Honey Bee Stamps: Season to Sparkle Hop!

Hello and welcome to my stop on the Season to Sparkle Honey Bee Stamps Blog Hop day! It’s a day of fun over at Honey Bee Stamps. If you haven’t seen all the new release goodies, you absolutely should see all the NEW Season to Sparkle HERE right now.

If you are here at my stop, and want to start from the beginning, head over to the Honey Bee Stamps blog HERE to start there. 🙂

First up, I am sharing the Merry Lights stamp set and the coordinating die, Merry Lights Honey Cuts HERE.

I keep saying it, but I love holiday lights!! So this is right up my alley! The best little trick is that there are little tiny stamps to fill in the light bulbs quickly from your ink pads. No need to pull out a bunch of markers! Stamp! Done! I die cut the Scalloped A2 Card Frames and then die cut it again to get it more to the size I needed. I scored the panel and added some stitching. Then, I added a little sparkle with some old school Stickles to polish it all off.

I think it turned out pretty festive in the end! 🙂

Next up, I have this little number using Honey Bee Stamps new Home Sweet Home HERE. There is also a coordinating die HERE called Home Sweet Home Honey Cuts.

How sweet is this? I love the homey sweet feel with the new patterned paper too–Holiday Traditions. You can find that one HERE. The new paper pads are soooooo great! 🙂

I didn’t even use my FAVORITE Confetti Bits: Bokeh Lights ❤ What?! haaaa! 🙂

Here’s a recap of all the new Honey Bee goodies I used and links to each:

Next up on the hop is: Galina Filippenko … head over HERE where the fun is sure to continue on her blog!

You want to be sure to hit all the stops, so again, you can start the hop HERE. There is a Honey Bee Stamps gift card giveaway of $30 each day of the hop! So comment along the hop for your chance to win!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Happy Hopping!

Spellbinders Dies of the Month: October!

Happy Monday! I’m here today to share a couple cards I made with Spellbinders Large and Small Dies of the Month Clubs!

You can hop over to the Spellbinders website to check out all the information on Small Dies of the Month HERE and you can check out the Large Dies of the Month HERE.

This Spellbinders Small Die of the Month is Home for the Holidays and you can find it HERE.

Isn’t she darling with her little gift to give?! So sweet! What a great way to use alllllll those patterned papers you have too! This sentiment “Warm Wishes” is from Honey Bee Stamps called Fall. 😉

For this card, I simply masked off an area to blend on some ink, added some score lines, splatters and stitching. So many little details on her to make her look sweet and ready for the holidays OR if you just change her patterned dress, she can be for ANY season! Love that! 🙂

Next up, I have the Spellbinders Large Die of the Month! I thought it would be nice to take a left turn from Christmas and just make a Thank You card. The die cuts are so plentiful, you could cut a bunch all at once and create a pile of these! This one is called Fall Flora and you can find it HERE.

For this card, I just measured a window and cut it out with my craft knife and then added some stitching before adhering it all with foam tape. I went back in and arranged the sentiment and flowers over a scored panel to finish it all off. (Unfortunately, I am now dealing with the Autumn light, so the scored lines are not showing up in these photos, but I promise they are there! 🙂 )

Again, you could change up the colors on this and make it for Autumn or the Holidays or anything! So many options with the plethora of dies you get in this set! The Large Die of the Month is just that: LARGE! This one has (17) dies in it! 🙂

Well, I think that is all from me today! Thanks for stopping by to check out my cards using Spellbinders Small Die of the Month Club HERE and Large Die of the Month Club HERE. Check it out and join in the fun!

If you’re interested in following me along on Instagram I’m here @jilldhawkins and of course, on my blog here at FastestTurtle.wordpress.com!

Cheer and Joy! NEW Release from Simon Says Stamp!

There is a New Release available over at Simon Says Stamp HERE— It’s called Cheer and Joy! I had fun using the new Outline Christmas Bulbs HERE! I have said it before and I’ll say it again, the Christmas bulb is about my favorite holiday season “icon”, if you will. ❤ ! So glad SSS was intuitive on this when sending me this awesome stamp! 😉

You can shop the whole new release Cheer and Joy release HERE!

I stamped the whole panel and watercolored it in with Zig Markers. Oh how I love some rainbow colors all together! 🙂

If I made this again, I’d adhere the panel use foam tape to give it some oomph, but I adhered it down so good, it was NOT coming off for me to redo it! Sometimes late at night, I’m not firing on all cylinders!  ha!

Oh and the sentiment is from the recently released Paper Smooches Stamptember set! And the confetti sequins are from Honey Bee Stamps called Bokeh Lights! Love them!

I love to send handmade thank you notes for the holiday and this one will be fun to have on hand and ready to roll!

Again this new stamp from SSS: Outline Christmas Bulbs–So FUN! The whole Cheer and Joy release can be found HERE.

Thanks to Simon Says Stamp for having me along to celebrate this fun NEW holiday release!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend ahead!

Simple Cards with Spellbinders!

Happy Day to you! I’m here today to share a few cards I made with Spellbinders Large Dies of the Month Club!

**ETA: There is a BIG SALE on all these goodies below HERE! Check it out!! Past Spellbinders Club Kits with sale prices–wow!

You can hop over to the Spellbinders website to check out the sale on these that starts October 15th HERE–and all the other goodies! What a great deal!

These first cards I made using the Bonjour set. I thought it would be great to make a set of them fairly simply, which is super easy to do with this bold butterfly!

These great sentiments are from Paper Smooches! I love this whole set!

For this one, I wanted to step it up a bit and I piece all these cardstock pieces back into this butterfly I thought it turned out fun and it’s quite colorful to boot!

The yellow one might be my favorite 🙂

I think this would be a great gift to give or receive, right? I might end up just mailing them all out individually though! Ha!  🙂

Next up, I have these sweet little thank you cards. I ALWAYS need these! For these, I used the Pop Up Garden Large Die of the Month and I used the simple flower. I thought they are cute enough to hold their own on a card, so I ran with that. But this set has some fun pop up dies in it. 🙂

These two sentiments are from Avery Elle–I went into the archives and pulled them out because while they are older, they are still good!

This first card above, I actually made with the few flowers I had left over. I might like this one the best! Ha! Funny how that happens.

I thank you for stopping by to check out my cards today. Be sure to follow me along on Instagram @jilldhawkins and of course, on my blog here at FastestTurtle.wordpress.com!

Hope you have a great weekend and check out the sale HERE starting on October 15th!!

Thanks for stopping by! 🙂

Take care–Jill 🙂

Today, I’m sharing a card showing off the new Stackers Stencil! You can make a rainbow!!! As you can see here, because I essentially make four little ones!! 🙂 This stencil is FULL of things to stencil on your projects–so so fun! 🙂
I used the previously release Monster Dies and Flaunters Dies to complete this card with the fun background!  🙂
For making this project, I just masked off the parts of the stencil I didn’t want to ink and blended on inks with my favorite blender brushes. I use post-it notes generally to just mask things off, quick and easy!
I feel like I have barely scratched the surface with this stencil!! 🙂 I hope to be back again soon to show more projects with it! 🙂

Paper Smooches: Stackers Stencil. (This will be available tomorrow.)

Previously released links: Monster Dies and Flaunters Dies.

I’m looking forward to sharing all the October goodness in the coming weeks!!

Next up, be sure to visit Karin–Karin never fails to delight! 🙂

Taylored Expressions: October Release!

Welcome to Release Day for Taylored Expressions October Release! All the new products are available over at Taylored Expressions now! Hooray!

My first card today is one of my definite favorite cards of this release. Which makes me laugh because in the end, it is so simple! But I ❤ that! This features the new Fluffy Friends stamp set. How cute is this little critter? And his friends in the set: Gah!!  🙂

I simply stamped, colored with Copics and die cut him out. Adding him to an embossed panel with embossed sentiment and stitching. The sentiment is from the new Fluffy FriendsHoliday too!

Just so cute! 🙂

Next up, I have my favorite iconic “thing” for the holidays: Christmas Lights! This background stamp is called Bright Lights Background. This includes a new sentient from the Handlettered Holiday 2 set and coordinating die. 😉

This is awesome because you don’t color in the lights (Unless you want to, of course.) You just stamp the little stamp fillers in to fill the lights from your ink pads! SOOO fast! I added a little darker ink on the sides after for effect.  🙂

And this sentiment rocks from the Handlettered Christmas 2 set, all die cut out!

You can find all my supplies and links to the Taylored Expressions Shop below.
