One of a Kind

Happy Monday! ❀

I thought I’d pop in and share the card I made for my son this week. He has 12 days left of kindergarten ( 😦 TOO FAST!), and you’d think it was more like 100 days. LOL πŸ™‚ He’s ready to bust out for SURE!

You should also know that he adores stuffies, his favorite color has always been orange, and these claw games memorize him! Of course, we don’t play them, so this is the next best thing. πŸ™‚ Well, in my mind anyway! Bwwwhaaahaa!

This new set from Lawn Fawn, You’re Claw-some, was a must have here. For all the reasons stated above! πŸ™‚ It is just tooooo cute!

I used my Zig Clean Color markers to watercolor this on Bristol paper. The patterned paper was a bonus I received in one of my Lawn Fawn packages (Thank you, LF!). The background is stamped repeatedly with the stars/hearts from this set. I just randomly colored in a few my Copics, to add a little interest. I finished it off with some stitching and Wink of Stella sparkle.

Also, I am finally getting around to entering the fun over at Lawn Fawnatics! This is for this Challenge #5 HERE! Play along, there is lots of time left!

So spunky and cute! I chose to use the orange, blue, and a touch of green & red. I actually colored the unicorn pink/purple that goes with this set, but he was left off this card. Likely to hop on another one soon!

Have a great week!

Some Love Today!

Popping in super quick today to share a little (Lawn Fawn) love!

hawkins_jill_octopi_wm

I used Lawn Fawn’s little Octopi My Heart set. Awwwww! ❀

hawkins_jill_octopi_00_wm

Such little cuties! I colored these with Copic markers (after stamping on the wrong card stock again *smacks forehead*). After that, I added a little Wink of Stella, which never shows in the photograph. I then finished it off with some googley eyes, of course! πŸ˜‰

The watercolored circle die is from My Favorite Things and the background stencil (rubbed with Distress Ink & white pigment ink) is from Studio Calico! πŸ™‚

Have a great weekend–Thanks for stopping by!

Let it Snow!

Happy Weekend! I thought I’d ink up some cute Lawn Fawn and join in the current Lawnscaping Challenge! Tags! I ❀ them!

hawkins_jill_letitsnow_wmPlease excuse the mystical/magical photograph above. Haaaa! I was tooling around with filters the other day, and saved this over my original photograph.

I kept these very simple and straight forward. Just stamping, watercoloring with Zig markers, and die cutting. I don’t often have the matching dies for stamps, but when I do, I like to use them. I still think it’s so cool to cut out the exact image, and my son likes to make them into “stickers”. πŸ™‚

I’m joining in the current Lawnscaping Challenge #143, Let it Snow! So perfectly fitting is my sentiment, Let it snow! This is Lawn Fawn’s Snow Cool set and from the Merry Christmouse set.

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your weekend! We are coincidentally expecting SNOW! πŸ˜‰

Pi Delivery! :)

I think I have a punny problem? Haaaaa! πŸ™‚

hawkins_jill_pi multi_00_wmLawn Fawn stamps are puntastically pun for punage. So I cannot (obviously) resist. Plus, with their Alpha sets, it’s so easy to put everything together. (Well, this card took me a couple of days, because time is not my friend, but that is neither here nor there. LOL πŸ™‚ )

hawkins_jill_pi multi_wmI used Lawn Fawn’s new stamp sets: Cutie Pie and Home for the Holidays. πŸ˜‰ I used Harold’s ABCs for the sentiment once again. That set can’t be beat! πŸ™‚ Oh wait, there’s a pun waiting to happen in there….beat|beet! LOL! πŸ™‚

I’m also excited I got to play along with the current Color Throwdown Challenge #408! Check that out HERE! (I combined the Red and Yellow to make the Orange. Shhhh) πŸ™‚

(The stitched Rectangle die is from My Favorite Things. Blueprints!! πŸ™‚ )

Thanks for stopping by–hope your day is full of pun! Seriously, I canNOT turn it off. πŸ˜‰

Oh [ginger]SNAP!

So while I was making THIS CARD the other night, this idea (below) percolated. There I was, last night, making it. I couldn’t resist! Sometimes I have to get these things out of my head! Anyone tired of the puns yet? NEVER! πŸ™‚

hawkins_jill_ginger snapped_00_wmI used Lawn Fawn’s Rooting for You stamp set. πŸ˜‰ I also used a face from the Donut Worry set again.

hawkins_jill_ginger snapped_wmI scored the card over and over to fill in the “white space”, and I LOVE how that turned out! I have always been a fan of scoring cards, but I don’t think I’ve ever done this much before? Anyway, I’ll likely be doing it again. Adds so much so simply! πŸ™‚

I stamped Harold’s ABCs for the sentiments and used A Birdie Told Me die cuts for the speech bubbles.

(The stitched Rectangle die is from My Favorite Things. Blueprints!! πŸ™‚ )

The current Lawnscaping Challenge is Punny!! So maybe I have it out of my system now? Doubtful. Vegetables reek puns! Someday, we’ll meet again. πŸ™‚ Haaaa!

Check out all the fun HERE!

Thanks for stopping by! πŸ˜‰

Grrrrr…Steamed Vegetables! :)

Puntastic! This card makes me laugh! Who doesn’t love and avoid “steamed veges”? Haaaaa! πŸ™‚

I used Lawn Fawn’s Rooting for You stamp set. πŸ˜‰

hawkins_jill_steamed2_wmI also used faces from the Milk and Cookies set and the Donut Worry set. I needed *steamed* faces. Haaaaa! πŸ™‚

hawkins_jill_steamed2_00_wmI actually thought to make TWO cards at once this time, hence, here is the second. The only difference is the stitching. I couldn’t decide. Not much of a difference, but since I was doing the photos, I took both. πŸ™‚

hawkins_jill_steamed1_wmI used Harold’s ABCs for the sentiment. I cannot tell you how long these cards took me to make! πŸ™‚ I’m not even sure why they took sooo long. *rolls eyes at self*. Still laughing though–SO worth it. πŸ™‚

hawkins_jill_steamed1_00_wmAlso, I used the arrow from the Wish You Were Here die set! Perfecto!

(The stitched Rectangle die is from My Favorite Things. Blueprints!! πŸ™‚ )

The current Lawnscaping Challenge is Punny!! I absolutely HAD to get in on that! πŸ™‚ So glad I made it! Punny gets me every time. πŸ™‚Β  Check out all the fun HERE!

Thanks for stopping by! πŸ˜‰
