Ellen Hutson’s: 12 Days of TAGS!

Today, I am helping to celebrate the 12 Days of Tags withย Ellen Hutson and it couldn’t be more fun! I love holiday tags! Well, full disclosure, I just love tags period. ๐Ÿ™‚

(If you are looking for my Taylored Expressions post, please click HERE.๐Ÿ˜Š )

As I’m sure you’ve gathered, I naturally gravitate to using Julie Ebersoleโ€™sย  Sweetย Surprises setย  and (Sweet Surprises Dies). I colored the little bear with Copic Markers and then die cut him and his candy cane with the Sweet Surprises Dies. He needed someone to look after him, so I used original Bear from ย All Inside (All Inside Dies)ย and all his accoutrements from Bear Ware 2.

This sentiment is from Tag It-Christmas and the tag I used is from the awesomeย  Farmhouse Tags set. I created the polka dot background using the Wonky Backgrounds set (essential!) and used strips of scrap cardstock to create the stripes. I think this turned out oh so cute! These little bears get me every time!

(This little bear is the teeny tiny version of All Inside (All Inside Dies).)

Here are all the details from Ellen Hutson to get in on the fun:

This year, we askedย 24 talented designersย to create a tag inspired by a favorite Christmas carol. Their clever โ€“ and sometimes humorous โ€“ tags are sure to inspire. But their awesome tags are only half the fun; we always look forward to seeing what our designersโ€™ tags inspireย YOUย to make, and we welcome you to join the fun by creating tags inspired by each dayโ€™s song (with a chance toย win a shopping spree at ellenhutson.comย to boot)!

Here’s a link to the wholeย  Winter Release from Ellen Hutson.

More Fun with Ellen Hutson’s Winter Release!

In case you missed it, Ellen Hutson has a new Winter Release available now and its packed with holiday and winter goodness! So fun! Hopefully you have seen some projects out and about on the interwebs.

Today, I’m sharing a card using the newย Sending Holiday Cheerย  set by Julie Ebersole and Holly Jolly Christmas by Julie, as well as the previously released A2 Piercing Plate 2. The Fa La La & Tree are from the Holly Jolly set–stamp and Holly Jolly Die.

How FUNNY is THIS? The snarky sentiment is from Sending Holiday Cheer— I kinda wanted to cross out the “Just Kidding” to make it even more snarky, but I refrained. ๐Ÿ˜‚

I used the A2 Piercing Plate 2 to create the background about the scored lines, giving it some subtle texture. Then Iย stamped the stars with Golden Glitz Delicata. To finish it off, I added some zig zag stitching.

I’m looking forward to making more with the new Winter Release from Ellen Hutson! ย I’ve been under the weather here myself, but look forward to getting back to all the things ASAP!

*Please note that the gift is automatically added to qualifying orders/while supplies last.

If you missed my previous post from last week, check that out HERE because it is another funny sweet card there.

Ellen Hutson’s Winter Release!

Today the Winter Release from Ellen Hutson is available and it is SNOW much fun! There is a little something for everyone to create with in this one, for sure! ๐Ÿ™‚ And there is a FREE GIFT with qualifying purchases–see the end of my post for details.

Naturally, the first set I had to use was Julie Ebersoleโ€™s new Sweetย Surprises setย  and (Sweet Surprises Dies). Because: Bear. I stamped and die cut a bunch of these sweet surprises out to color with Copic Markers. I then die cut them all with the Sweet Surprises Dies.

Of course, once I saw this sentiment in the Sending Holiday Cheer by Julie Ebersole (Julie: Again!! ๐Ÿค)ย  stamp set, well, that was that. Haaaaa! The little bear was going in upside down! Poor guy ๐Ÿ˜Š–But this is my current mood too, so it’s perfect! Double ha!! It’s fine. We’re Fine. Everything is fine. ๐Ÿ˜‚

(This little bear is the teeny tiny version of my little buddy from one of my all time faves: All Inside (All Inside Dies).)

I created the tone on tone snowflake background with the new die set called Snowflake Die set (go figure ๐Ÿ˜Š) I have found that I am a bit of a snowflake snob over the years… that one is too pointy, that one is too intricate, etc. etc…. BUT THESE– โคโคโค!! I love their simplistic shapes and that they are all the same. Which I know is counterintuitive to the nature of a snowflake and all, but there is something about having them all be the same and available in different sizes that is VERY appealing. Plus, I like their rounded tips. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I added some stitching to those and wammo! All set!

I am definitely enjoying this whole new Winter Release from Ellen Hutson and I hope you are too! I will be back this weekend with more to share! ๐Ÿ™‚ I can’t wait! I need a week off to create with these fun goodies. ๐Ÿ™‚

*Please note that the gift is automatically added to qualifying orders/while supplies last.

Another WCMD card using the new Ellen Hutson set!

I hope you didn’t miss World Card Making Day this past Saturday! I Ellen Hutson has thisย  ย super newย  setย  called Bear Ware Grand Tour andย  more! This card of course uses the new Bear Ware Grand Tour set (and coordinating dies). And I also used the new Planet Surface dies to create the little world he is sitting on.

Ciao bella! This time, he is in Italy, or just come from there, maybe more likely. ๐Ÿ™‚ So fun! ๐Ÿ™‚ He brought his pasta along too… teehee!

Once again, I colored everything with Copic Markers and die cut them all out. This time he had to hold the Leaning Tower of Pisa and his little camera! ๐Ÿ™‚ I die cut the Planet Surface and then used the A2 Piercing Plate 2 to give it some extra texture. I created the background using the previously releasedย Nordic Cross Cover and added some stitching to finish off the fun! Ciao ciao ciao! โค

You can find the new World Card Making Day release HERE with the Bear Ware Grand Tour and Planet Surface dies available.

If you missed my post on Saturday, please find that one HERE!ย  Too cute! ๐Ÿ™‚

Celebrating WCMD with Ellen Hutson today!

Today is World Card Making Day! I don’t know about you, but this is a fun day! I seem to always be busy doing something that doesn’t involve cardmaking, but I’m hoping 2021 is my year to celebrate in true form! And let me tell you,ย Ellen Hutson has just the set to enjoy a smile today! I ADORE this set! ๐Ÿ™‚And on with my card! ๐Ÿ™‚

This is the new set released today for WCMD: Bear Ware Grand Tour set (and coordinating dies). Gahhhhhh! I squealed when I opened my mailbox and then yelped when I opened the envelope. It is TOO MUCH! ๐Ÿค๐Ÿค๐Ÿค I was so excited. First up, a little buddy for All Inside (and All Inside Dies) and then he (and really THEY) have all these new things to use and hold. I love!

I colored everything with Copic Markers and die cut them all out. I love to have a little pile of fun to choose from in order to create. I kept everything else very simple blending on a faint background after masking and then added a few splats. I mean, he is holding the London Tower and the Eifel Tower, like stuffies. TOO cute and fun! ๐Ÿ™‚

I’ll be back again in a couple days with another card featuring this new Bear Ware Grand Tour set AND other new set Planet Surface and the previously released Nordic Cross Cover and A2 Piercing Plate 2. If I’m super lucky, I’ll be back again before that with another card I made today! ๐Ÿ™‚ Let’s hope the day is a fun one to create for everyone. โค

You can find the new World Card Making Day release HERE with the Bear Ware Grand Tour and Planet Surface dies available. I’m off to the shop the 20% off sale at Ellen Hutson myself HERE!

More Projects with the EH FALL Release!

I’m back using some more Fall goodness from the Ellen Hutson Fall Release! I hope you have had a chance to see all the projects on Instagram and the Ellen Hutson blog using the new Fall Release! I have enjoyed them and need to peruse more because there are so many I have yet to see, I’m sure. ๐Ÿ™‚

First up today, I am sharing these cards using the new Pumpkin Season (and dies). I want to decorate with all the pumpkin things NOW! But it is still 90 degrees here today…. seems wrong. Ha! So I will make cards instead. These are very basic, but I enjoy that sometimes so I can make more of them and send them out. ๐Ÿ™‚

For the background, I used the new Nordic Cross Cover and I’m a super fan of this die. I can safely say I will be using it a lot. A LOT.

The Pumpkin Season set comes with both a solid pumpkin stamp and an outline pumpkin stamp. I actually used both for these pumpkins before die cutting them out after. A few different shades of colors and done. ๐Ÿ™‚

Next up, I have these fun little treats using the new Bat Hugger die. I wanted to make a candy corn bat with little black feet, so this was fun. I also used the new A2 Piercing Plate to give everything a little extra texture.

AND naturally, some googley eyes! ๐Ÿ™‚ I am planning to make a banner using the bats, so hopefully I get that done before Halloween and can come back and share. ๐Ÿ™‚

And lastly, I have some Holiday Treats! I think these would be super fun in all the colors, so that’ll be another one I hope to get to before Christmas–we’ll see! ๐Ÿ™‚ These are super easy to make with the new Pyramid Box Die. Two passes through the die cut machine and quick assembly to hold treats, cash (who doesn’t love cash in a pyramid?) and so much more. Or just to decorate. ๐Ÿ™‚

I hope you have enjoy the new Fall Release from Ellen Hutson too! It’s always such a fun one! Check it the entire Ellen Hutson Fall Release HERE!

OH and if you missed my post last week–check that out HERE. A few more Halloween projects–too fun!!

Thanks again for stopping by!

Ellen Hutson New FALL Release!

Exciting day today over at Ellen Hutson–It’s the EBE Fall Release! I loooooooooooooooove this release every year and I’m so glad to be able to share little bits of it with you. AND before I forget, I’ll be back with some other projects in a few days… Two words: Holiday Trees. Yup. With the Fall Release! ๐Ÿ™‚

This release is full of super fun goodies designed by both Julie and Heather, so you know it is trouble! The GOOD kind, of course. ๐Ÿค๐Ÿค

First up, I had to use two new sets and one of my favorite all time EH little guys. ๐Ÿ™‚ This card uses the new sweet little Witch from Halloween Boo-quet (and dies) and Halloween Treat Bags, as well as the long time fave All Insideย  (and dies HERE). They are all besties!

For the bold star background, I used the new Essential Stars and new A2 Piercing Plate 2. Which is a fun one for subtle texture. <3!

I colored them with Copic Markers and gave a little scoring and stitching to the background. I wanted to give a few ink splatters too, but I adhered everyone in first and there was no going back! Ha! I do this often–anyone else? ๐Ÿ™‚

Next up, I have fun making these tags and of course, as usual, I wish I had a dozen more! These use the new Halloween Treat Bags again and also the new Tag It-Halloween. These NEW Farmhouse Tags are extra fun and come in a die set of three different shapes. THESE you NEED! Just sayin.

Oh my goodness–I love tags. I love fall. and I love little treat bags! So this is the best!

This little ghost above is definitely my fave! I love a smiling ghost. ๐Ÿ‘ป๐Ÿ‘ป

And there are some fun treat wrappers ahead too. I will post more about them in a few days, but here’s a little sneak! I plan to also make a Halloween banner with them! The die is called Bat Hugger.

Maybe one more card to share today? Ok. ๐Ÿ™‚

This one uses the new Halloween Boo-quet again, with a blended background of Distress Oxide Inks: Hickory Smoke, Squeezed Lemonade, Carved Pumpkin, Spun Sugar and Fossilized Amber. I decided to use all the individual dies in the Halloween Boo-quet die set and create a fun little spray. These ghosts are too cute–and smiling!!

I also used the new Tiny Stars Background and backed it all up with some Silver Glitter cardstock. I left some of the little stars in, which was a fun little blip because my die cutting plates are so warped, it missed the center of the die. I took advantage ๐Ÿ˜‰

I also accidentally adhered her broom upside down, so apparently she is ready to start cleaning vs. flying? haaa! ๐Ÿ™‚ Oh it’s all too cute, “upside down” or not. ๐Ÿงก๐Ÿงก

I hope you enjoy the new Fall Release from Ellen Hutson as much as I do! I’ll be back again in a few days with the rest of my treats AND some Holiday Trees! That’s right, Holiday Trees with the Ellen Hutson Fall Release. ๐Ÿ™‚

You can find the entire Ellen Hutson Fall Release HERE! Happy shopping! ๐Ÿ™‚

Miss You!

Happy Weekend! Popping in super duper quick to share this fun card I made using the images from the Lawn Fawn/Ellen Hutson S’more the Merrier set that my friend Chari (Thank you, Chari! โค ) sent me to color for The Daily Marker 30 Day! We had a small gang of some coloring friends and we all stamped and swapped images to color throughout the month of July. I will have to post all the cards that came of the month on my blog sometime soon. It was so fun and a great way to stretch myself! ๐Ÿ™‚

Anyway…on with the card….

I blended on several different Distress Inks over the Taylored Expressions Circle Masking Stencil (HERE) and then added the images I fussy cut and colored with Copic Markers. I think it’s safe to say I never made a background like this and it was fun to make. Room to improve, but when isn’t there? ๐Ÿ™‚

Gah!! How cute are these little critters!? I used a much older sentiment set from Lawn Fawn for the speech bubble. You can find this cutie Lawn Fawn/Ellen Hutson S’more the Merrier set over at Ellen Hutson HERE. ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you to my friends Alyssa, Caren, Chari, Jen, Latisha and Lori for a FUN month of virtual crafting—coloring together from afar! โค
