Hey hey! Happy Friday! Happy Early Mother’s Day to everyone celebrating this weekend!
Today’s card is made with this fun new set from the Paper Smooches MAY release. For this card, I used the New Beginnings stamp set (that elephant ❤ !) and the New Beginnings Icons Dies!
I mean, goodness, he’s cute! 🙂
For this card, I just masked off these rays/stripes and blended on some Distress Inks. I can’t recall for sure, but I’m guessing I used Carved Pumpkin and Spiced Marmalade? I colored this cutie elephant with Copic markers, and heat embossed this sentiment from the same stamp set. I adhered all the mortarboards and drew on tassels. I added some white spatters afterward to give it a celebratory feel–pow! I thought this one was fun to highlight your graduate!
Plus, I went to the University of Illinois for my undergrad degree, so I had to use the Orange and Blue. Go Illini! 😉
Next up, I thought I’d share this sweet little card using the same stamp set.
I kept this one very simple with just some stamping, vellum, and stitching. I love these simple cards! 🙂
Be sure you’re following the Paper Smooches blog, and please stop by here again! I’ll be back with more cards to share this month, and I”m hoping I get those posts written soon! 🙂
Have a great weekend!

So be sure to drop everyone some ❤ along the way for more chances to win. Details and the full blog list can be found on the Lil’ Inker Blog HERE.
I was fortunate to receive this great Lil’ Inker stamp while on an awesome crafty retreat earlier this month. It is such a beautiful sentiment, and I love the way it owns a card! Therefore, I decided to just give it a pretty rainbow backdrop and just let it shine. Literally. Because I heat embossed it. 😉
Gah! How awesome is that stamp? Geesh! ❤ I keep thinking this would look sweet in a frame. 🙂 Might have to do that!
For the background, I masked off stripes and blended Distress Inks on, one by one. I love how vibrant they turned out. I was thinking I’d add a few spatters to this, but in the end, I wanted to maintain the crisp feel that resulted. It’s a pretty simple technique, but it gives a POW, and it almost looks like patterned paper. What do you think?
Here’s are the two stamps, that along with a few others, are being released today:
The next stop on the hop is the always creating Heather Hoffman! I’m sure Heather’s project will be fantastic! Be sure to hop on–sure to be amazing projects to see! 🙂

Happy Saturday! Last night I stayed up and made this colorful card to join in the Ellen Hutson April Pin-Sights Challenge! I think I’ve missed the last couple challenges over there, and I was so happy to sit and make a card for this one.
I made a purple deer! 🙂 I can’t wait to get this in the mail today. ❤
For this card, I blended on some Distress Inks, and then stamped over them with white ink. I stamped and die cut all these pieces, added a few spatters and stitching, and voila! I’m still impressed I voluntarily used purple. Sometimes purple needs some love too. 😉
For this card, I used Ellen Hutson’s Oh Deer stamps and dies AND one of my new favorites: Wonky Backdrops! I always enjoy Julie Ebersole’s designs. Gah!
Check out the challenge HERE and join in! You can see I was inspired by the soft colors 🙂
Thanks for stopping by! Have a fantastic weekend!!
Happy April! It’s no joke that there are lots new stamps and dies from Technique Tuesday today! They can be found HERE!
This new Mother’s Day set, Flowers for Mom, is simple and fun to use! I love this flower! ❤ ! And I have a difficult time using flowers, so this is a big win for me!
I colored these with Prismacolor colored pencils after heat embossing the images.
Love the simplicity. There is also a great die, Flowers for Mom die (check it out HERE) that will be fun to use in conjunction with this set and several others. ❤
I made this next card with the new Memory Keeper’s stamp set, Priceless. It’s got lots of stampy goodness included.
For this card, I masked off the border and used Distress Inks to watercolor, Patiently waiting for it to dry is the hardest part. I want to keep messing with the colors and moving them around. But the trick is to stop and let it DRY! 🙂 I used foam tape to pop up the middle of this sentiment banner, giving it a bowed look. I made this card to give for Mom’s day too. Moms are truly priceless. 🙂
Be sure to check out the new stuff from Technique Tuesday HERE! I am looking forward to making a few more things to share later this month 🙂
Wishing you a BRIGHT April!! Thanks for stopping by! ❤
Happy (Technique) Tuesday! The new Technique Tuesday release can be found HERE!
I soooooo enjoy THIS new set from Technique Tuesday called Sassy Family. I think sometimes a sentiment is all you need for a card. With two of these cards below, I did just that:
I would never ignore a call. 🙂
For this card, I stamped in orange and heat embossed it clear. Then I added some patterned papers and some stitching to keep it simple.
This sentiment, I find particularly hilarious and OH SO TRUE! 🙂 I scored the paper on this card before adding watercolor with Distress Inks. I was hoping the ink would pool up in the creases, but no such luck. It’s always an experiment with watercolor!
And of course, this sentiment above about the bathroom and silence, is my FAVORITE of this set. I just think is so funny and SO TRUE!! 🙂 I think I might have one last sentiment to ink from this set? Otherwise, I’ve used them all. Such fun!
Don’t forget to check out the new stuff from Technique Tuesday HERE! Happy March!

Puntastic! This card makes me laugh! Who doesn’t love and avoid “steamed veges”? Haaaaa! 🙂
I used Lawn Fawn’s Rooting for You stamp set. 😉
I also used faces from the Milk and Cookies set and the Donut Worry set. I needed *steamed* faces. Haaaaa! 🙂
I actually thought to make TWO cards at once this time, hence, here is the second. The only difference is the stitching. I couldn’t decide. Not much of a difference, but since I was doing the photos, I took both. 🙂
I used Harold’s ABCs for the sentiment. I cannot tell you how long these cards took me to make! 🙂 I’m not even sure why they took sooo long. *rolls eyes at self*. Still laughing though–SO worth it. 🙂
Also, I used the arrow from the Wish You Were Here die set! Perfecto!
(The stitched Rectangle die is from My Favorite Things. Blueprints!! 🙂 )
The current Lawnscaping Challenge is Punny!! I absolutely HAD to get in on that! 🙂 So glad I made it! Punny gets me every time. 🙂 Check out all the fun HERE!
Thanks for stopping by! 😉

I sat down and messed up a few things. Then, I saw this unfinished project on my desk from the #thedailymarker30day …whooot! I thought, perfecto! 🙂 I’ll wrap this ditty up!
This card looks so vibrant in person, yet I cannot capture it on camera. Why is it so hard? *Rolls eyes*. 🙂
I used Distress Inks and blended them on. And then Lawn Fawn’s Quinn’s ABCs to emboss over top. (This set is WELL loved here.) I was pleasantly surprised how this turned out. Because, after all, I used some purple. Haaaa! 🙂
The Stitched Rectangle die is from My Favorite Things. Blueprints!! 🙂
Thanks for stopping by–and I always thank you for dropping comments. So many kind words left here, and I appreciate them all. 🙂
The busy summer rolls on here for another week! SO glad it does. And I’ll need a nap when summer break is over. 🙂
