Taylored Expressions Sneak Peeks! Day 1

Hello! Are you ready for Taylored Expressions new August Release?!  Let’s get this party started!

This first card features the new Foliage Background, Shiplap Background, and Handlettered Sentiments & Dies. When I first saw this background, I thought it was lovely, but after I stamped it, it jumped to a favorite! ❤ I used two different greens and added a little flower from the new Fresh Picked Florals.

These sentiments though: ❤ ❤ ❤ –and the fact that you can die cut them out and add them to a card like this–just awesome! 🙂 For the Shiplap Background, I lightened the gray ink by stamping off once before stamping on my cardstock. It worked perfectly to create a slight backdrop here.

Gah! Just love how this turned out in the end. Anyone else ever surprised after you finish something? ha!! 🙂 (I’m just going to tell you now, you NEED the Shiplap Background.  😉 )

Next up, I have another lovely floral card using the new Fresh Picked Florals.

Honestly, I am not typically a floral person, but good gracious! These are lovely how they layer aren’t they?! Just love how this ink color combo turned out too! Bright and fresh!  AND I used purple! whooooop!! 😉

The little banner at the top is from the new Simply Smitten set. It worked perfectly for this card along with another sentiment from the new Handlettered Sentiments and dies! I’m a big fan! 🙂

I love the Petite Scalloped dies for both of these too! 🙂

You can find all my supplies and links to the Taylored Expressions Shop below.

Tropical Vibes with Concord & 9th!

Happy Friday! Today I’m sharing my last post as a Concord & 9th Guest Designer for July and their Feature Friday series–it went too fast! Be sure to check out all the projects on the Concord & 9th Blog HERE too! 🙂

Today we are sharing projects made with the Tropical Vibes Bundle! This one has allllllll the Good Summer Vibes, that’s for sure!

I created the background for this card using the Tropical Vibes Turnabout stamp and then die cut out all the pieces from the Tropical Vibes dies.

This next card has the die cut again from the Tropical Vibes dies, but also features the Joyful Tile Bundle–specifically the  Joyful Dies. This is the “oh” turned upside down to create “yo”! I still laugh at this one because that just cracks me up! Yo, Let’s Celebrate! 🙂

I used paper strips and die cut the word from it. Then I added the sentiment from the Joyful Tiles. Love it! 🙂

This background below is definitely one of my favorites. Part of that is because this is not a set of colors I’d normally pull to work together, and they totally do!! So that happy surprise is fun in itself.

This sentiment is from the Tropical Vibes Turnabout. Just so happy with how it turned out overall. Simply delightful!

Lastly, I thought I”d share a card I made using the Tropical Vibes Turnabout with one my all time favorite Concord & 9th products–Kind Card Frame and the Kindhearted Stamp set. (I think these are retired now…?)

I thought the blues were fun and a little unexpected!

You can find the whole lot of new Concord & 9th products HERE. And if you’re a bundle person, get it all HERE.

I hope you have been inspired to send some tropical vibes!! Please be sure to check out the post on Concord & 9th’s Blog today to see both Carrie and Karen’s projects too! Sure to be fun too!

Sending Summer Smiles!

Hope you are enjoying your summer! Today I’m here to share a sweet little rainbow using The Stamp Market’s Dotted Rainbow! I stitched this one up and have it ready to send 🙂 ! I have a “few” more to finish. 😉

I thought it would be fun to attempt to do this stitching pattern on the rainbow and it turned out! Fun to try something different and have it work! ❤

For mounting this to the card base, I used X-press It Foam Mounting Squares. Generally, I’m a foam tape person, but these are awesome to get in the nooks and crannies of a rainbow! 🙂 And I like them because the backing peels off easy! That’s a big deal to me to not fight with the backing paper. ha!

You can link to the Stamp Market Dotted Rainbow (for stitching) HERE. The sentiment is from a small set that I think was included with an order. 🙂

Thanks for stopping by! Sending Summer Smiles! 🙂

Take care– Jill 🙂

Joyful! Concord & 9th Fun!

Happy Friday! Today I’m sharing my third post as a Concord & 9th Guest Designer for July and their Feature Friday series! Be sure to check out Karen & Carrie’s projects on the Concord & 9th Blog HERE too! 🙂

All my cards today feature the new Joyful Tile Bundle. One of my favorite things is a great word die, and this more than fits the bill! 🙂

Rainbow all the things! This one turned out fun! First I stamped the word “enjoy”, inking it with several colored inks and then I die cut it with the coordinating dies. I also cut the words out in fun foam and adhered them on the back of the stamped word. I stamped the graphic stamp twice, just shifting the angle to create sort of a Spirograph look. So fun! To finish it off, I added a little stitching and a few confetti sequins. I want to make more of these, of course! Ha! 🙂

Next up, I made a fun holiday card–I love holiday cards with non-traditional colors! The word JOY is perfection!

I made the background with the new Joyful Tiles Turnabout Stencil pack. These stencils are pretty genius! It’s so fast to create a background with them–1, 2, 3….I use my MISTI to hold it in place and for the sharp corner.

Next up, I have another Holiday card, using a more traditional color palate. Again, I used the Joyful Tiles Turnabout Stencil pack, just trying to keep two rotations slightly lighter. When I was done with that, I used one of my first Concord & 9th sets, O Christmas Tree, to put snowflakes in the centers.

I used the sentiment stamp from the Tropical Vibes Turnabout and the word Joy again from Joyful Tile Bundle. I scored the card base for some added texture and stitched it all down. I’m loving the fact I have two holiday cards already made! It’s July! Whooooooot!!

My last card is a fun combo of the Joyful Tile Bundle and the Tropical Vibes Turnabout. I wasn’t sure what colors I wanted to use, but I just got started and ended up loving the way it came together! 🙂

I stamped the word enjoy with two different colored inks, creating an ombre look in the end. I was amazed it turned out, not gonna lie. 😉 I adhered it to the turnabout base using fun foam. I stamped the sentiment and trimmed it out, adding it with foam adhesive.

So, I have two extremes here: A summer tropical vibe and a holiday/Christmas vibe! 🙂 It’s fun to use your goodies in so many different ways though, isn’t it?! 🙂

You can find the whole lot of new Concord & 9th products HERE. And if you’re a bundle person, get it all HERE.

I hope you have been inspired to stretch your supplies to cover different occasions! Please be sure to check out the post on Concord & 9th’s Blog today to see both Carrie and Karen’s projects too! They have wow’d me all month!

Believe in You! NEW Release from SSS!

There is a New Release available over at Simon Says Stamp HERE— It’s called Believe in You! I had fun using the new Greetings Mix 1. So. Many. Sentiments.

A good sentiment is gold to me, and a good sentiment set, well, multiply gold by a lot, and that’s this set. Haaaa! 😉

So I made a few cards, trying to use simple design elements, focusing more on the sentiments. It’s fun to keep it simple and get enjoyable results. 🙂

This is the inside…Cloudy then rainbows. 🙂 This is Simon Says Stamp Clouds for Days stencil.

Here’s a photo of the whole card:

Next up, is this sweet little ditty–I just love stripes. FOREVER. 🙂

Scraps, stitching and a good sentiment. Done. 🙂

This set is FULL of sentiments! FULL! It’s big!

Next up, is a blended card:

The sentiment is so bold, I thought this was good to go with some scoring and stitching! Bonus: Easily mailing friendly! 🙂

Lastly, I just wanted to try a quick Thank You card! This is one of the card types I use most often, so I wanted to try and make something quick and simple. I used two different blue inks and one red. It’s hard to see the differentiation of blues in this photo, but it’s there in person. 🙂

This one is perfect for my son to be able to write out and send. 🙂

I hope you have found some clean and simple inspiration here today! It seems like the summery thing to do–keep it simple! 🙂 Thanks to Simon Says Stamp for having me along to celebrate this fun NEW release!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend ahead!

Take care–Jill
