My Favorite Things: Sketch #260

photoMFT Sketch Challenge #260 starts on the My Favorite Things Challenge & Inspiration Blog today! Bop on over to the MFT Card Challenges page to see what the DT made. I can guarantee they all rock. 🙂

This week’s sketch:MFT_WSC_260Here is my first take this week:

hawkins_jill_shine bright_wmI love the pieces out of the newest Diagonal Quilt Square Cover Up. So I die cut a bunch of quilts, then used the pieces. 🙂 I think I stuck a lot tighter to the sketch this week!! Ha! 🙂

hawkins_jill_shine bright_00_wmI made another card the other night. I had to use this cutie reindeer!!

hawkins_jill_cutethanks_wmBetween the happy jumping Santa, and this reindeer, this BB Jingle All the Way set earned its way into my heart. 🙂 I think I’m going to add a little sparkle to that bright nose.

hawkins_jill_cutethanks_00_wmI used watercolors for these little cuties. The wood paper warms it up so sweetly. 🙂

(This stamp set is a hot commodity. So if you’re interested in it, and it is not in stock, be sure to sign up for the back in stock notification. It’s just a simple click if you have an MFT account! 🙂 )

Hope you can join us for this Sketch Challenge. Maybe using some new stamps you receive for Christmas!? *wink* 🙂

Inspiration…

Inspiration is EVERYWHERE. Literally.

Cath Edvalson has a new adventure: Hip and Hooray!! Well, I’ve always found Cath’s finds inspiring, so I wanted to participate in her inaugural Tuesday’s Take…details found HERE.

Tuesday's Take LargeYou can participate in these challenges as well. There are most certainly not limited to papercrafters, just your imagination. 🙂

This was the image she selected to inspire…and boy does it ever! Colors, pencils, rainbow…ahhhh! 🙂 I just had to make something.

Rainbow Pencils | brightboldbeautiful.comI don’t do many pastel-ish colors, but I just am enamored with how this turned out…so maybe I should!? Hooray for Sherbet colors! 🙂 hawkins_jill_hi two_wmEnjoyable.

A Hug in the Shaker…

PrintToday on the My Favorite Things Blog is the Final Day of SHAKER CARDS!! Confetti everywhere this week!! 🙂

Today’s idea was to show the inside of the card…a Peek-a-boo, if you will. I ended up making the inside basically “the card”. It’s funny how things happen. 😉hawkins_jill_can't wait shake_wm hawkins_jill_can't wait shake_00_wmThe scalloped circle is actually from the Die-namics LLD Cupcake Stand set and works fabulously as a centerpiece, don’t you think? 🙂 The tricky part on this one was hiding the foam. I didn’t completely excel on that task, but didn’t want to toss it either. Once again, a “handmade” card right? 😉

This card is made with the following supplies at My Favorite Things: Die-namics LLD Cupcake Stand, Die-namics Stitched Circle STAX, Photo Booth, In & Out Diagonal Stitched Rectangle STAX (dies), BG Diagonal Lines Background, CS True Friends (stamps), Black Licorice (hybrid ink), Steel Grey (dye ink), Bubble Gum, Steel Grey, Ripe Raspberry (card stock). 🙂

Hope you too have enjoyed the shaker fun this week!! There are PRIZES each day! 😉

HERE is my Shaker Thank You card from yesterday. HERE is my Shaker post (AND Sketch!) from Wednesday. HERE is my Shaker card from Tuesday. There is also a link there to a few other Shaker Cards I’ve made 😉

Be sure to check out the My Favorite Things Challenge & Inspiration blog for the current Sketch Challenge and Color Challenge too.
