding bulk. LOVE!

And check the new Insiders out–These are called The Insiders- For Him. I always forget to take a pic of the inside of the card when I actually put something inside! But this time, I remembered! 🙂

I used the Cloudy Days Masking Stencils that were released with the Here Comes the Sun Kit, but separately, so you can still order this gem!

And lastly, this card was created with the Through the Woods set. I can see using this set ALL year… winter trees!! Eeeep!

For these trees, I used Cilantro, Granny and Dijon. For the background, I used the Rectangle Masking Stencil with Gumball and Blueberry inks. I was going for a dark sky, but it almost looks wintery, doesn’t it? So cozy.

The sentiment I used is from the new Dude Sentiments set, which I am very glad to have. I sometimes need to make Thank You cards for guys and I thought this card would be perfect! I am glad I have this example to create more from.

OH and the CARDSTOCK! Can you see the fabulous cardstock panel behind there? This is the new Woodgrain Cardstock from TE. OOOOOOOhhhh I love it! I’m thinking I better buy another pack of each: Sugar Cube and Toffee so I have them on the ready. Big fan of adding that warm texture so easily.

Celebrate In Style Release from Taylored Expressions

Today at Taylored Expressions, there is a new release for Celebrating in Style!! Let’s get the party started!

I used the new Birthday Balloons Stencil and Die Combo along with the new Building Blocks Milestones. The balloons are created with layering stencils and then you just die cut those out. I kept mine the same, but imagine the color combos you could mix up! It’s so fun to create and personalize your cards to the Nth degree– Get it? ha! 🙂

The best is using the Just a Number and Just A Number Backer to really step up the personalization. You can make all the cards the stores don’t sell right? 🙂

And I used the Embossing Folder – Take a Number to create a subtle backdrop for the party balloons. More exciting news: There are new Stacklets! I used the Rounded Rectangle Stacklets here on this card. I am so excited to have some new Stacklets! Lastly, I used the new Silver Glitter Drops to party this card up even more! So festive!

Next up, I thought it would be fun to create a card you likely don’t see in the card shop to buy? Typically, they sell milestone cards only right? Well, I thought I’d celebrate a 17th Anniversary!

For this card, I created a tone on tone look with Passion Fruit, Dijon and Sweet Basil, using a different stencil (there are three patterns) and the die cut again–Birthday Balloons Stencil and Die Combo.

Again, I used the Just a Number and Just A Number Backer along with the Building Blocks Milestones. For the background on this Mini Slim card, I used the new Ridged Rounded Rectangle Stacklets to create some texture. So glad to have the new Stacklets in my stash!

Here Comes the Sun Card Kit from Taylored Expressions

It’s a super sunny day over at TE! There is a new Card Kit and it’s called: Here Comes the Sun Card Kit! Taylored Expressions is releasing this today and there are lots of fun extras, in addition to the kit. Details on those extras at the end of my post here.

First, let me say that this kit has my name written all over it. It has sunshine and cute little smiley faces, so really, I was immediately ALL in. 🙂

First up, I used one of the cute and super fun additions to the kit: Radiant Cutting Plate. I was planning on using this vertically til I finished putting all the rays in and realizing… OH, this needs googley eyes!! 🙂

I can’t even stand it! 🙂 Plus I can make five more of these pretty quickly because I have all the pieces die cut out already. 😉

I added the smiley from the kit —Clearly Crafty Here Comes the Sun stamp set and some stitching and called it good! I always say simple cardmaking is actually tricky, but when you’re done, you’re done. 🙂

The little sentiment is from the Clearly Crafty Here Comes the Sun stamp set too.

Next up, I have this cutie pie using the , the Here Comes the Sun die collection, Rotating Cloud Stencil and the sentiment from Shine So Bright stamp set along with the Shine So Bright die collection (sold seperately).

Naturally, I had to add googley eyes here too. I mean, I’m pretty sure this kit just screams googley eyes! 🙂 I used three colors on the stencil to ultimately create the rainbow colors. I thought this turned out fun.

I used the following inks: Lollipop, Pineapple, and Cookie Monster. I also used the Petite Scallop Square Stacklets in two sizes. So fun! Oh and I used the previously released Rainbow Cloud Duo.

Lastly, I just wanted to use the foil panels and I thought this one turned out fun–again… Googley. Eyes. I told you–ha!

I used the Shatter Glass Silver foil and then used the Shine On Layering Stencil set. The sentiment again comes from the Shine So Bright stamp set, which I white heat embossed. The smiley comes from the Clearly Crafty Here Comes the Sun set. Gah So cute!!

Again, I added some stitching and a those little pink cheeks before cutting the panel with the Stitched Rectangle Stacklets and layering it on the Petite Scallop Rectangle Stacklets.

Oh and the Cloud Stacklets die collection is available–I never got it and I am excited to get it now!

Needless to say, I am a HUGE fan of this kit! To be fair, I haven’t met a kit I didn’t like yet 😊. Just a heads up, there are super cutie little envelope seals available for this one too. I do not need any more envelope seals but you betcha I’m ordering a couple packs. 😂

Celebrate the Grads with Taylored Expressions

Today at Taylored Expressions, there is a new release to celebrate the Grads!! And I was able to use the cutie little Gnomies! Here we go!

For these cuties, you will need the original set of Gnome Sweet Gnome and then add on this new Gnome it All- Dress Up. Somehow, I ended up with two girls! I think the one is actually me. ha! 🙂

There are options for how you want to dress them up…use a little or many things in the new set! I decided to make two and make they both different.

For the banner, I used the new Class of 2023 set and the banner is in the Gnome Dress Up die set. This one also includes the formerly released Full Circle School. I thought that would be fun in a circle as a shaker background with these delightful little stars!

I made the shaker using the Stitched Frame Stacklets. I used Blueberry and Sweet Potato Pie as my prime little graduate colors. I also used the Lucky Leprechauns- Dress Up for her little outfit behind. So cute!!

And I wanted to use another little gnomie I made, so I included her on a tag. I created the background with the new background stamp called Hats Off Grad Background, using Versamark and the the TE Pearl Embossing Powder. I used the Tag Stacklets 2 and the Pierced Tags layered.

The sweet little Simple Strip is the Simple Strips in Reverse-Everyday Occasions, foiled with Denim foil. So cute! Always fun to see a new addition to the Gnomes!

Spring Florals Release from Taylored Expressions

Today at Taylored Expressions, there is a new release for Spring Florals!! This release includes probably one of my all time favorites for Create-In-Quads–Just sayin’! 🙂

Let’s jump right into that Quad, shall we? This one is called Ever in Bloom and it is lovely and has a lot of extras to add on to perk it up even further!

For these backgrounds, I used Stitched Rectangle Stacklets, Petite Scallop Rectangle Stacklets, Frame in Frame 2, Pierced Circles Cutting Plate and Rays Pierce & Cut Plate.

I used two widths of Easy Strips on the card above to give a landing place to my sentiment, using the majority of this floral panel this way. I used the following inks: Strawberry Milkshake, Raspberry Sorbet, Dijon, Honey, Spearmint, Mint Julep and Poblano Pepper.

I also used the following two circle dies to frame my sentiments on Vellum: Open Scallop Circle and Stitched Frame Stacklets 3. I love how these came together. 🙂

I foiled 3 out of 4 of them with Pewter Foil, which you cannot tell in these photos, but in person, it gives that little extra shimmer sham. 🙂

The one just above here, I used the Create-In-Quads Ever In Bloom Sprays Die to cut this out and placed it on the card with foam tape. OH and all the sentiments are from the Hello Lovely stamp set die cut out with the Hello Lovely dies.

This card above, I used the Create-In-Quads Ever in Bloom Frame Die to cut out the center and frame the sentiment. And I backed that with the Rays Pierce & Cut plate–perfect to draw to the center. I love that these fun extra Quad dies exist! You can do just a little bit more with this Quad this way.

I added Drip Drops and stitching to complete my cards. Goodness, this Create-In-Quads Ever in Bloom creates some lovelies! 🙂

Next up, I have this sweet little summertastic card using the new Dragonflies Stamp & Stencil Combo. I also used the Dragonfly Dreams Clear Stamp and the Dragonfly Die. (If you were at Stamp Joy in person in October, check your stash!)

I stamped and die cut out the extra Dragonfly for a little extra detail that is fun to add. I added all the little details to the Dragonflies as well. Also I added all the little Hellos too! 🙂

The Hello die is called Get the Word Out – Hello but there is a new one that is the same, but it’s called Get the Word Out – Thanks released today! I’ll be using that one a lot for sure. 🙂

New “For Her” Release from Taylored Expressions

There is a new “For Her” Release today at Taylored Expressions! This release has lots of goodies for Mother’s Day as well as sweet florals we can use everyday–Love that!

First up, here’s a fun little duo made with the same stencil set. It is called Boots & Blooms and you get two cards 1-2-3! I added a little fuss to mine in the end, but honestly, you can stencil this quick and simple and be done!

I stenciled the boot/watering can with Gumball and Blueberry inks, going back to add a few details with my white gel pen.

For the background on this first one, I used the Pierced Circles Cutting Plate along with the Stitched Rectangle Stacklets and Petite Scallop Rectangle Stacklets. The sentiment is from the New Mix & Match For Her stamp set and the Honeycomb Cluster Die was previously released as well.

The sentiments above all rest on the previously released Modern Sentiment Labels. (I trimmed one of them down using partial die cutting 😉) I stenciled the flowers with Strawberry Milkshake, Lollipop, Peaches n Cream, Candy Corn, Banana Cream Pie, Pineapple, Granny Smith and Peapod.

When I was done stenciling, I added a few sweeps with some Copic Markers to added a little more texture. Very slightly–you can add more detail or add none. Honestly, I would typically add no extra coloring myself, as they turn out lovely with the different layers alone. 🙂

I used the Diagonal Stitched Square Stacklets and the Petite Scallop Square Stacklets on this last one, finishing it off with some stitching and Clear Drip Drops. Oh and the sentiment! This comes from the new Mini Strips – Floral stamp. Love the Simple Strips and Mini Strips! I’m always so happy to see a new one!

Next up, I am beyond excited that there are some new Roll With It Flowers in the TE catalog! I had the first two flowers and I have been eagerly wanting to use them, but never got around to it (story of my life!). But now, there are two more! Roll With It Flowers 3 & 4 (sold seperately). So I got them all out and Rolled with it. 🙂

I really enjoy the TE Wool Felt, so I was excited and ready to use it for these flowers. My two new favorite colors I used here Dark Berry & Peacock–along with Butterscotch, Raspberry Jam and Tangerine! I rolled them pretty tightly, but if you were doing a larger scale project, you can have much larger flowers easy by not rolling them as tight. Gah–so fun!

These sweet flowers are adhered to this card base that is stamped in Avocado (!) with the new Hold My Blooms set–how cute are these leaves? I love this whimsy look–so sweet! Don’t forget the Always Ready Fast Grab Tacky Glue and alllllllllllllll the TE Wool Felts if you are ordering these Roll With it Flowers today. Ok, maybe not all of the felts, but several.
