Ellen Hutson’s New June Release!

Today, there is a fun NEW RELEASE from Ellen Hutson! eeeeeep! The Leading Ladies are quite lovely. When I saw the cute little accessories and little stamps Brandi Kincaid included in the sets, I found myself repeatedly stamping them. โคThis tiny little crab received all my attention in the newly released ESSENTIALS BY ELLEN DESIGNER DIES, LEADING LADIES – BEACH LADY BY BRANDI KINCAID! Ha! Such a fun summery set! ๐Ÿ™‚

How cute is this little crab?!! And I am a HUGE fan of Brandi’s other new set, ESSENTIALS BY ELLEN CLEAR STAMPS, PATTERN PLAY BY BRANDI KINCAID. Such sweet and playful little backgrounds! ๐Ÿ™‚

I colored him with Copic Markers. โค

Here’s another crabby card:

This one is so beachy!! ๐Ÿ™‚

Let’s Sea Where the Wind Takes Us! โค

And of course, I had to have a crab with the cute googlies! ๐Ÿ™‚ Again, I used another background from the afore mentioned set. I think I used all of them? LOL

And lastly, I decided to let the cute little crab rest, and bust out all the beachy accessories. ๐Ÿ™‚

Again, I colored all these with Copic Markers too. To polish it off, I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear confetti bits and some stitching.

I’m looking forward to mailing out these lil’ summer hellos!

Be sure to check out all the fun new products released today over at Ellen Hutson HERE! Have a great Sunday!

Thanks for stopping by!

Believe in Yourself!

There is a fun challenge over at Lawn Fawnatics–an inspiration board! I love this summery feel. ๐Ÿ™‚

You can check it out HERE.

When I saw this board, I kept thinking summer break!! I thought of our son and I wanted to make him a card to go along with all his end of the school year treat and summer books. Ha!!!

Anywho, I started out making this in the vein of a summery, bright background. Then, unbeknownst to me, I ended up with this galactic goodness. Ha!! So the result is a far stretch from the inspiration board, but this is where it took me. ๐Ÿ™‚

You’re a Star! tooooooo cute! ๐Ÿ™‚

For this card, I used Lawn Fawn’s stamps: Beam Me Up and the coordinating dies.ย  I colored everything with Copic Markers. I created the background loosely with Distress Oxide inks and water, letting it spill over the masked lines. At first I thought I’d toss the background, but then I was down with the blobs, so I finished it all off with some stitching and adhering all with foam tape. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I’m sure he’ll think these little guys are too fun! ๐Ÿ™‚

Be sure to check out the challenge and join in HERE! Fun fun!

Have a great rest of the week!

Thank you, Freshly Made Sketches Team :)

Good Morning! If you are looking for my Technique Tuesday June Release Preview post, please head over **HERE**!

Today is my final post as a Guest Designer over at Freshly Made Sketches! You can check out their great challenge blog HERE. HUGE thanks to the FMS Team for having me along this past month and being so kind and generous!

And here is this week’s sketch #339:

And here is my card for today! I used a soon to be released die from Technique Tuesday, called Strawberries on the Border die.ย  (<–This link will work on June 1st, when this die is available ๐Ÿ™‚ )

These strawberries look good enough to eat! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I die cut everything from different colored cardstocks. Then after drawing diagonal lines with a fine black pen and stamping the sentiment, I adhered down the negative die cut and inlaid everything. I finished off the card with a little stitching and twine, and done! ๐Ÿ™‚

The sentiment is from Technique Tuesday as well. It is from THIS fun set (Sassy Love Your Guts) HERE! ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you again to the FMS crew! I really enjoyed my time with you ladies and appreciate all your kindness! ๐Ÿ™‚ I hope to be sketchy again with you someday!

Take care– Jill ๐Ÿ™‚

Freshly Made Sketches Guest, #338 :)

Happy Wednesday to you! Once again, I’m over contributing with the Freshly Made Sketches crew! this week on a brand new sketch! Be sure to check out their great challenge blog HERE for lots of inspiration!

And here is this week’s sketch:

And here’s my card–perfect for a teacher! ๐Ÿ™‚

I die cut all the bits from different colored cardstocks and also from cork paper. Love that texture it gives to the pencil tip. ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I added some reverse scoring to the panel and finished it all off with some stitching. โค

This pencil is a super favorite of mine from PaperSmooches, appropriately called Pencil Dies. The sentiment is from a retired stamp set (Bosom Buddy), but I think this Many Thanks set can be used as substitute very smoothly, with lots of choices!

Crafty hugs to the FMS team, who has been so kind to me this month! Thank you, Ladies! ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

*Technique Tuesday and MISTI!* (pssst….Giveaway!)

Good Morning and Happy Weekend!! Today, we are having a fun blog hop between the My Sweet Petunia and Technique Tuesday! Whooohoooo! A perfect pairing of two of my most used companies. ๐Ÿ™‚ Buckle up, there are prizes!!

On with my card, yes?

For this card, I used Technique Tuesday’s Happy Happy Happy Stamp set and Man Day stamps for the Birthday sentiment stamp. I stamped and heat embossed them in white, easily spacing them straight with MISTI. After that, I used my Kuretake pearl palette of sparkly watercolors from Kuretake. (This set HERE is a larger solid color set.)

Anywho, I polished off this card with a few Pretty Pink Posh confetti sequins and and some stitching.

Now, let’s chat about the Most Incredible Stamping Tool Invented from My Sweet Petunia! I gave my standard MISTI a little tune up and I am really loving it! First, you should know that I use my MISTIsย  “backwards”. So, when I saw that you can replace your ruler strips with not only other colors, but that I could also have my numbers in the correct direction, I was all over it. You can check those options out HERE. (There are also turquoise replacement rulers.) Now I just need to retrofit my Mini MISTI!

Then I decided to add the Mouse Pad to my MISTI. I recommend this for quick clean up and ease. I’ll still use my grid papers (those are HERE), but this has made everything look cleaner overall. Highly enjoyable! ๐Ÿ™‚

Ok, I mentioned prizes! Here’s the details: Two lucky commenters will be chosen from theย hopย to win one of two prizes: a $50 shopping spree atย www.mysweetpetunia.comย and a $50 shopping spree atย www.techniquetuesday.comย – You must leave your comments no later than Monday, May 28th, at 11:59 PM Central time and winners will be announced on Tuesday May 29th, on theย Technique Tuesdayย and My Sweet Petuniaย blogs.ย
Next on the hop, you’re going to head over to Susan Wymer‘s blog and see what she has in store! It is surely worth the hop over! ๐Ÿ™‚
Here’s the list of all the fun stops today! Be sure to hop along and leave comments for your chances at the prizes above! ๐Ÿ™‚
Good luck and have a wonderful weekend! Hope it includes some stamping! ๐Ÿ™‚

Freshly Made Sketches Guest Designer, Week 3! :)

Hello again! I’m happily enjoying my third week of contributing with the Freshly Made Sketches crew! You can check out their great challenge blog HERE.

And here is this week’s sketch:

And my card:

I took a little creative interpretation when creating the layout on this. ๐Ÿ˜‰! I stenciled the background and die cut that portion. I die cut all the other pieces and adhered them in order after stamping the sentiment and <3. I love this Paper Smooches city skyline! I added some patterned paper and stitching and voila! ๐Ÿ™‚

I thought this would be a fun hello card to pop into the mail!

Supplies I used: Paper Smooches Super 2 dies and All Year Cheer for the Hello. The stenciled background isย  Altenew’s Halftone and then paper isย  Ombre Stripes from Lil’ Inkers! ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks so much for stopping by! And thanks to the FMS for being so awesome to me this month! ๐Ÿ™‚ Great fun!

Take care– Jill ๐Ÿ™‚
