Holly Jolly Release from Simon Says Stamp

I am joining the fun over at Simon Says Stamp for the new Holly Jolly release!! My cards are more of the gift giving idea… a whole set whipped up in a jif!

I made two cards to share today. I think I’ll either send these or add to the set and gift it this holiday season. πŸ™‚ I used the new Simon Says Stamp Embossing Folder called Peony Bundle. These sentiments are both from the Concord & 9th set called Sew Pretty.

I kept it very simple beyond the embossing on both….adding some embossed lines, stitching and simple sentiments.

I created the next one in a peach color. I think the embossing folder is so lovely it just doesn’t need much more. πŸ™‚

Dear Friend ❀

Make Merry from Simon Says Stamp!

I am joining the fun over at Simon Says Stamp for the new Make Merry release!! Happy Holiday season–let’s get the cardmaking started!

For this card, I’m using the NEW Slimline Christmas Wafer Die and it is delightful! It comes with the backer outline, so I was excited to use this cardstock strip technique! Whenever I get a good blocky font, I can’t resist! πŸ™‚

This clean and simple card is ready to mail! The trick on this long slim card is to keep the stitching straight, if that is the intention. Which it was on this card for me. πŸ™‚

I love a card with stripes of color and lots of white! Everytime! πŸ™‚

STAMPtember with Honey Bee!

I am joining the fun over at Simon Says Stamp for the Honey Bee Exclusive Release for STAMPtember!! πŸ™‚

You can pop over to the Simon Says Stamp Blog HERE to see more about this stamp set releasingΒ  from Simon Says Stamp/ Honey Bee Stamps NOW! πŸ™‚ This stamp set is called On My Mind and it has a coordinating die you can order as part of the combo if you’d like.

This set is a sweet wreath perfect for Autumn or really any time, depending on the colors you choose to use. I decided to take a slightly alternative route and create a watercolor card using the floral part of the wreath for a border around.

I laid down a few layers of watercolor and then white heat embossed over the top. I think if I did it again, I’d let up a little to keep more of the yellows, but you just never know with watercolor, do you?Β  πŸ™‚

Be sure to check out all the goodness over at Simon Says Stamp and find all the goodies there! The Honey Bee Stamps/SSS set On My Mind HERE. If you are thinking of ordering it, don’t delay!

There are a limited amount of these On My Mind stamp sets and dies available and if sometimes if you wait a wee bit too long (ask me how I know!) …POOF! They are gone! πŸ™‚ The exclusive collaborations are selling out in record time this year, so act fast if you can.

SSS STAMPtember 2020!

I am joining the fun over at Simon Says Stamp for the 2020 party of STAMPtember!! πŸ™‚

I am using the new CZ Design Deco Squares Cling Background stamp! I decided it would be super fun to use the Karin Markers on it and watercolor allllll the rainbow goodness! πŸ™‚ I also used the previously released SSS You’re Doing Awesome die.

It’s far from perfect, but with watercolor, I think you have to let that go early on. I even used a lavender and a deep violet, which is basically against the grain, in my world. haaa! πŸ™‚

You can pop over to the Simon Says Stamp Blog HERE to learn all the things about the celebration this month. Be sure to use the code in the image above for your order from Simon Says Stamp and getΒ your gift! πŸ™‚

Let’s Connect from Simon Says Stamp!

I am joining the fun over at Simon Says Stamp for the new Let’s Connect release!! Hooray for mailing cards and staying connected! πŸ™‚

I am using the fabulous NEW SSS Stamp:Β Drawn Daises and you can find it HERE. The sentiment I used is from the previously released Just Because Word Mix 2. πŸ™‚ I cut it all out with the SSS Basic Rectangles. This stamp is quite pretty! I’m not entirely sure I did it justice, but it was fun to create. πŸ™‚ I stamped and white heat embossed this on some watercolor paper before painting it with my watercolors. I think this card could definitely be better with some more practice. Watercolor is tricky for me to use on images because I want to control it too much. πŸ™‚ ha!

I wanted to make the Daisies pop, so I did a dark background. I am looking forward to sending this one out into the world! πŸ™‚

I am using the NEW SSS Stamp: Poppies Background and you can find it HERE. The sentiment I used is from SSS Love Messages. ❀ I cut the whole thing out with the SSS Basic Rectangles too. )

This Poppies Background stamp is a lovely one and large to cover your whole card front, if you so choose. I decided to white heat emboss it and then blend on some Ripe Persimmon Distress Oxide Ink (with a dab of Hickory Smoke). Then I splattered it with paint, added some stitching the sentiment and done. πŸ™‚

Sunny Days Ahead!

Today I am joining the fun over at Simon Says Stamp for the new Sunny Days Ahead release!! It’s a release to celebrate all the season is bringing!

I am using the NEW SSS Stencil called Grad Caps Stencil and you can find it HERE. I also used SSS Basic Rectangles dies–which really are a staple on my desk. πŸ™‚

I used Nuvo Glitter Paste (find it HERE) for the sparkle on the stencil after I blended on some light blue ink. It sparkles in such a fun way in person, but photos never quite capture it! πŸ™‚

I also used Concord & 9th’s Simple Serif Alpha Dies andΒ Paper Smooches New Beginnings 2 (for the small sentiment).

I think this turned out fun and a little different than a typical grad card. I am looking forward to popping in the mail next month. πŸ™‚

Here are the Simon Says Stamp products and others I used again:Β

United We Craft!

Today I am joining the fun over at Simon Says Stamp HERE for a UNITED WE CRAFT party!! Yessssss!

There is sure to be lots of inspiration to keep us all busy while we stay home and hopefully do some crafting, cardmaking, scrapbooking…or whatever is your fave! πŸ™‚

Today I used the Simon Says Stamp Spinning Circle and the Just Because Word Mix 2. This one turned out so fun and cheerful!

I die cut all the colors from the Spinning Circle, pieced it together, and then stamped the Word Mix 2 (combo of stamp and die HERE.) on some vellum before heat embossing it. I glued it on top of the Spinning Circle. Then added everything to a scored and stitched panel before adhering it to a card base. So fun!

Just a note of cheer! πŸ™‚

Here are the Simon Says Stamp products I used again: Spinning Circle and the Just Because Word Mix 2.

Lucky to Know You–from Simon Says Stamp!

There is a New Release available over at Simon Says Stamp HERE— This release is called Lucky to Know You and I used the new Just Because Word Mix 2.

This stamp set is just FABULOUS in it’s lovely fonts and all it’s wonderful shapes and mix of sentiments! There is a coordinating die called SSS Word Mix 2 that you cut all these great sentiments out ALL AT ONCE with! You can find that HERE. (You can purchase the Word Mix 2 combo of stamp and die HERE.) I didn’t have this die, but as you can see below, I just went on creating anyway, trimming them each out with my paper trimmer. πŸ™‚

For all these cards, I also used a stencil from Altenew called Cube Builder and you can find this gem HERE.

Ok get cozy, because I made just a “few” cards. πŸ™‚Β  For these, I also either used SSS Nested Tags HERE or SSS Basic Rectangles HERE. Both worked swimmingly!

This first card, I used the stencil different that I used it on all the others. It’s fun to mix it up, isn’t it?

I used lots of different inks and colors and blended them all on in different ways!

I mixed up all the stitching and tried to vary the composition of each a little too. This one below, I wasn’t going to share, but I love this sentiment! πŸ™‚

Sending Happy Thoughts!

Hey You! This gray one might just be a fave! I love the variant of grays…..it reminds me of all those graphite projects in college. πŸ™‚

It’s Ok to Not be Ok! ❀

I hope you enjoyed these cards and are inspired to make some of your own. It’s always good to adapt and create, even if you don’t have the coordinating dies, you can use these stamps!! πŸ™‚

Be sure to check out the whole release and this particularly fun Stamp/Die, Word Mix 2 HERE.

Thanks to Simon Says Stamp for having me along to celebrate this fun NEW release! Be sure to check it all out HERE!
