For my card today, I used the super-fun-soon-to-be-released Snowman Card Die!!

I know this is confusing because it is the Snowman Card Die and this is clearly a penguin, but somehow that was the first thing I made! πŸ™‚ I think the carrot nose got stuck under something and the rest is history. πŸ™‚ I think it’s fun to see other things dies can do too.

Eeeeeeep! Isn’t he super cute?! I have snowman bits all over my desk, so I will be sharing an actual snowman next month as well. πŸ˜‰

Also, for this card, I used the soon to be released All Year Cheer for this simple sentiment. This forthcoming set is one of those sets you can use all year round! I also used the previously released Santa Card dies for his hat, and the Sweets Dies for his pom-pom! Yup, that cupcake worked swimmingly! πŸ˜‰

I overhung his hat and scarf, but the card is slightly narrow overall, so this should easily fit into an envelope I have on hand. More likely however, this will be on a package delivery for the Holidays!

Next stop on our Paper Smooches Pep Rally Hop:  Karin Akesdotter! πŸ™‚ Karin’s projects are to never be missed! ❀

Thanks for stopping in today! Be sure to hop and leave comments for a chance to win a Paper Smooches prize!! I thank you in advance because you all have the nicest things to say! ❀

All the new goodies will be releasing November 30th–that’s THIS THURSDAY! Be ready!

Take care- Jill πŸ™‚

Paradise Found Release Blog Hop, Day 2!

Hello! Welcome to my stop on this fun Blog Hop to celebrate Catherine Pooler’s new Spa Ink Release and Paradise Found products!!

I could not enjoy the new inks more! My favorite might be the Green Tea! And I did NOT see that coming! Haaaa! πŸ™‚

How about some cards? Yes- Onward!

I stamped the new Plaid Background with the Sauna Ink and then added some black lines with a fine black pen. I like how it pulled some of the black into the background. I then cut the scalloped panel (gulp!) and stitched it on to my card base before adhering the white embossed sentiment. I die cut the Best die a couple of times and layered that up, adhering that along with a tiny heart for the Tags, etc. Dies (Counting Blessing SOA Collection).

This is one of those cards that grew on me over time. At first I almost binned it, but I’m glad it stuck it out because it is now a fave! πŸ™‚

My next card uses the Birds of a Feather stamp set and the new Birds of a Feather Die.

How awesome are these new ink colors?! ❀ them! They are: Daydream, Mandarin Spice and Green Tea. (Watch out Tutti Frutti, there’s a new orange in town πŸ™‚ )

For this, I inked up the large feather from the Birds of a Feather set, and stamped them all on white cardstock. I die cut them all out with the new die and gave them a slight score line to fold along before stitching and pinching them upward. I scored the card panel and adhered all to my card base. Fun!

This next card I’m sharing today, uses the new Winter Wonderland stamp set. The little critters on this set are very cute and there are lots of little detail stamps that help make a complete scene easily.

I stamped the trees in my new a fore mentioned fave, Green Tea. The red elements are stamped in Peppermint Scrub and the deer is stamped in Icing on the Cake. Oh, and the snowflakes are stamped in second generation of Black Jack. Catherine’s inks work awesome for that technique– which is fabulous if you’d like just a lighter version of a color.

It’s such a cozy little scene!

Next up, a card featuring the new Small Doily die and stamps from the Medallion Mix-Up Stamp set. Again, I used the new Green Tea color for tag. πŸ™‚ The tag and the hearts are from the previous Counting Blessings SOA Collection–the Tags, etc. Dies.

This card was very tricky to photograph at a good angle. I also didn’t predict that challenge–ha! But in person, it looks very delicate and lovely cut from vellum and folded up to create a flower type element. This card is going to be for my Grandmother on her 94th Birthday next week!  ❀

I again scored the card panel and stitched everything on to the card base after adding some twine to the tag. This card turned out so lovely! I can’t wait to give it to my Grannie. πŸ™‚

I hope you have enjoyed my stop along this hop! I ended up having several cards because once I started creating, they just kept coming! And I still have two more to share in the future!

Essentials by Ellen Blog Hop! :)

I am SO excited to share a couple of cards I made for the new Essentials by Ellen Release! What an awesomely fun opportunity to help celebrate another fabulous release! Hooray! Let’s check out some cards! πŸ™‚

This first card is made with the newΒ Abstract Paint Strokes by Julie Ebersole AND this new sentiment from Totally Random Sayings Vol. 1 by Julie Ebersole. That Julie!! Good gravy–always knocking it out of the park! πŸ™‚

How fun is this?! I stamped the one dotty dash stamp repeatedly with a bunch of different inks.Β  This went remarkably quick, once I figured out what I wanted to do! πŸ™‚ It almost looks like one full background stamp, doesn’t it? Love a rainbow! πŸ™‚

To finish off this card, I just white heat embossed the sentiment, added some Pretty Pink Posh sequins, and a few stitched lines. πŸ™‚

The second card I made to celebrate, uses the sameΒ Abstract Paint Strokes set. I thought it would be fun to make some mushrooms! That was the first thing I thought of when I saw these round stamps. πŸ™‚

I finished this card off with some enamel dots and some stitches. I enjoy this card’s simplicity and pops of yellow. πŸ™‚ If I made it again, I’d do some extra shadow stamping on the ‘shrooms to give them a little more gusto. Stamp and learn, huh? πŸ˜‰

Here’s a better look at these sets. You can click on them to go directly to Ellen Hutson’sΒ website.

Sending envelopes full of gratitude to everyone at Ellen Hutson for having me along again!! This is an awesome release with a crazy amount of possibilities! I sure love that, and have greatly enjoyed working with all these new goodies! πŸ™‚

I posted a couple more New Release cards on my blog Sunday. You can find that post HERE.

Are you ready for my cards?! I am! I really enjoyed playing with this collection! πŸ™‚

Oh my word! THIS LEAF! ❀ ! For this card, I used several of the products in the box. The tag and scalloped panel are from the Tag, Etc. Dies. I die cut the Thankful die a few times and layered it up for some pop! The leaf is cut using the Falling Leaf dies. (I adhered them, and then stitched them like crazy! πŸ˜‰ ) I used the Marching Leaves stencil on the background. (This stencil is definitely one of my favorite things in this box– ❀ !!!!)

I love this color combo that shook out during the process! πŸ˜‰

Next up, is a celebration card showing the versatility of this collection! I think this color combo is so festive! ALL Catherine Pooler’s bold color inks are a stamper’s dream! Very inky, but not TOO inky. You know what I mean? πŸ˜‰ Those can be found HERE.

Stamp of Approval Blog Hop!

Happy Monday!! Today I have the fun opportunity to participate along with The Stamp of Approval Naturally Inspired Collection Blog Hop! What fun I’ve had working with this party in a box, delivered to my door! The Stamp of Approval Collection is an exclusive collection. These individual products were designed just for this collection box. Each product is a brand new design, and will not be available again from Catherine Pooler Designs for many months. Make sure you subscribe to the wait list to get first notice of the sales link…these collections sell out quickly! You can get on the waitlist here: WWW.CPSTAMPOFAPPROVAL.COM

The question for this hop is: What keeps you naturally inspired? My answer is pretty simple: COLOR! I love to mix up different and random color combinations. I find combinations of color randomly in catalogs, stores, advertisements, fashion, home decor, paper goods, in my scrap discard pile (most used source), etc. IΒ  find that the most unexpected color combinations are often the ones I like best. Of course, I also always trust a good rainbow color combo too, as I did below today! πŸ™‚ The rainbow will never fail us! πŸ™‚

On with the party! I mean, cards! πŸ˜‰

For these cards, I used the following from this collection: Wild Garden Stamp Set, Simply the Best Stamp Set, and the Best die. I also used all Catherine Pooler bold color inks. Those can be found HERE.

How festive is this Wild Garden stamp set?! It has Spring and Summer written all over it! I shocked and amazed myself that I had the forethought to create two of these cards (altering the sentiment) at the same time! I think that is a huge perk of this collection: The sentiments can be changed up so easily to make dozens of sayings! πŸ™‚

You’re the Best! I really ❀ the font style of this *best* die. It’s pretty awesome.

I die cut the word a few times and layered them up for pow! I then adhered the other heat embossed sentiments with foam adhesive.

I love all these ink colors together! ❀  The Catherine Pooler inks are all juicy and stamp well, with very little little effort. A huge win in my book. My favorite color is Tutti Frutti. It’s an awesome orange-red and it’s called Tutti Frutti for cryin’ out. πŸ™‚

I thought I’d share another rainbow inspired card, this time with more of a graphic take:

These sentiment stamps ROCK! Sending You Laughter! Perfect! πŸ™‚ And I know exactly who I am sending this one too! I used the same Catherine Pooler bold ink colors.

For this card, I again used the Simply the Best Stamp Set as well as the Birds of a Feather Stamp Set. This crosshatch stamp is great for stamp kissing techniques too!

Be sure to leave comments along the way for the BLOG HOP PRIZE!

One winner will be chosen at random from each day’s comments and announced on June 9 on Catherine Pooler’s blog. The winners will win their box and if they already bought it, they will be issued a Gift Certificate worth $100 towards a future purchase.

Lil’ Inker Designs Mini Release Blog Hop

Hey Hey! Welcome to my stop along this fun Lil’ Inker Designs Mini Release Blog Hop! There are prizes being offered for comments left along the entire blog hop! So be sure to drop everyone some ❀ along the way for more chances to win. Details and the full blog list can be found on the Lil’ Inker Blog HERE.

I was fortunate to receive this great Lil’ Inker stamp while on an awesome crafty retreat earlier this month. It is such a beautiful sentiment, and I love the way it owns a card! Therefore, I decided to just give it a pretty rainbow backdrop and just let it shine. Literally. Because I heat embossed it. πŸ˜‰

Gah! How awesome is that stamp? Geesh! ❀ I keep thinking this would look sweet in a frame. πŸ™‚ Might have to do that!

For the background, I masked off stripes and blended Distress Inks on, one by one. I love how vibrant they turned out. I was thinking I’d add a few spatters to this, but in the end, I wanted to maintain the crisp feel that resulted. It’s a pretty simple technique, but it gives a POW, and it almost looks like patterned paper. What do you think?

Here’s are the two stamps, that along with a few others, are being released today:

The next stop on the hop is the always creating Heather Hoffman! I’m sure Heather’s project will be fantastic! Be sure to hop on–sure to be amazing projects to see! πŸ™‚

If you get lost along the way, be sure to head back to the Lil’ Inker blog and start from the beginning. You can get to the LID Blog HERE.

Speaking of kindness, thank you so very much to Laura, for sharing these super sweet stamps and for including us in the fun today!! ❀

Thanks for stopping by! Spread kindness!
