You’re Turtley Awesome!

Happy Friday! We meet here again πŸ™‚

Today, I’m sharing a turtleriffic Paper Smooches card! This little turtle stole my heart a while back, and I just ❀ this set, Courteous Cuties and their coordinating dies HERE.Β

I colored the cutie little critters with Copic Markers and just watercolored a quick background for the rest of the card. πŸ™‚

I think this set makes the sweetest little cards for kids and for adults alike. I ❀ it!

I am really looking forward to tucking this one into my son’s lunchboxΒ  one day TOO! πŸ™‚

Thank you for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

Garden Greetings!

Happy Friday! I am back on my Friday Paper Smooches schedule this week! Last week, we were out-of-town having fun with family. But I’m getting back on track slowly this week! πŸ™‚

If you haven’t seen it all, Paper Smooches June release is available HERE!

I made these projects I’m sharing today with the new Garden Greetings stamp set and dies. This set isΒ  fun to color! πŸ™‚

First up, is one of my favorite cards this month–This stamp and matching die makes just the sweetest little thank you card!

The added bee slays me! πŸ™‚Β  I colored these flowers with Copic markers and added Glossy Accents, letting them dry overnight. I added the image to a card panel that I reverse scored repeatedly. I finished it all off with a stitched “window” and some sparkly sequins! πŸ™‚

This BFF below, was one of the first things I colored from this set. ❀ Some nights, you just want to color!

The cutest little bees are from the Courteous Cuties (seriously the cutest!) set, with matching dies.

I added Glossy Accents to these images as well. I think I was determined to go through a whole bottle this last month or so!Β  LOL! πŸ™‚

This tag die is the For You tag die. I love its squatty look! I finished off this card with some twine and stitching. πŸ™‚

Gah, it’s all such fun!! (You can find the card I shared previously using this set HERE.) ❀

Thanks for stopping by again! Have an awesome weekend!

Gah! ❀jill_sweets-icons-dies_00

I colored these cuties with Copic Markers. The sentiment is from the new Let’s Celebrate stamp set. The animals are from Courteous Cuties with the dies ;). I can’t stop ❀ ing them!

The balloons are from the Celebrate Balloons dies. These are my two favorite balloons in the set. πŸ˜‰

The Cutest Video Hop Ever!

logo_finalHappy ❀ Day, and welcome to The Cutest Video Hop Ever!  My son and I are VERY excited and grateful to be joining Emily Leiphart for this fun hop celebrating 5000 subscribers on her YouTube channel but, more importantly, inspiring the next generation of crafters!  We hope you have as much fun watching us craft with our kids, as much as we enjoyed creating these projects to share with you.  We are also proud to have two very inspiring young crafters joining us on their own YouTube channels.

I prepped everything, and my son colored all the critters. Afterwards, he excitedly shouted, in a *chop chop* fastion, “Ok, let’s make the video!” I started to explain what the overall plan was, and he said he wanted to do it all on his own, HIS way. Perfect! (But I wasn’t sure what to expect! haaa!) He started, finished twenty minutes later (including our glue mishaps), and that was that! πŸ™‚Β  Bam! πŸ™‚

Please note: I have NEVER crafted a video before, so be warned. From the filming, to editing, it is all new to me. My son however, seems to be a natural at the instruction. Who knew?! ❀

Here is our video ❀ :

hawkins_valentines_age6
I think these are so stinkin’ cute! Our family and his friends are going to love them! πŸ™‚
hawkins_ps-valentines

He put pom poms on that little Paper Smooches sheep! So cute! πŸ™‚

I laugh because he colored this one Technique Tuesday fox fairly traditionally, and the other is a party! Also, one gets all the Tootsie Rolls? LOL. Love it! πŸ™‚hawkins_tt-valentines

Here are a few cards I colored using Elena’s new Just Me Digital Stamps–so stinkin’ cute!! πŸ™‚
hawkins_jill-valentine
I colored all these with Copic Markers. The images are so sweet, and it is easy to download and print them yourself! Another first for me on this hop: Digital Stamps! And…now I want them all! LOL πŸ™‚hawkins_jill-smore2
These frame dies and the heart dies my son used, are all from My Favorite Things. hawkins_jill-smore_01
Oooops, a little stitching blooper on this one above! shhhh! πŸ™‚
hawkins_jill_love_wm
This Technique Tuesday card is made with the Long Love die. It is super delicate, so I recommend using one of the sticky papers so you can die cut all at once to adhere. The hearts are from the Heart Strings die. Awwwww love. πŸ™‚
jill_i-love-you-die_01

And, last, but not least, is this valentine using Paper Smooches I Love You die and the For You tag die. This one is for my hubby, so I thought the gray was perfect to “man” it up a bit. This is a fun die for many occasions! πŸ™‚

I want to give a HUGE HUGE thanks out to Emily, for first, being crazy enough to ask my son and me to join this hop. And secondly, for her encouragement to make this video and edit it. I can’t say whether or not I’ll ever craft another video, but I will say it was a very good thing to try.Β (I embedded this video link above and felt so accomplished! LOL!!). My son will likely request to make another πŸ™‚ . I always enjoy a challenge…Even if I did miss a typo in the video. Bwaaahaaaa! I did that on “purpose”… wink wink! Thanks again, Emily! πŸ™‚

Thanks for joining us today…be sure you hop on to Laura BassenΒ (& leave comments too for a chance at the fantastic prizes!).Β Laura’s videos are inspiring and I always find myself laughing out loud! Her daughter is sure to add even more fun! πŸ™‚

Signing off!

Let’s Celebrate!

Happy Friday! I’m back to share another card using Paper Smooches February release!

This fun idea popped in my head one night.  πŸ™‚ I used the new Let’s Celebrate Icons dies.

jill_lets-celebrate-icon-dies

I had this cute little fish sitting on my desk, and he looked like he wanted to visit a friend ❀ . I thought of these balloons as the sacks you take fish home in. Those sacks have greenery on the bottom, right? πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰

jill_lets-celebrate-icon-dies_00

I colored one fish in with Copic Markers and the others with Zig watercolor pens. I also used the Mirror Blocks to stamp the fish swimming toward her friend. This sentiment is from the new, Let’s Celebrate stamp set. The fish is from the Courteous Cuties with the dies. I super enjoy all the critters in that set. ❀

Oh, and the heart is from the Cozy Coffee die

Be sure to check out the Paper Smooches Blog!! It’s a party this month! πŸ™‚

Thank you again for stopping by–enjoy your weekend!

Take care- Jill πŸ™‚

FEBRUARY is Paper Smooches Anniversary month, They are celebrating 6 years!  Be prepared for a TON of fun all through the month of February!

For my project, I used the brand new Celebrate Balloons Dies. Balloons are always a go-to for any celebratory card, so their versatility is a big win! Plus, I super love the big balloons. πŸ™‚

jill_celebrate-balloon-dies

For this card, I die cut a bunch of balloons, and blended a little ink on each. Then I piled them on and added this cute little Bee from Courteous Cuties with the sentiment from Courteous Cuties 2 (and their dies). I think this Bee is ridiculously cute! Buzzzzz! πŸ™‚

jill_celebrate-balloon-dies_00

I thought it would be fun to make another project for today. I kept this one simple by just using my favorite balloon from the new Celebrate Balloon dies and the You Are Loved die.

jill_celebrate-balloon-dies_02

Oh goodness, I love googley eyes. πŸ™‚ (This little smiley is from the Market Fresh set, which I believe has been retired.)jill_celebrate-balloon-dies_02_00

You Are Loved

I thought I’d pop in with some newΒ  Paper Smooches fun to share!

hawkins_jill_you-are-loved For this card, I used the new PS You Are Loved die and the SUPER stinkin’ cuteΒ  Courteous Cuties and Courteous Cuties 2. I also used the Snow Drifts die for him to sit on. Oh my word, how cute are these critters!!?hawkins_jill_you-are-loved_This cute turtle below I colored up straight away! I super love him! πŸ™‚ I added him to the new For You Tag die, and popped him on a quick card, with a little stitching. πŸ™‚ I colored both of these critters with Copic Markers. hawkins_jill_turtley_wm I also used the new Courteous Cuties Icons dies. I had to color every critter, and die cut them all out. I think I’ve used them all now? So, so cute! πŸ™‚hawkins_jill_turtley_00_wm

I’m so glad Kim has a new batch of critters to enjoy! Check out all the new stuff HERE.
