A Cute Card and SUPER FUN News!

It’s a new week and a New Year and I think I finally got some things crossed off my list today? It’s been nutty around here, to say the least! πŸ™‚

I’m sharing a card I made today with the cuties from Neat & Tangled’s Lumberjack Love set. πŸ™‚ I colored them for the last Daily Marker 30 challenge and last night they stumbled back onto my desk–I figured it was a sign I should make this card. ❀

I colored them with Copics and die cut them out, adding them to a simple card base that I scored and stitched. My fave! ❀ Plus, I mean, pun. Enough said. πŸ˜‰

I’m thinking I will save this one for my husband on Valentine’s Day…shhhhhhh πŸ™‚

Saving the most exciting part for last! I’m sharing the exciting news that I am joining the Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine’s 2019 Creative Team!!!

Oh my heavens!! I cannot wait til all their talent rubs off on me!! πŸ™‚ How fortunate I am to have this amazing opportunity?! I am truly still flabbergasted to join these talented ladies and the SCT Publishing and Editorial team, while they all make magic with paper, words, and fantastic photography!Β  Elated beyond words that can express my joy!!!! And excited to share the news here–yay! Thank you so very much SCT!! ❀ ❀

I hope you all will follow along over there –especially by checking out the printed issues that can be mailed to you with a subscription or you can find them at Barnes and Noble too! You can follow the SCT Blog HERE and check out the latest issue HERE as well.

It was truly a highlight of 2018 for me to have a handful of my cards in their issues, and now here I am, part of the Creative Team! eeeeeeeeeep!

Thank you all for *listening* to my excitement and have a great week! ❀

See you Later, Alligator!

Hope you had a great weekend! Ours was great here, but of course, too fast as always. πŸ˜‰

I thought I’d pop in and share these cute little Neat & Tangled critters I colored with Copic Markers. The best part is, they made it onto CARDS already!! πŸ™‚

This card is made with Neat & Tangled’s new Later Alligator and coordinating Dies. I also used N&T’s previously released Polygon Stencil with some Distress Oxide inks. πŸ™‚ I cannot handle the cuteness of that tiny little frog! My son is going to love getting this one! πŸ™‚

Next up, I used the cute little fox, So Foxy! Coordinating dies HERE.

I colored him gray with Copics and added him on top of some Lawn Fawn Really Rainbow Paper Pad paper. Gah, cutest little fox! ❀

I also used Neenah white cardstock, as always, for both! πŸ™‚

If you haven’t seen it, Neat & Tangled is hosting another Throwdown: Crafting with Compassion.

There could not be a better idea in my mind, so I wanted to join in on it. I also thought it completely worthy to purchase this Celebrate You stamp set, as all the proceeds are “being donated to the Burning Limb Foundation to help patients at the Neurologic Relief Center receive care for Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS).” You can find all the info HERE.

A charity that matters to me is the American Cancer Society. Not only is it a cause close to my family’s heart, but is is a cause that my friend and her family help to raise money for every year. My friend and her family have run the Chicago Marathon seven years over, to raise money for the ACS in memory of her brother. This year, my friend is running the New York City Marathon for the American Cancer Society DetermiNATION Team. In the past, I have sold my cards to help raise just a little more money for her. πŸ™‚ She is a rockstar in my book! ❀

Help spread the word for a worthy cause close to you! Join in HERE. ❀

Wishing you all a wonderful week ahead! πŸ™‚

Good Vibes and Bunnies!

Greetings! Popping in today to share a couple of cards today. Good Vibes for the weekend! πŸ™‚

This sentiment stamp is from Neat & Tangled appropriately titled Good Vibes The background I made with Neat & Tangled’s On the Edge scallop stamp.

This next card, I colored everything with Copic markers just a tad. I borrowed this stamp from my friend Linda at our retreat last month and stamped it with Versafine on Bristol. (I clearly had prepped it to use Zig Clean Color Markers on–Ha!.) I thought I had used Copic friendly ink and paper, but I did not. Oooops! You can see a little nose or two smudged, but it could have been a lot worse! If I had this stamp, I would have just stamped it again, but I had to work with what I had. And then, I sent it to Linda, because it is the perfect card for her! (sans smudging, of course) πŸ™‚

These stamps are from Mama Elephant called The Bunny’s Hop. I just ❀ these cuties all bundled up together. Mama Elephant has a bunch of these bunches, and they are ALL adorable, of course. The sentiment is from another set Linda generously let me use called Tea with Friends by Mama Elephant. Super ❀ that sentiment! πŸ™‚

These cards are both postal already! I hope you mail your cards too! Speaking from experience, it isΒ  awesome to receive handmade cards (or store-bought!) in the mail. It can really brighten someone’s day so simply.

Thanks so much for stopping by again today! And thank you Linda for sharing your cute stamps and always being such a sweet friend.Β  πŸ™‚

Take care– Jill πŸ™‚
