Awesome

Happy early weekend!Β  Hope you have a great weekend planned or even a lack of plans. That’s always good too, right? πŸ™‚

I thought I’d pop in and share a card I made with the Paper Smooches Triangles Die. I could inlay this die for hours, with all sort of different colors and designs. Now that I have all these colors cut out of different cardstocks, I may just whip up a few more!

This Awesome word die is definitely a favorite PS die that gets used an awful lot around here. πŸ˜‰

I mailed this one out to an awesome crafty friend. πŸ™‚ I need more of these cards STAT!

I am whipping up lots of stuff for June, but hope to be back soon with a few other May posts. Tick-tock, it’s already the 19th! Wow.

Have a great weekend!

Yay!

Hey hey! Happy Friday! Happy Early Mother’s Day to everyone celebrating this weekend!

Today’s card is made with this fun new set from the Paper SmoochesΒ MAY release. For this card, I used the New Beginnings stamp set (that elephant ❀ !) and the New Beginnings Icons Dies!

I mean, goodness, he’s cute! πŸ™‚

For this card, I just masked off these rays/stripes and blended on some Distress Inks. I can’t recall for sure, but I’m guessing I used Carved Pumpkin and Spiced Marmalade? I colored this cutie elephant with Copic markers, and heat embossed this sentiment from the same stamp set. I adhered all the mortarboards and drew on tassels. I added some white spatters afterward to give it a celebratory feel–pow! I thought this one was fun to highlight your graduate!

Plus, I went to the University of Illinois for my undergrad degree, so I had to use the Orange and Blue. Go Illini! πŸ˜‰

Next up, I thought I’d share this sweet little card using the same stamp set.

I kept this one very simple with just some stamping, vellum, and stitching. I love these simple cards! πŸ™‚

Be sure you’re following the Paper Smooches blog, and please stop by here again! I’ll be back with more cards to share this month, and I”m hoping I get those posts written soon! πŸ™‚

Have a great weekend!

Take a Deep Breath

Happy Friday! I’m here to share a card using the NEWΒ Paper SmoochesΒ MAY 2017 release. For this card, I used the new Rose Frame Die and the new stamp set, New Beginnings 2!

This die: ❀ .

I die cut the whole Rose Frame die from several different colors of cardstock, and then pieced it all back together.

I just love how this makes such a clean card. This frame is awesome. When you receive this die, you just need to cut out the flower and boom, you have a frame die. Bonus! Get ready, because you are going to see this frame around these parts A LOT! πŸ™‚

I made another card with some of the scraps I had from the first:

Gah! These are so fun to make. I love die-cut inlay! It’s like putting a little crafty puzzle together. πŸ™‚ Afterward, I coated this in clear colorful Stickles. In person, it is a sparkly delight! πŸ™‚

I also used the new diecut, Mr. and Mrs. for this card. Kim makes the BEST handwritten dies! I love them ALL! This die can whip up a quick wedding/shower/anniversary card in no time! Not that I have ever made such cards with one foot out the door… πŸ˜‰

Be sure you following the Paper Smooches blog everyday, as the rest of the team has made amazing things you don’t want to miss! πŸ™‚

Have a great weekend!

Stand Tall!

Happy Friday!!

If you are looking for my post for the Paper Smooches May DT Hop that began yesterday, please scroll down, or click HERE.

I’m here today to share this perky little number, made with April’s release of awesomeness! This card has the Paper Smooches Pineapple 1 Die and the fun Pineapple Crush 2 stamp set! This release just makes me smile! ❀

I think this sentiment rocks, so I ROYGBIV’d it up, and stamped it repeatedly in a Stand Tall pattern. πŸ™‚

Of course, then I added some googley eyes. πŸ™‚ I just love the smiling pineapple!

Also, for the pattern on the pineapple, I used the Pineapple Crush stamp set.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend ahead! I’m hoping to get a lot done myself! Yikes!

Take care- Jill πŸ™‚

On with my project!

For this card, I used the soon to be released, New Beginnings stamp set! This set has an awesome variety of stamps to celebrate special and everyday occasions. πŸ™‚

I was so happy how this turned out! Honestly, I was afraid it was going to be a mess, but in the end, I ❀ it!! πŸ™‚ This rose is fantastic in its simplicity, for people like me.

I watercolored these with my Zig markers and added a “few” little pixels in after it was all dry.

Hope you are excited for the release too! I can’t wait to make some more things myself! πŸ™‚

Next stop: The way talented Karin Akesdotter! πŸ™‚

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great weekend!

Live it up!

Hey hey, Happy Friday!! I thought I’d pop in and share some fun! πŸ™‚

This little bunny is just too sweet! This little guy and the pineapples are part of the new Paper Smooches stamp set, Pineapple Crush stamps and dies. The sentiment is from the new Pineapple Crush 2. Oh my word, I ❀ them both!

I blended distress inks on the background here and then flicked some water on. I colored the cute bunny with Copic markers and added a pom-pom tail. πŸ™‚

I finished off the card with a few sequins and some stitching. The debate I have over using sequins or no sequins is ongoing. πŸ˜›

The pineapples can be stamped in dozens of different ways, as there are lots of little stamp parts that you can use here and there.

That wraps it for now. Another busy weekend ahead here! I think this is just the beginning of a busy season, so I better begin to accept it! Ha! πŸ™‚

let’s mix it up!

Happy Friday!! I’m a little behind on most things this week, but I wanted to pop in and share this cool pineapple card, using the new Paper Smooches Pineapple 2 die! πŸ™‚

I also used the new Cross Stitch Die to create this monocramatic background with lots of texture! πŸ™‚ Big fan of this die, and I did some actual crossstitching with it…coming soon! πŸ˜‰

For his cool glasses, I cut all the strips and adhered them down before die cutting the glasses. ❀ the happy face! πŸ™‚

This sentiment is from the uber fun Pineapple Crush 2 stamp set, and again this AWESOME pineapple is the new Pineapple 2 Die.

I hope to be back again this weekend! In the meantime, I hope you get a chocolate bunny delivered to you! πŸ˜‰
Take care- Jill πŸ™‚
