Bear Hugs!

Popping in tonight to share my little bears! I stitched four in one day. Holiday travel = stitching! It’sĀ  fun like that. (I did some other top-secret stitching that I will share in the future as well. wink wink!)

My Mother-in-Law made two, and my son made one cutie! Such fun! This bear is the Essentials by Ellen Bear Hugs! I’m telling you, Julie Ebersole and her designs are trouble! As if I didn’t love this All Inside Bear and coordinating dies enough, this little guy then stole my crafty lil’ heart! šŸ™‚The above four are the ones I made. I love the oatmeal one the best… or maybe the white one? Well, that Heathered PInk and Gray is pretty awesome too. Well, I love them all! šŸ™‚

The two darker colored ones, my Mother-in-Law stitched up. She always makes things like this flawless. (Don’t look at mine too closely please. šŸ™‚ ) My son stitched up the little blue one in the middle. His arm is a little wonky, but I did help him with those, so that is definitely on me. He said he liked it that way. ā¤ So I left it.

And this little photo is just funny because they are all in a line up apparently!Ā  Holding their little hearts while taking potential criminal photos? LOL.

Thanks for stopping by!

Take care! Jill šŸ™‚

Some NEW Ellen Hutson FUN!

I am way excited to share a couple of cards I made for the new Essentials by Ellen Release! It’s always so fun to see their new releases! Eeeeeeep! #mayormaynotalwayswantitALL šŸ™‚

This first card I made with the new: Leading Ladies – Photo Lady by Brandi Kincaid

This sentiment is from: Totally Random Sayings Vol. 1 by Julie Ebersole. (awesome set!)

(This name includes “Volume 1″….this may be insinuating there is going to be another volume? Oh goodness. Note to self: Start saving! šŸ™‚ )

How much do I love this lady’s shoes?! A LOT! Such fun!! I colored all these ladies shoes with Copics. I added some black and white striped washi to the card base and some stitching to the panel to complete the card. This is a fave!! šŸ™‚

For my next card, I used: Abstract Paint Strokes by Julie Ebersole.Ā

This set is CRAZY versatile!! I love these kind of sets because the possibilities are endless!

This sentiment is also from: Totally Random Sayings Vol. 1 by Julie Ebersole.

I thought this was a fun take on a holiday card of trees! Paint Strokes to trees! Fun fun!

I stamped these with various Lawn Fawn and Hero Arts inks, heat embossed the sentiment and added a couple more gray cardstock strips. I finished it all off with some stitching and white gel pen details. šŸ™‚

Here’s a better look at the whole set: Abstract Paint Strokes by Julie Ebersole

Here’s this sentiment set:Ā  Totally Random Sayings Vol. 1 by Julie Ebersole. And lastly, the Leading Lady Photo Lady by Brandi Kincaid:

Greeting from Chicago!

I have been super excited to get this Hero Arts stamp set since I first saw it. šŸ™‚ Then, Ellen Hutson had a sale, it was in stock, and bam! It landed in my mailbox. Funny how that works, right? šŸ™‚

hawkins_jill_chicago_wmThis little set is awesome and also delightful because: Wrigley! More to come with it for sure. Fun stuff by Kelly Purkey/Hero Arts!! šŸ™‚Ā  I did make another card already, and then proceeded to smear ink on it. Ugh! #toolateatnight … So, I need to remake that one another day. šŸ˜‰

hawkins_jill_chicago_00_wmThought it would be fun to use the Chicago flag as inspiration. The hearts I used are from THIS die set, All Inside, by Julie Ebersole/Ellen Hutson. The stitched border die is the Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX from My Favorite Things. Definitely wear this STAX out! šŸ™‚

That’s all from Chicagoland today! Looking forward to more fun from this set! šŸ™‚
