MFT Color Challenge #51

Here’s my take on MFT Color Challenge #51! These challenges come from the My Favorite Things Challenge & Inspiration Blog!

I thought I would use the Happy Birthday Centerpieces die cut, and change it up a smidgen. 🙂

hawkins_jill_HB_wmIt has a bit of an 80’s feel to it, doesn’t it? 🙂

hawkins_jill_HB_00_wmAnd now that I have these die cuts in all four colors, I am ready to make 3 more cards!! 🙂 Bonus! 🙂

More MFT Supplies: BG Grid Background and Blueprints 13. 🙂

Thanks for stopping by!

This week’s sketch:MFT_WSC_249Here are my takes this week:

hawkins_jill_boo_wmBoo!! 🙂 Being our first sketch of October, I chose to go Halloween-y! 🙂 I layered in an Orange Zest frame here for interest. It seems to appear more in person. Weird. 🙂

hawkins_jill_boo_00_wmI made a second card with this awesome sketch:

hawkins_jill_eektastic_wmMountain Dies…or ghosts. Whichever 😉 The Sketched Chevron BG is Awesomesauce.hawkins_jill_eektastic_00_wm My BOO card is made with the following supplies at My Favorite Things:

hawkins_jill_thankssomuch_wmI do enjoy the greens! #limelight #fielddayhawkins_jill_thankssomuch_00_wmI clear embossed the striped background on the panel. It’s definitely more fascinating in real life 😉 Also, I have a slight obsession with die cutting. There are worse things, right? 🙂

I squeezed in another card for this sketch:

hawkins_jill_hay there_wmI cannot resist a pun. EVER. It’s another problem 🙂

Sweet Sunday Sketch: #272

Hope your weekend has gone swimmingly! It’s time for the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge!! #272!

Here’s the sketch for this week:

Here is my card for the week:

hawkins_jill_you're my person_wmOh Happy Panda! 🙂 This font is a favorite of mine too. Fabulous set!

hawkins_jill_you're my person_00_wm

These Stitched Basic Edges get a lot of use. Endless versatility.

I stamped this sentiment using the coveted MISTI tool. I saved up for many a months and finally gave in to ordering one. (No help from this group of Sweet Sunday Stampers to resist it! Enablers. Geesh. 😉 ) I haven’t used it but this once (so far), and I must say for the ability to stamp this sentiment repeatedly, making it flawlessly solid, I like it a lot. 😉

Be sure to check out the Sweet Sunday Sketch Blog for all the different takes! I love all the diversity of styles each week. These ladies are oh so fun! 🙂

bd5c3-mftandsimplestoriesToday is the last day of fun & prize opps for My Favorite Things Challenge & Inspiration blog and Simple Stories! Again, if you haven’t seen all the fun this week with Simple Stories, you may want to start HERE from Monday! Because: FUN.

My desk is covered in Simple Stories summery and rad goodness. It was so fun to mess around with different bits and papers and stickers! Weeeee!

Here’s a card I made with Summer Vibes and My Favorite Things: That van!

hawkins_jill_beachvan_ss_wmI am also heavily addicted to Polaroid dies. So MFT’s Precious Polaroids are perfecto!hawkins_jill_beachvan_ss00_wmI was enjoying myself so, and it was already way late, so why not make another card using So Rad!? I saw this Lego sentiment and HAD TO USE IT!

hawkins_jill_legos_ss_wmAck! How fun is that!? Eeeeeek! 🙂 These frames make cards a Snap! 😉hawkins_jill_legos_ss00_wm Gah–so much fun! Thank you Simple Stories for having us join you this week! 🙂

MFT Color Challenge #22!

MFT_ColorChallenge_PaintBook_22Today starts Color Challenge #22 on the My Favorite Things Challenge & Inspiration blog. Head on over there and see what our wickedly talented team busted out this week!

MFTC&I Blog–sure to be FABulous!

Here’s my card for the week:

hawkins_jill_hello_cc_00_wmI double die cut the Jumbo Dot Cover Up after inlaying the first set of circles. When you do this, you can’t exactly tell where you are cutting because the die is solid, but it worked out. 🙂hawkins_jill_hello_cc_wmPolka dots… love ’em! 🙂

I made a second card with some left over dots. It’s been a week of “hmmm, that’s not quite what I was thinking it would look like…”. Too funny. It’s still fun to send a shaker, right?

hawkins_jill_happy cc_00_wmI popped up the black front panel in hopes that Sour Apple would show through the window a bit, but…not so much. Ha!! 😉hawkins_jill_happy cc_wmIt’s already growing on me more though. 🙂
