Believe in Yourself!

There is a fun challenge over at Lawn Fawnatics–an inspiration board! I love this summery feel. 🙂

You can check it out HERE.

When I saw this board, I kept thinking summer break!! I thought of our son and I wanted to make him a card to go along with all his end of the school year treat and summer books. Ha!!!

Anywho, I started out making this in the vein of a summery, bright background. Then, unbeknownst to me, I ended up with this galactic goodness. Ha!! So the result is a far stretch from the inspiration board, but this is where it took me. 🙂

You’re a Star! tooooooo cute! 🙂

For this card, I used Lawn Fawn’s stamps: Beam Me Up and the coordinating dies.  I colored everything with Copic Markers. I created the background loosely with Distress Oxide inks and water, letting it spill over the masked lines. At first I thought I’d toss the background, but then I was down with the blobs, so I finished it all off with some stitching and adhering all with foam tape. 😉

I’m sure he’ll think these little guys are too fun! 🙂

Be sure to check out the challenge and join in HERE! Fun fun!

Have a great rest of the week!

Take care– Jill 🙂

Little Hellos

If there is one thing I can always count on to jump start the crafty flow again, it’s a card challenge. I try and participate in them regularly because they are always so enjoyable for me! 🙂

Therefore, this Lawn Fawnatics Challenge worked out swimmingly because I wanted to make a handful of simple fun cards. Boom. Done! 🙂

The current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge is just that–check it out HERE.

This one uses Lawn Fawn’s Aloha stamp set and die. Love. It.

This one uses Lawn Fawn’s Winter Unicorn stamp set (and dies) and the sentiment is from Beam Me Up.

These two cutie Dinos are from Lawn Fawn’s Rawr stamp set and dies.

All these are from Lawn Fawn’s lil’ mini stamp sets and I always ❤ them!  🙂

I colored all these images with Copic Markers (I think I colored all of them for a round of the Daily Marker 30 day challenge? Another reason why I love that challenge–images are ready to go for “someday”!) and stenciled on the heart background (using a negative cut out in my scrap bin.) with Distress Oxide Inks.

Be sure to check out the challenge and join in HERE! Fun fun!

Have a great week!

Take care– Jill 🙂
