Eeeeps! Cutie little birds! I created a quick and simple Distress Ink watercolor back drop and when that dried, I stamped the birds in Versafine Black. I added some wonky stitches under their feet and sewed the watercolor panel onto the card front. πŸ™‚

I love the simple typed font with the curly script words! Delightful! πŸ™‚

This little bird I stamped on three same size pieces of cardstock and pieced them together. I added  a couple black strips and some stitching and Voila! πŸ™‚ SMILE! I love these kind of cards and I love to mail them!

These little birdies have coordinating dies, and those can be found HERE. I don’t have them, but I think they would be fun to use to layer up these little birds in flocks! πŸ™‚

While I have you, I thought it would be fun to share a couple coffee cards I made with TT’s new October goodies!

I just love how simple this first card is and how it turned out! I wish I have made a few more at the time.  πŸ™‚ I just used Hero Arts Unicorn Pigment ink on black paper to stamp this awesome coffee cup from the NEW Perk Up Stamp set.

This sentiment is from the Sassy Coffee set! Oh my word–these Sassy sets that Teri Anderson creates keep me cracking up time after time. I just think they are all a riot and can be found HERE.

This next card uses the same Sassy Coffee set, but over and over. Because I feel like that just needs repeating. πŸ™‚

I stamped the cute smiley coffee cup from the same set. You know I love any inanimate object that smiles. πŸ™‚ Haaaa!

I hope you are able to carve some time out today and create. I’m likely to do mine late tonight when our son goes to bed. But that’s normal. πŸ™‚ Have a great weekend and be sure to check out the new stuff from Technique Tuesday HERE!  πŸ™‚ Including this new Chickadees 2.0 WCMD set!

Take care- Jill πŸ™‚

Fall Tidings and more!

Fall Tidings? That’s a thing, right? Well, it is now. LOL! πŸ™‚

Today, I’m popping in with a few more cards from the September Release (and others!) of Technique Tuesday! All the new goodies can be found HERE!

My first card features this month’s cutie owl, Framed Owl! Awwwww! ❀ I also used the sentiment from Sassy Birthday! Perfectly funny! πŸ™‚

I colored this cutie with Copic Markers and cut him out using the Clipboard die.

Next up, is this perfectly seasonal sentiment paired up with these layered leaves from the Fall Favorites set. These leaves stamp in such a cool fashion and I love the look in the end! It’s pretty subtle is these photos, but in person, it is lovely. Imagine the possibilities of layers with these!

I also added in some sweet acorns from the Fall Accents dies. When I made this card, we were actually experiencing sweater weather and I loved it! Suddenly, we are back into the low 90’s. Phew!

Another sweet and simple card using the Fall Accent dies is this one below:

This card is pretty simple and straight forward, but it would be easy to create a bunch of these for that very reason. This sentiment is from the Echinacea Stamp set. (All the finches are currently eating our dried up Echinacea flowers in the yard. ❀ )

And last, but not least, is this tidy little holiday number:

This pinecone (Pinecone Builder) ROCKS and I need to use it more! It comes with a solid cone to create a background for your delicate die cut. I used both delicate cuts here however. I die cut the pinecone,Β  as well as dry embossed it, to create some texture on the background

If you eliminated the “letterpress” background, this card would be fairly simple to create by the dozen! Of course, I love this handwritten sentiment paired with the typeface of “wishes”. This is from the Spirit of December stamp set. This sentiment set is crazy versatile, because you can mix up the sentiments as needed… and you don’t have to cut them. (the horror! LOL!) πŸ˜‰ πŸ™‚

Be sure to hop over and check out the new stuff from Technique Tuesday HERE!Β  Lots of trouble to be had! πŸ™‚

Thanks for stopping by!!

Technique Tuesday Flamingo FUN!

Happy Weekend! I am excited to share these cards I made with the September Release from Technique Tuesday! They can be found HERE!

I keep laughing at the sentiments is this super fun stamp set: Floyd and Frannie Flamingo stamp set and coordinating dies. So. Much. Fun.

I painted this background with my Kuretake watercolors and the flamingos with Copic Markers. This sentiment still makes me laugh to read it! πŸ™‚For this second card, I created a background with lots of masked off flamingos. Again, I colored these flamingos with Copic Markers and die cut them out. I white heat embossed the sentiment and die cut it out with the Postage Card die.

This has to be my favorite sentiment of the bunch. SO cracks me up! πŸ™‚

Be sure to hop over and check out the new stuff from Technique Tuesday HERE!  πŸ™‚ Lots of fun stuff!

Have an awesome weekend!

12th Birthday!

Hola! I’m sharing this card I made for my niece, who is turning 12!!!??? How!!?? I swear she was just turning 3 yesterday. Yup, I’m that adult that cannot digest that children just keep on growing! Haaa! πŸ™‚  ❀

I thought this bear would be fantastic to hold some fun balloons! AND a cupcake, while sporting a party hat! Busy little dude! πŸ™‚

I colored the cutie bear and his accessories with Copic markers, added some Stickles and Wink of Stella sparkle. I tied silver thread to each balloon (which, while time consuming, is a fun detail) and finished it off with a little washi tape and stitching. In the end, it’s a little bit busier of a card than I generally make, but it is a PARTY! πŸ™‚

For this, I used Essentials by Ellen All Inside ( and dies), EH’s Silver Linings, and Avery Elle’s Numbered Balloons and Party Animal  stamp/die.

I’m adding this for the Mix-It Up Challenge with Avery Elle over at Ellen Hutson! Perfect! πŸ™‚

Thanks for stopping by! Biggest birthday wishes to E on Monday! Shhhhhh! πŸ™‚ ❀

Technique Tuesday: Christmas in August!

A new month, a new bunch of stamps and dies from Technique Tuesday ! They can all be found HERE! Not only are Christmas stamps in this release, but lots of camera-y goodness and of course, the latest flower. πŸ™‚

Today, I’ll share the Christmas cards I made because they make me laugh! And I NEED to make more…so hoping this gets me going! πŸ™‚

Both cards use awesomely funny new sentiments from this Dear Santa set. Crack. Me. Up. πŸ™‚

I stamped this on kraft and colored with colored pencils. I also used the new planning set, Christmas Doodles ( ❀ these little doodles!) for stamping a tone on tone background for this card base. The die is a favorite go-to: Postage Card Die.

This next card, I also use the same Dear Santa set, but also I used the newly released, Spirit of December. A versatile set with simple images (aka, not intimidating) and great sentiments for scrapbook use (and ALWAYS cards)! πŸ˜‰

I colored the images with Copic markers and added some washi tape along the bottom before stitching the panel on.

How super funny is this sentiment?! LOL! How many of these could I send out? Bwwwaaahahhaa! πŸ˜‰

Be sure to check out ALL the fun new stuff from Technique Tuesday HERE! It’s a release I can’t wait to get out and use some more!Β  πŸ™‚

Have a great Sunday!

Enjoy- Jill πŸ™‚

I’m squeaking in my entry to this month’s Little Tangles challenge….phew! πŸ™‚ I’m so glad I made it!

Eeeeee they are CUTE!Little Tangles Challenge: Masking! Masking is such fun when you take off the mask and it’s like magic! πŸ™‚

I stamped and masked off the embroidery hoop from Neat and Tangled’s Hand Stitched set (that I won! Hooray!) and stamped these cuties from My Favorite Nut. I then colored them with Copic Markers and added a heart from the My Favorite Nut dies. I thought it was a sweet little card to pop in the mail! πŸ™‚

Have a great rest of the week!! πŸ™‚

Jill πŸ™‚

A lil’ cuteness…

Happy Wednesday! I thought I’d pop in super quick and share a few recent Paper Smooches cards I made. I am ALWAYS excited about new products, but I love using my older products as well. After all, I have them for a reason!Β  πŸ™‚

First up, are these cuties I recently made with my son. Normally, when we make cards together, I personally never get anything made. That’s because I’m always helping him set up the MISTI or get this supply or that, etc. But this session, I did get these cuties made! I was amazed. Nothing fancy, but worth sharing because I loved making them with him. ❀

These cards are all made with Paper Smooches Cuteasaurus set! ❀ I colored the first card with Prismacolor colored pencils, and the one below with Copic Markers. That was super tricky, because I stamped these on basic white cardstock. Well, I am blender and bleeder when it comes to Copics, so I was surprised that these did not turn out completely awful! πŸ™‚ (I normally use Copic blending card.)

For this card, because the Dinosaur needs to face the other way too, you need the mirror image. For this, you can use Paper Smooches’ Mirror Blocks. I was a little distracted, so I didn’t get a super clean image when I stamped it in reverse. No biggie though, because you can go back and fill in with a fine tip black pen! Yay! πŸ™‚

This sentiment is from the July set Body Language. πŸ™‚ Perfect with the googley eyes, of course. πŸ™‚

Here is a photo that includes the ones my son made. He does all his own stamping, and that includes trying to get ALL THE STAMPS on one card! Haaaaa! ❀ It is seriously the cutest thing to this 100% biased Mom. He then uses my Copics & Zig Clean Color markers. Because why would he use any of his dozen coloring implements? LOL!!

I love that he made the dinosaurs and drew in his own heart! πŸ™‚ He also thought the little Kidneys were potatoes, so he ran with that. I was cracking up!! They can definitely be potatoes, right? ❀

He spent a lot of time coloring these and then gave it to Dad. (I hope i get the Dinos….shhhh! πŸ™‚ ) I adore how they turned out.

For this next card, I used Paper Smooches Falling for You set, and coordinating Falling for You Dies. I also used the Cardbooking dies for the speech bubble fun!

I made this background a long while back, and it was sitting on my desk. But I’m fairly certain I used Orange and Yellow Distress Inks and blended those on. πŸ™‚ I colored the bat with Copics.

Thanks for stopping in! I’ll see you tomorrow for Paper Smooches Pep Rally week–sneak peeks for the new release!! eeeeeeee! πŸ™‚
