Here’s my take on MFT Sketch Challenge #284. This challenge come from the My Favorite Things Challenge & Inspiration Blog!I love to mix up colors, so I used Spearmint, Persimmon, Nightshift and Cement Gray. ahhhh 🙂
I die cut the chevron stripes and used the one in between as another strip. If you don’t snip them apart, you actually get three different chevron strips vs. two. Hopefully I can keep them together! I laid those up, then die cut them into the peek-a-boo circle. Inlaid that, die cut some lines, embossed on vellum, and stitched on the sentiment. LOVE the “You are Freaking Amazing” stamp. I always reach for it. 🙂
I took this photo both early this morning, and just this evening. Neither time grabbed the colors fantastically, but so it goes. A never-ending issue. 🙂My card is made with supplies at My Favorite Things. Die-namics: Blueprints 13, Chevron Stripes, LJD Peek-a-boo Circle Windows, Basic Stitched Lines. Stamps: Amazing. Card stock: Spearmint, Persimmon, Cement Gray, Smooth White and Nightshift.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend! 🙂
Another week, another MFT Sketch Challenge. Sketch #263 on the My Favorite Things Challenge & Inspiration blog. Yana’s guest projects over there this month are fun!! 🙂
Here’s my take: Love. This. Chemistry. ❤
I stamped gray on gray here, but the ink really soaked into the card stock overnight. Wacky.
Also, I believe this is a flask, not a beaker. But I color owls blue. So, you know. All is fair in creative endeavors, right? 😉
Laina’s newly released sets for January make me so very happy! The minute I saw it, I knew there was Undeniable Chemistry! 🙂
My card is made with the following supplies at My Favorite Things: Die-namics: LLD Chemistry Set, Basic Edges, File Folder Edges, Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX (LOVE!), Stitched Fishtail Banners. Stamps: Undeniable Chemistry. Card stock and Inks.
Thanks for stopping in!
Yesterday, I shared cards using non-holiday products for making Holiday cards. Today, I’m sharing a card I made using holiday products for non-holiday cards. 🙂 Did you follow that? I barely did! 😉 (Click HERE for yesterday’s post.)
I made this to send some healing hugs a little while back.
I used the Winter Wonderland stamp set & dies. When I saw these little envelopes and mailbox, well, that was that. 🙂 It’s one of those stamp sets that I’m glad I have the matching dies for. Fun with holiday supplies! Stretching those too!! 🙂 And of course, the Sketched Chevron Background stamp…which I think I have used on at least 90% of my cards since it arrived. 😉
There is a little time left to participate in Sketch Challenge #260 and over a week left for joining Color Challenge #36 on the My Favorite Things Challenge & Inspiration blog! Tomorrow is the last MFT Sketch for 2015!! Wait, what?! Wow.

MFT Sketch Challenge #259 starts on the My Favorite Things Challenge & Inspiration Blog today! Take a break from the holiday craze and join us! Only a couple left after this one for 2015!
This week’s sketch:Here is my take this week:
Poof! I find this a refreshing take on the Christmas cards. Do you? When I finished this card, I thought, Dang, I think Erin has rubbed off on me! Something about its overall feel reminds me of Erin’s fabulously bold style. 🙂
I originally had the three leafy greens exactly like the sketch has them. It looked awkward, so I took those three sketch elements and bundled them. I love to see when people follow Sketches tightly. (Check out Miriam‘s because she’s really good like that). I sometimes (ok, often) end up tweeking a few things on my cards. 😉
I didn’t get to making another Sketch card, but I did make this fun guy:
I tried soooooooooo long to resist ordering this set, because I felt pretty good about my collection of Christmas stamps. But, I’m weak. This one particular Santa made me order it. Plus, I did not have any Santa stamps. So obviously, it’s justifiable. 😉 😉I clear embossed his outline and then used watercolors to give him color! Too fun! 🙂

Today, Color Challenge #35 is on the My Favorite Things Challenge & Inspiration blog! I hope you can hop on over to see what the rest of the Design Team made. Each person really brings their own unique style to their projects. I eagerly wait to read the posts myself! 🙂Here is my card for this Color Challenge:
The Amazing stamp set is a staple sentiment set. It’s font is simple (my fave!), and therefore can fit gracefully into any card type. And the Stitched Stars STAX is another staple. Products like these, are crafty money well spent in my book because of their versatility. Dig that. 🙂 I have another Color Challenge card waiting to be photographed. So I’ll post that one very soon too. I just can’t get a decent photo without the daylight. And well, it’s 10pm. Haaaa!! See you back for that card soon!

This Penguin. Ack. He/She is the cutest! When I saw this little guy/gal, holding marshmallows, I had to order this set. LOL. 🙂
True to form, I flipped and rotated the sketch, but it’s definitely there! 🙂 So fun! Hope you can find some crafty time to join us!

This week’s sketch:
Here is my take this week:
I thought this was a fun and WAY different color combo for me. I flipped the sketch, swapped the rectangle for a circle, and put it all together! 🙂I didn’t get around to making a second Sketch card this week. I’ve been trying to get a little ahead and also making MANY cards for friends and family that have been kind enough to help me on my fundraising efforts. I’m so grateful. 🙂
I originally made a card almost identical to these for Sketch #245. 🙂 I’ve made and completed just these cards, so far. They look awesome together! This is typically not my thing, to make many of the same card. But for the right cause(s), I did it! I think the best part is designing the cards and picking the products, so I rarely make doubles+ etc. 😉
