Summer of Stamping from Ellen Hutson

I’m popping in today to share another card using the new Summer of Stamping set It’s a Jungle Β  from Ellen Hutson. I always enjoy the EH Summer of Stamping, and this year is no exception. You can find all the New Ellen Hutson Summer of Stamping Release HERE.

My card here today uses the new It’s a Jungle and It’s a Jungle dies to create this card. I really wanted to use the sentiment in the set that says “The Tribe Has Spoken”, so I’m going to need to do that one soon too. πŸ™‚

For this card, I masked off this area and blended on Distress Oxide inks. I love how smooth those backgrounds always turn out! I stamped and colored a bunch of the different elements in this set and then just tinkered around layouts using different ones. The perk of this is that I still have pieces to use that are already colored. πŸ™‚

Tropic it like it’s hot–Too funny! I finished this card off with a few splatters of paint and some simple stitching and voila! This is a fun one to pop in the mail to a friend.

**If you missed my post earlier this week, be sure to click HERE and pop over to see THOSE cards. Lots more to see there too! πŸ™‚

Today: Over At Neat & Tangled!

Happy Friday! Today I’m over at Neat & Tangled again to share my second card as May Guest Designer.Β  Hooray–I so enjoyed making these cards to share! ❀

I’m sharing this card I made with Neat & Tangled’s Birch Leaf Die and No Words, designed by Miriam Prantner. So good, MP! πŸ™‚

This sentiment is a fave of mine for cards like this. I really dislike making sympathy cards, but this sentiment often rings so true for my personal sentiments.

Be sure to hop over to Neat & Tangled today to see my full post about how I made this card. You can find that post HERE.

If you missed my first post earlier this month, you can find that one HERE.

Thank you again, Neat & Tangled–looking forward to sharing again next week! πŸ™‚

Wishing you all a wonderful LONG weekend ahead here in the US!

May Guest over at Neat & Tangled!

Hello Crafty Friends! Fun news to share to today, as I am the May Guest Designer over at Neat & Tangled! I could not be MORE excited to be joining their amazing designers this month! Huge thanks to Danielle! And to my friend Miriam, who incidentally costs me a lot of moola. πŸ˜‰ ❀

My first card this month features Elena Roussakis’s cutie little set, Jump for Joy!Β  When I saw this squirrel, I swear my heart leaped with delight! (My friend Lisa will vouch for my complete love of this set! ❀ ) He is just the stinkin’ cutest! I absolutely had to use him straightaway this month.

Be sure to hop over to Neat & Tangled today to see my full post about how I made this card. You can find that post HERE.

Thank you again, Neat & Tangled–looking forward to sharing more this month! πŸ™‚

See you Later, Alligator!

Hope you had a great weekend! Ours was great here, but of course, too fast as always. πŸ˜‰

I thought I’d pop in and share these cute little Neat & Tangled critters I colored with Copic Markers. The best part is, they made it onto CARDS already!! πŸ™‚

This card is made with Neat & Tangled’s new Later Alligator and coordinating Dies. I also used N&T’s previously released Polygon Stencil with some Distress Oxide inks. πŸ™‚ I cannot handle the cuteness of that tiny little frog! My son is going to love getting this one! πŸ™‚

Next up, I used the cute little fox, So Foxy! Coordinating dies HERE.

I colored him gray with Copics and added him on top of some Lawn Fawn Really Rainbow Paper Pad paper. Gah, cutest little fox! ❀

I also used Neenah white cardstock, as always, for both! πŸ™‚

If you haven’t seen it, Neat & Tangled is hosting another Throwdown: Crafting with Compassion.

There could not be a better idea in my mind, so I wanted to join in on it. I also thought it completely worthy to purchase this Celebrate You stamp set, as all the proceeds are “being donated to the Burning Limb Foundation to help patients at the Neurologic Relief Center receive care for Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS).” You can find all the info HERE.

A charity that matters to me is the American Cancer Society. Not only is it a cause close to my family’s heart, but is is a cause that my friend and her family help to raise money for every year. My friend and her family have run the Chicago Marathon seven years over, to raise money for the ACS in memory of her brother. This year, my friend is running the New York City Marathon for the American Cancer Society DetermiNATION Team. In the past, I have sold my cards to help raise just a little more money for her. πŸ™‚ She is a rockstar in my book! ❀

Help spread the word for a worthy cause close to you! Join in HERE. ❀

Wishing you all a wonderful week ahead! πŸ™‚

Ellen Hutson’s New Release!

I’m popping in today to share the fun NEW RELEASE from Ellen Hutson! So. Many. Cool. Letters! (and lovely flowers!)Gah! I love clean fonts and this release is chock full! Check out this card I made with this fun new set calledΒ ESSENTIALS BY ELLEN DESIGNER DIES, Block Words by Julie Ebersole. Julie’s fantastic strikes again! You all have been warned! πŸ™‚

Gah! So fun and easy to use these new little words! I just die cut them and then used some Press N Seal wrap to hold the letters in their places while I added a dab of glue to the back of them. Then when you adhere them down, the spacing is all correct and they are ready to roll!!

I used Candied Apple and Worn Lipstick colored Distress Oxide ink pads to blend on inks over the super awesome Altenew Stencil called Cube Builder. I also used Mustard Seed Distress Ink. πŸ™‚ My geometric loving self has been wanting this stencil since I first laid eyes on it. I mean, how cool is that?! πŸ™‚

I then had to make another personalized card and the new Classic Block Alpha by Julie Ebersole set makes quick work of that! Such a great blocky/bold font. ❀ ! I combined these letters with the small gingham backdrop from the NEW Plaid Maker stamp set. (<–Fun set! I have three plaids on my desk waiting to be cards! πŸ™‚

To polish it off, I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear confetti bits , some stitching and some scoring! Voila!

So fun! Looking forward to giving this card to a teacher soon! πŸ™‚

Be sure to check out all the fun new products released today over at Ellen Hutson HERE! Have a great Sunday!

Thanks for stopping by!

Take care– Jill πŸ™‚

Hugs to Send

There’s a new Color Trends Pin-Sights Challenge over on Ellen Hutson–check it out!

While I am not a purple fan, per say, I do really enjoy the colors of these succulents, so that’s what I ran with for inspiration. Here’s my card:

I used different colored Distress Oxide ink pads to smoosh on the stamp and then I stamped repeatedly. I white heat embossed the sentiment, and finished it off with a lot of stitching. πŸ™‚

I made this card using two of my favorite Ellen Hutson’s sets: Wonky Backdrops and All Inside (sentiment). I added some Pretty Pink Posh Confetti...and as you can see, because of the glue, the top one took on the ink underneath and it turned the whole thing pinkish. Ha!! Overnight. Who knew?

I hope you have time to jump in on this current EH Challenge too! Thanks for stopping by!

Take care– Jill πŸ™‚

Rerun with Winnie and Walter!

Hi All! I’m excited to share in the fun over on the Winnie & Walter Blog today, HERE.

Last weekend I was crafting my little heart out with some friends, old and new. Great fun! Admittedly, I did not make many cards, but I have lots of pieces to do so now! πŸ˜‰

Anywho–Winnie and Walter gifted us some very cool products that I cannot wait to use! The best part is I spent the weekend laughing again with ShayΒ  ❀ . Shay is delightful and I adore her sense of humor SO much! πŸ™‚

OK, on with the card for their current Rerun Challenge, yes?

Wow! This Welcome to the Family with Evelin T Designs set is HUGE! So many cute little critters in it and sweet sentiments. AND it’s on SALE! Head over to the W&W Blog for info on that AND a giveaway!

I started with a completely different plan and then ended up with this! πŸ™‚ I also used W&W’s Sketchy Thoughts set. Which, incidentally, might be my favorite Winnie & Walter set of all time. ❀

I used the block stamps and masked off the dimensional part so as to create a frame that I stamped three times, stacking them on each other. I then masked off the “frames” and stamped the bears in those! Cuties! I was loving the black and white, so I refrained from coloring them. I knew it needed something though. Hence, I decided to do more masking with post-it tape and added some Distress Oxide Inks stripes. ( I used THIS W&W stencil, Rugby Stripes this past weekend, and it would be awesome for this!Β  I need to order one, big time!) I was so happy I didn’t smear it or anything. #sweat ! This could have been a one layer card! But I was already using a panel, so let’s call it a *one off* layer card, shall we? πŸ˜‰

(Distress Oxide Colors I used: Candied Apple, Spiced Marmalade, and Fossilized Amber)

Be sure to check out Winnie and Walter’s blog HERE to learn more about this challenge and the discount on ordering this set!Β  Love when you can save some extra money to use on other sets too! Haaahaaa! πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰

Thank you, Shay, for including me along for this fun! And for all the lovely W&W goodies! Eeeeep! You know the way to a crafty’s heart! ❀

Take care–Jill πŸ™‚

You Are a Rare Find!

Hello and happy ALMOST weekend! I’m off having an awesome time with some crafty friends today, but thought I’d pop in to share one SUPER FUN Paper Smooches card!

Oh my word! This card is a favorite! πŸ™‚ I just think this combo is a delight! ❀ how this came together!

For the background of this card, I masked an area and just blended on some Distress Oxide Inks and added some spatters. Seems to be my 2018 thing to do. πŸ˜‰ I added the little Wavy Pattern hill and my Copic colored little astronaut and dino. I finished it all off with the Teeny Stars, stamped sentiment and stitching. Eeeeeep! Just love it so! πŸ™‚

For this card, I used these fun Paper Smooches products: Space Cadet, Huge Hugs, Huge Hugs Icon dies, Wavy Pattern dies, Teeny Star dies, Magical Sampler.

I am really looking forward to tucking this one into my son’s lunchbox one day! πŸ™‚

Thank you for stopping by! Have a fantastic weekend!

Technique Tuesday Release Day!

The day has come for all the new Technique Tuesday March products to be available HERE! Hoooooray! AND I get to share my favorite card from this release! ❀

(If you missed my post Tuesday, click HERE. If you missed my post yesterday, catch up on that one HERE!)

As I said, this is my favorite card, because I am always a huge fan of the laughs the Sassy sets bring me! πŸ™‚ This card was made with the new Technique Tuesday stamp set: Sassy Love Your Guts. And the coordinating dies for this stamp set are HERE.

I mean, if this sentiment does say I love your guts, what does?! Haaaaa! I think it’s a riot! πŸ™‚

For the background of this card, I again blended on Distress Oxide inks and added some splatters. (Sensing a pattern this month, are you? LOL!) I colored the fun jellyfish with Zig Clean Color markers and white heat embossed the sentiment on a black piece of cardstock. I adhered all the jellies with foam tape for dimension, added a few sequins and stitched the panel down. I can’t wait to give this one to my husband. Bwaaaahaaahaa!

Be sure to head over the Technique Tuesday Blog HERE so you can link to the whole TT DT’s Sneaks! I imagine they are all pin worthy! πŸ™‚

Souper Soon!

We have a pretty good stack of snow here and it is currently snowing! I don’t mind if we have nowhere to go.. However, today we are heading out during a lull, I think? Ha! We’ll see! πŸ™‚

Anywho, I thought I share a card I colored with Copic Markers for The Daily Marker’s 30 Day Challenge yesterday! Day 26 already! Wow!

These little cuties are from Taylored Expressions called Souper Soon….and they make me smile! Hopefully this will cheer up someone who may need it! πŸ™‚

I think they are adorable, and of course, I had to add a couple of googley eyes. I created the background masking and using Distress Oxide Inks (Salted Ocean and Lucky Clover) and a black pen. I thought it turned out fun! πŸ™‚

I used both 80lb and 110lb Neenah white cardstock and stitched it all together. πŸ™‚

Alrighty, that’s all for today. Thanks for stopping by and I hope your weekend is warm and cozy!

Take care- Jill πŸ™‚
