Pi Delivery! :)

I think I have a punny problem? Haaaaa! 🙂

hawkins_jill_pi multi_00_wmLawn Fawn stamps are puntastically pun for punage. So I cannot (obviously) resist. Plus, with their Alpha sets, it’s so easy to put everything together. (Well, this card took me a couple of days, because time is not my friend, but that is neither here nor there. LOL 🙂 )

hawkins_jill_pi multi_wmI used Lawn Fawn’s new stamp sets: Cutie Pie and Home for the Holidays. 😉 I used Harold’s ABCs for the sentiment once again. That set can’t be beat! 🙂 Oh wait, there’s a pun waiting to happen in there….beat|beet! LOL! 🙂

I’m also excited I got to play along with the current Color Throwdown Challenge #408! Check that out HERE! (I combined the Red and Yellow to make the Orange. Shhhh) 🙂

(The stitched Rectangle die is from My Favorite Things. Blueprints!! 🙂 )

Thanks for stopping by–hope your day is full of pun! Seriously, I canNOT turn it off. 😉

Oh [ginger]SNAP!

So while I was making THIS CARD the other night, this idea (below) percolated. There I was, last night, making it. I couldn’t resist! Sometimes I have to get these things out of my head! Anyone tired of the puns yet? NEVER! 🙂

hawkins_jill_ginger snapped_00_wmI used Lawn Fawn’s Rooting for You stamp set. 😉 I also used a face from the Donut Worry set again.

hawkins_jill_ginger snapped_wmI scored the card over and over to fill in the “white space”, and I LOVE how that turned out! I have always been a fan of scoring cards, but I don’t think I’ve ever done this much before? Anyway, I’ll likely be doing it again. Adds so much so simply! 🙂

I stamped Harold’s ABCs for the sentiments and used A Birdie Told Me die cuts for the speech bubbles.

(The stitched Rectangle die is from My Favorite Things. Blueprints!! 🙂 )

The current Lawnscaping Challenge is Punny!! So maybe I have it out of my system now? Doubtful. Vegetables reek puns! Someday, we’ll meet again. 🙂 Haaaa!

Grrrrr…Steamed Vegetables! :)

Puntastic! This card makes me laugh! Who doesn’t love and avoid “steamed veges”? Haaaaa! 🙂

I used Lawn Fawn’s Rooting for You stamp set. 😉

hawkins_jill_steamed2_wmI also used faces from the Milk and Cookies set and the Donut Worry set. I needed *steamed* faces. Haaaaa! 🙂

hawkins_jill_steamed2_00_wmI actually thought to make TWO cards at once this time, hence, here is the second. The only difference is the stitching. I couldn’t decide. Not much of a difference, but since I was doing the photos, I took both. 🙂

hawkins_jill_steamed1_wmI used Harold’s ABCs for the sentiment. I cannot tell you how long these cards took me to make! 🙂 I’m not even sure why they took sooo long. *rolls eyes at self*. Still laughing though–SO worth it. 🙂

hawkins_jill_steamed1_00_wmAlso, I used the arrow from the Wish You Were Here die set! Perfecto!

(The stitched Rectangle die is from My Favorite Things. Blueprints!! 🙂 )

The current Lawnscaping Challenge is Punny!! I absolutely HAD to get in on that! 🙂 So glad I made it! Punny gets me every time. 🙂  Check out all the fun HERE!

i like you. a lot.

I sat down and messed up a few things. Then, I saw this unfinished project on my desk from the #thedailymarker30day …whooot! I thought, perfecto! 🙂 I’ll wrap this ditty up!

hawkins_jill_i like you_wmThis card looks so vibrant in person, yet I cannot capture it on camera. Why is it so hard? *Rolls eyes*. 🙂

hawkins_jill_i like you_00_wmI used Distress Inks and blended them on. And then Lawn Fawn’s Quinn’s ABCs to emboss over top. (This set is WELL loved here.) I was pleasantly surprised how this turned out. Because, after all, I used some purple. Haaaa! 🙂

The Stitched Rectangle die is from My Favorite Things. Blueprints!! 🙂

Thanks for stopping by–and I always thank you for dropping comments. So many kind words left here, and I appreciate them all. 🙂

The busy summer rolls on here for another week! SO glad it does. And I’ll need a nap when summer break is over. 🙂

Here’s the Scoop!

For this cute card, I used my Day 15 from #thedailymarker30day and completed another sweet Lawn Fawn card. I wanted to celebrate National Ice Cream Day, albeit late. We should always celebrate Ice Cream, right? 🙂

I used Lawn Fawn’s Here’s the Scoop set. 😉hawkins_jill_scoop_wmI used Zig markers to loosely watercolor, added some Wink of Stella sparkle, and of course, added googley eyes! 🙂

hawkins_jill_scoop_00_wmI did take a photo with less google eyes…and then, I decided life is more fun with google eyes! Haaaa!! Here’s the comparison: Still cute, those cones!! 🙂

hawkins_jill_scoop_less_wmThe Wonky Rectangle die is from My Favorite Things. STAX!! 🙂

The current Lawnscaping Challenge is RAINBOW!! Check out all the fun HERE!

Thanks for stopping by–have some ice cream!! 😉

Get Well Soon!

For this cute card, I used my tag from Day 8 of #thedailymarker30day and completed this sweet Lawn Fawn card. It has already gone postal! 🙂

hawkins_jill_get well soon_wmI used Lawn Fawn’s Get Well Soon cutie set. 😉

hawkins_jill_get well soon_00_wmI loosely watercolored everything with Distress Inks. Finished it up with some Wink of Stella sparkle, googley eyes (googley eyese make everything better!), stitching, some patterned paper and Lawn Trimmings (that I re-purposed from a package Lawn Fawn sent awhile back.) 🙂 The tag die is from My Favorite Things.

The current Lawnscaping Challenge is a Mood Board!! Check out all the fun HERE!

Thanks for stopping by–have a great week!

Greeting from Chicago!

I have been super excited to get this Hero Arts stamp set since I first saw it. 🙂 Then, Ellen Hutson had a sale, it was in stock, and bam! It landed in my mailbox. Funny how that works, right? 🙂

hawkins_jill_chicago_wmThis little set is awesome and also delightful because: Wrigley! More to come with it for sure. Fun stuff by Kelly Purkey/Hero Arts!! 🙂  I did make another card already, and then proceeded to smear ink on it. Ugh! #toolateatnight … So, I need to remake that one another day. 😉

hawkins_jill_chicago_00_wmThought it would be fun to use the Chicago flag as inspiration. The hearts I used are from THIS die set, All Inside, by Julie Ebersole/Ellen Hutson. The stitched border die is the Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX from My Favorite Things. Definitely wear this STAX out! 🙂

That’s all from Chicagoland today! Looking forward to more fun from this set! 🙂
