Enjoy the Journey

Hooray for Friday! πŸ™‚

Today’s Paper Smooches card is a nod to Dad and SUMMER! πŸ˜‰

For this card panel, I cut several strips of red cardstock and adhered it all to a piece of copy paper, alternating strips of white cardstock along the way. (I don’t measure the strips width, I just eyeball it.) I trimmed all the edges to make it *square* and then die cut the Paper Smooches Sailboat into the center. I always hold my breath a little when I cut into something that took some time to lay up. Truth be told, it wouldn’t be tragic to recreate the panel, just time. πŸ™‚ I then die cut the Sailboat from different colored cardstocks and inlaid it all. I think this turned out fun! πŸ™‚I stamped the sentiment simply and trimmed it out, before adhering with foam adhesive and polishing off the whole thing with some simple stitching. A great card for Father’s Day this year!

Hey Chick!

Happy Friday, crafty peeps! πŸ™‚ I’m here to share this fun little Paper Smooches card that I made for a friend today. πŸ˜‰ It is the perfect card to send her. ❀️

I colored this cutie flamingo with Copic markers.  I reverse scored the card base and set it aside. For the background, I masked off a rectangle and blended on some Distress Oxide Inks. I used Fossilized Amber, Twisted Citron and Lucky Clover. I spattered on some black acrylic pain, added some stitching and complete. ❀

Paper Smooches:Β Baby Birds, Baby Birds Icons dies, Feathered Friends.

Free Hugs!

It’s the last day of school here!! I’m most excited about not packing any more lunches for a while! whoooohoooo! πŸ™‚ Ha!

Today, I’m popping in to share this sweet Paper Smooches card. πŸ˜‰ I just think this little cactus is so sweet! ❀

After stamping with Copic friendly ink, I die cut the little cactus out. After that, I colored the cactus with Copic markers. I die cut the flower frame and added that the card panel with some stitching and the sentiment. I adhered the cactus with foam. I added the cute little hearts with some Wink of Stella sparkle and some Glossy Accents on top of that.

This card ended up being so sweet to me, I had to give it to someone I love immediately. ❀

Love.

Hooray for a Holiday weekend here in the US! I hope you have some fantastic plans for the long weekend! ❀

I’m popping in to share this Paper Smooches card today. I thought this would be fitting to send this weekend, with its patriotic color scheme! I sooooo enjoyed making this card. I completely enjoy inlaying all those pieces, and then making it all work, like a puzzle.

I die cut everything and then had to die cut the die cut for the Postage frame…. put it all together, added some stitching and scoring and finished! πŸ™‚

For this card, I used some awesome Paper Smooches goodies: Postage Stamp, Love Word die, Triangle Dies.

Hop over and check out the Paper Smooches Blog for lots of inspiration and the current challenge!! It’s always fun to join in that and there is a fabulous PRIZE! Big fun! πŸ™‚
Happy weekend to all– never-ending gratitude to the men and women that served our country ❀ .

Freshly Made Sketches Guest, #338 :)

Happy Wednesday to you! Once again, I’m over contributing with the Freshly Made Sketches crew! this week on a brand new sketch! Be sure to check out their great challenge blog HERE for lots of inspiration!

And here is this week’s sketch:

And here’s my card–perfect for a teacher! πŸ™‚

I die cut all the bits from different colored cardstocks and also from cork paper. Love that texture it gives to the pencil tip. πŸ™‚Β  I added some reverse scoring to the panel and finished it all off with some stitching. ❀

This pencil is a super favorite of mine from PaperSmooches, appropriately called Pencil Dies. The sentiment is from a retired stamp set (Bosom Buddy), but I think this Many Thanks set can be used as substitute very smoothly, with lots of choices!

Crafty hugs to the FMS team, who has been so kind to me this month! Thank you, Ladies! πŸ™‚

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Take care– Jill πŸ™‚

Feel Better

Happy Friday!! Today I’m here sharing a Feel Better Soon Paper Smooches card. πŸ˜‰ I should have made one with just a dozen tissue boxes on it, because that is what I need right now. Allergies are out of this world awful. ugh.

Anywho–I think this card is fun and would definitely be smile worthy to receive in the mail! πŸ™‚

I dry embossed the background with the Cross stitch die. I colored the cute little pieces with Copic markers and added some googley eyes (of course πŸ˜‰ ). I then polished this off with the speech bubble, sentiment and some stitching.

All these fun stamps and dies are from Paper Smooches: Healthy Vibes, Healthy Vibes Icon Dies, Cross Stitch die, Word Bubble dies, and Kissables 1.

Check out the Paper Smooches Blog to follow all the fun–inspiration for your Paper Smooches stash! πŸ™‚

Freshly Made Sketches Guest Designer, Week 3! :)

Hello again! I’m happily enjoying my third week of contributing with the Freshly Made Sketches crew! You can check out their great challenge blog HERE.

And here is this week’s sketch:

And my card:

I took a little creative interpretation when creating the layout on this. πŸ˜‰! I stenciled the background and die cut that portion. I die cut all the other pieces and adhered them in order after stamping the sentiment and <3. I love this Paper Smooches city skyline! I added some patterned paper and stitching and voila! πŸ™‚

I thought this would be a fun hello card to pop into the mail!

Supplies I used: Paper Smooches Super 2 dies and All Year Cheer for the Hello. The stenciled background isΒ  Altenew’s Halftone and then paper isΒ  Ombre Stripes from Lil’ Inkers! πŸ™‚

Thanks so much for stopping by! And thanks to the FMS for being so awesome to me this month! πŸ™‚ Great fun!

Take care– Jill πŸ™‚
