Freaking Amazing. MFT Sketch 284

Here’s my take on MFT Sketch Challenge #284. This challenge come from the My Favorite Things Challenge & Inspiration Blog!photoI love to mix up colors, so I used Spearmint, Persimmon, Nightshift and Cement Gray. ahhhh 🙂

hawkins_jill_amazing_00_wmI die cut the chevron stripes and used the one in between as another strip. If you don’t snip them apart, you actually get three different chevron strips vs. two. Hopefully I can keep them together! I laid those up, then die cut them into the peek-a-boo circle. Inlaid that, die cut some lines, embossed on vellum, and stitched on the sentiment. LOVE the “You are Freaking Amazing” stamp. I always reach for it. 🙂

I took this photo both early this morning, and just this evening. Neither time grabbed the colors fantastically, but so it goes. A never-ending issue. 🙂hawkins_jill_amazing_wmMy card is made with supplies at My Favorite Things. Die-namics: Blueprints 13, Chevron Stripes, LJD Peek-a-boo Circle Windows, Basic Stitched Lines. Stamps: Amazing. Card stock: Spearmint, Persimmon, Cement Gray, Smooth White and Nightshift.

MFT Sketch #276

Challenge in the Challenge: 30 minutes or less, start to finish.

Behold, the 25 minute card! 🙂 Phew!

Here’s my take on MFT Sketch Challenge #276! (My Favorite Things Challenge & Inspiration blog.)photoThis is one of the fastest cards I have ever completed. LOL. If I wasn’t in such a hurry, I would have stamped the sentiments one at a time to get them snug together, but alas.

hawkins_jill_wishing you_wmThe one card I never have ready to go is a flat-out Birthday card! And being a card maker, why would I have those done and ready on time? 😉

I used a dark gray ink to stamp the sentiment. I didn’t want it to be solid and dark. It worked out well. The part that took the longest was drying the ink and then the watercolor. Impatience. Geesh.

hawkins_jill_wishing you_00_wmDo I love this card? Well, it’s better than I thought it would be, for sure! However, I have spent hours on a card and not liked it in the end, so in that case, I LOVE this card!! 🙂

My card is made with supplies at My Favorite Things. Die-namics: Blueprints 13, Stitched Basic Lines. Stamps: London Mouse and Label Maker Sentiments.

MFT Color Challenge #33

Color Challenge #33 is on the My Favorite Things Challenge & Inspiration blog!

MFT_ColorChallenge_PaintBook_33I’m really enjoyed working with this combo because it evokes such coziness. Hence my cards for this Challenge:

hawkins_jill_let's cuddle_wmThis card makes me oh so happy! The new Chunky Chevron Cover up is AWESOME. Just so cool. The possibilities! 🙂

For this card, I cut the cover up out of Sweet Tooth and then inlaid all the pieces. After, I overlaid the hollow Steel Gray cover up in the opposite direction. I shrieked a bit! Die cutting and stamping are definitely my happy. 🙂

hawkins_jill_let's cuddle_00_wmI made another card with this combo, this time using the chevron pieces only 🙂

hawkins_jill_the snuggle_wmAgain, The Snuggle is Real. I keep joking I may need an intervention to stop using these two products. Of course, I’m kidding. Or am I? Haaaaa! 🙂

hawkins_jill_the snuggle_00_wmThis color combo just says: Winter. 🙂

hawkins_jill_warm wishes_wmOverall, I don’t have the die cuts for many of the stamps sets. But I splurged to get this one and I’m glad I did! I think I may need to acquire the London Mouse set too. Because, I love to die cut the buildings. 🙂hawkins_jill_warm wishes_00_wmThe new Die-namics, Basic Stitch Lines is awesome. Just sayin’. 🙂
