Taco Tuesday… and then some!

I’m popping in today to share a couple more cards I made with the NEW RELEASE from Ellen Hutson! Cannot get enough of these letters– endless possibilities! ❀This first card, I made with the new Classic Block Alpha by Julie Ebersole . I am a big fan of clean fonts and this bold one is a winner. So I went Taco Tuesday all over this. My friend will get a laugh for sure! πŸ™‚ I created the background simply by stamping the dashed line from the Plaid Maker set repeatedly in different colors on the panel. I just used a stamp block, so it’s likely far from perfect, but it was fun to make. πŸ™‚

I added some stitching to a few letters for some detail and also to adhere the panel to the card base. Then I glued on a couple of stars and there we have it! Let There Be Tacos!!! I see myself yelling this like Oprah would. haaaa!

Next up, I whipped up this colorful number to thank a friend:

This card I made with the new set calledΒ ESSENTIALS BY ELLEN DESIGNER DIES, Block Words by Julie Ebersole.Β  Again, I created the background with theΒ  Plaid Maker stamp set…just one simple stamp can do so many cool patterns. πŸ™‚ The first part of the sentiment is a stamp from the newΒ Essentials By Ellen Clear Stamps, Totally Random Sayings Vol. 2 by Julie Ebersole.

To finish it off, I added some stitched lines with my machine.

So fun! Can’t wait to send these both in the mail!

Check out my previous post using these new goodies HERE. Let your imagination roll and create any sentiment you want…now I want a taco. That’s the downside. LOL!

Ellen Hutson’s New Release!

I’m popping in today to share the fun NEW RELEASE from Ellen Hutson! So. Many. Cool. Letters! (and lovely flowers!)Gah! I love clean fonts and this release is chock full! Check out this card I made with this fun new set calledΒ ESSENTIALS BY ELLEN DESIGNER DIES, Block Words by Julie Ebersole. Julie’s fantastic strikes again! You all have been warned! πŸ™‚

Gah! So fun and easy to use these new little words! I just die cut them and then used some Press N Seal wrap to hold the letters in their places while I added a dab of glue to the back of them. Then when you adhere them down, the spacing is all correct and they are ready to roll!!

I used Candied Apple and Worn Lipstick colored Distress Oxide ink pads to blend on inks over the super awesome Altenew Stencil called Cube Builder. I also used Mustard Seed Distress Ink. πŸ™‚ My geometric loving self has been wanting this stencil since I first laid eyes on it. I mean, how cool is that?! πŸ™‚

I then had to make another personalized card and the new Classic Block Alpha by Julie Ebersole set makes quick work of that! Such a great blocky/bold font. ❀ ! I combined these letters with the small gingham backdrop from the NEW Plaid Maker stamp set. (<–Fun set! I have three plaids on my desk waiting to be cards! πŸ™‚

To polish it off, I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear confetti bits , some stitching and some scoring! Voila!

So fun! Looking forward to giving this card to a teacher soon! πŸ™‚

Be sure to check out all the fun new products released today over at Ellen Hutson HERE! Have a great Sunday!

Hugs to Send

There’s a new Color Trends Pin-Sights Challenge over on Ellen Hutson–check it out!

While I am not a purple fan, per say, I do really enjoy the colors of these succulents, so that’s what I ran with for inspiration. Here’s my card:

I used different colored Distress Oxide ink pads to smoosh on the stamp and then I stamped repeatedly. I white heat embossed the sentiment, and finished it off with a lot of stitching. πŸ™‚

I made this card using two of my favorite Ellen Hutson’s sets: Wonky Backdrops and All Inside (sentiment). I added some Pretty Pink Posh Confetti...and as you can see, because of the glue, the top one took on the ink underneath and it turned the whole thing pinkish. Ha!! Overnight. Who knew?

I hope you have time to jump in on this current EH Challenge too! Thanks for stopping by!

How cute are these guys, weathering the storm? ❀

I made this card using Ellen Hutson’s super cute sets: Totally Random Sayings Vol. 1 by Julie Ebersole, Bear Ware (and dies) Bear Ware 2 (and dies). I also used Neat & Tangled’s Geometric Blooms stencil to add a smidge of background.

I watercolored these images with Distress Inks and added some stitching. πŸ™‚

I hope you have time to jump in on this current EH Challenge too! I’d love to sneak another one in, but that could be a pipe dream. Ha!

So Lucky to Call You Friend

I might be the only person excited about Springing the clocks ahead! My son gets up crazy early everyday, and this means that it isn’t quite as early (for the next six months or so), fingers crossed! πŸ™‚

Anyway, I’m popping in to share another card today. I whipped this one up last night using Ellen Hutson’s super cute new set: So Matcha by Julie Ebersole. Julie does it again! ❀

This set is just darling–that’s the best word for it! I colored everything with Copic markers and fussy cut out the images. I stamped the background with a Hero Arts Ombre Pool to Navy pad to create the light to dark on the bamboo. πŸ™‚

As always, I finished this cutie lil’ number off with some simple stitching and Voila!

Looking forward to mailing this very soon! I have a large stack to sit down and address!

Thank you to Ellen Hutson for gifting us these cute sets at our recent crafty get-together! So sweet of you to share your goodness! πŸ™‚

Thanks so much for stopping by again today! Enjoy your Sunday! πŸ™‚

You are Crafty and Kind!

Hello! I’m popping in tonight to share a card I finally made! I tinkered around with these die cuts for quite some time, and then this happened. Ha!

If you look at it,Β  you can see it is wonky right? I’m thinking I should have left two more “triangles” out to make it less awkward overall. Arranging them this way doesn’t quite make a complete “star”. There isn’t quite enough room. πŸ˜‰ But it is what it is and nothing is coming off now, since it’s all stitched down! πŸ™‚

I looooove this Essentials by Ellen Silver Linings die and I was hoping to do something more with it too. But wow, has time been elusive! I usually craft in late evenings after all of everything, but lately I’ve had so many other things. It’ll pass hopefully! I need that time back to make stuff and exercise that part of my brain. I always feel better. πŸ™‚

I super enjoy this fun sentiment from this Essential by Ellen set: Crafty Ladies Say.

I wanted to participate in the latest Ellen Hutson’s Pin-sights Challenge! I so dig this color inspiration and yet, I feel that I didn’t quite capture it fully. Things went a different direction that I initially planned! Doesn’t that happen often or what?! Haaaaa!

Check it out and join in! There’s still a few days to jump in!Β  πŸ™‚

I’ll be back tomorrow morning with another FEW cards! ❀

Thanks for stoppin’ in!

Beary Best!

Good Morning! Happy Saturday!

Today, I am sharing this card I finished late last night using Essentials by Ellen Bear Ware 2. How cute is this little Snowman Bear? Gah! (I thought I had the dies, but I guess not? Ha! So I fussy cut the snowbears out. πŸ˜‰ )

I colored them last night with Copic Markers for The Daily Marker’s 30 Day Challenge and then popped them on a card. (Check out that Challenge HERE! Kathy is FABULOUS!)

Let me just say, I think this is the most purple I have used in years! LOL! Also, this card is BUSY! It’s a little too busy for me, but I still think it’s too cute to not share. πŸ™‚

For the sentiment on this card, I used EH’s Warm Fuzzies stamp set. (I heat embossed it.) That set is a super fave of mine! ❀

For the background of this card, I used my friend Miriam’s Neat & Tangle stencil, Rice Paddies. There is so much detail on that stencil, it can be used for awesome things! πŸ™‚ I used Wilted Violet Oxide ink. I also stamped the little dots from EH’s Abstract Paint Strokes.

To finish off this card, I added some Neat & Tangled sequins (Thank you, N&T!) and some stitching.

I used all the purples and violets to participate in Ellen Hutson’s Pinsight Challenge! It’s been awhile, so I am happy to participate again–dig the EH Challenges!

Check it out and join in! I think there is still a bunch of time to play along! πŸ™‚

Have a great weekend! Jill πŸ™‚
