Batty Tags!

Hola! Just popping in with a handful of treat tags I whipped up for teachers and staff. (And one little dude’s lunchbox πŸ˜‰ ) ❀

For these, I used Taylored Expressions Gone Batty,Β  Paper Smooches Tag Stitched Dies, Paper Smooches Teeny Stars, andΒ Lawn Fawn’s Reveal Wheel Sentiments. Fun!

❀ !

Eeeeeeep! Love that little bat.

I backed this patterned paper with cardstock for heft. Otherwise, just colored all with Copic Markers, added a few splats, googley eyes (of course), a few felt stars and done! Ready to give.

Halloween treats before everyone is inundated with sugar. Ha!! πŸ™‚

Thanks for stopping by!

laughs…

hello! I have a pile of cards I have yet to share that I made over the summer. So today, I’m popping in to share this group of funny cards and a lil’ bit of fall….

These stamps are super funny to me, especially this first one. Everything is better in a cape! Cracking up!! πŸ™‚ Full disclosure: The reason this chick is colored so awesomely and skillfully, is because my friend Jen colored it and let me have it. πŸ™‚ Or did I just take it? ha–Just kidding! πŸ˜‰ I did color her cape and make the rest of the card though. Ha!

So fun! This is Taylored Expressions Sarcasti-Chick and her Halloween Closet. Just. So. Funny. ❀

Next up, I have this very ON POINT hair humor card. Hilarious. These are also stamps by Taylored Expressions–from the Clearly Planned called Super Sweet. I colored all of this one. πŸ™‚

Because it has been soooooo humid here! πŸ™‚

And then, we get to the sweet Thank You cards for Fall. I made a handful of these, but forgot to take a group picture, so here’s just one. πŸ™‚

Thanks for stopping by!

Ellen Hutson’s New August Release!

Today, there is a fun NEW RELEASE from Ellen Hutson! The Leading Ladies are back and busier than ever! I always enjoy all the little stamps Brandi Kincaid includes in her sets, so I ran with those! πŸ™‚

You can check out the entire release: Essentials By Ellen August 2018 Complete Release!

I first peeled off these cute little supplies from the newly released: Essentials By Ellen Clear Stamps, Leading Ladies – Teacher Lady By Brandi Kincaid. There are coordinating dies HERE. I stamped them all in black. (This seems to be my current *thing*. Haaa!) After that, I cut some strips to stitch on and added the Alphas from the previously released: Classic Block Alpha. ❀ these alphas!

I thought this would be fun for a teacher or a student! Or even for administration! πŸ™‚

And then, I focused on the light bulb! I colored these very loosely with Copics for a different look.

I really enjoy all the fonts on these new sets! The handwriting mixed with straight text: ❀ !

This next card, I almost just tossed out. The next morning, I decided it was not as bad as I had thought the night before. Do you do this? It’s so silly! πŸ™‚

For this card, I used both new Leading Lady sets, getting the clipboard from the new: Essentials By Ellen Clear Stamps, Leading Ladies – Medical Lady By Brandi Kincaid. The coordinating dies I used are HERE. I also used the previously released: Abstract Paint Strokes.

When I finished this next card, it didn’t feel so cheerful. But I decided that it would actually be a pretty good man card to send. So I kept this one too. πŸ™‚ This one uses more of the Essentials By Ellen Clear Stamps, Leading Ladies – Medical Lady By Brandi Kincaid set.

Loving that “feel better” sentiment–great size, great writing! πŸ™‚ I also used a tag from the previously released: Concertina Tag.

I kept these cards pretty simple and enjoy how they turned out in the end. These new Leading Ladies are fun and quite a delight to have added to my collection! The actual ladies are sure to meet on a card here really soon! πŸ˜‰ There’s a whole party going to happen!

Hope the rest of your weekend is great! Thanks so much for stopping by and thank you to Ellen Hutson for including me in their new release fun today!

See you Later, Alligator!

Hope you had a great weekend! Ours was great here, but of course, too fast as always. πŸ˜‰

I thought I’d pop in and share these cute little Neat & Tangled critters I colored with Copic Markers. The best part is, they made it onto CARDS already!! πŸ™‚

This card is made with Neat & Tangled’s new Later Alligator and coordinating Dies. I also used N&T’s previously released Polygon Stencil with some Distress Oxide inks. πŸ™‚ I cannot handle the cuteness of that tiny little frog! My son is going to love getting this one! πŸ™‚

Next up, I used the cute little fox, So Foxy! Coordinating dies HERE.

I colored him gray with Copics and added him on top of some Lawn Fawn Really Rainbow Paper Pad paper. Gah, cutest little fox! ❀

I also used Neenah white cardstock, as always, for both! πŸ™‚

If you haven’t seen it, Neat & Tangled is hosting another Throwdown: Crafting with Compassion.

There could not be a better idea in my mind, so I wanted to join in on it. I also thought it completely worthy to purchase this Celebrate You stamp set, as all the proceeds are “being donated to the Burning Limb Foundation to help patients at the Neurologic Relief Center receive care for Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS).” You can find all the info HERE.

A charity that matters to me is the American Cancer Society. Not only is it a cause close to my family’s heart, but is is a cause that my friend and her family help to raise money for every year. My friend and her family have run the Chicago Marathon seven years over, to raise money for the ACS in memory of her brother. This year, my friend is running the New York City Marathon for the American Cancer Society DetermiNATION Team. In the past, I have sold my cards to help raise just a little more money for her. πŸ™‚ She is a rockstar in my book! ❀

Help spread the word for a worthy cause close to you! Join in HERE. ❀

Wishing you all a wonderful week ahead! πŸ™‚

Ellen Hutson’s New July Release!

Today, there is a super fun NEW RELEASE from Ellen Hutson! This release is by Julie Ebersole and you know I am a fan of what Julie whips up! This release is no exception! πŸ™‚

There is so much fun on the mermaid front, but this time I flocked to the Rainbow and Unicorns set!Β  Because: Rainbows.Β  πŸ™‚ #trouble

Go Forth and Be Fabulous! ❀

This little unicorn and all the rainbow fun! eeeeek!

For this card, I created a Distress Oxide Ink background with masking and blending.

Fantasmagorical?! ❀

I colored all the little images with Copic Markers and then added them to the cards in little scenes.

This sentiment had me at Sprinkles! I love everything sprinkles!Β  LOL! πŸ™‚

This sentiment is a RIOT! Sure to make someone laugh, I’m sure! I did!

Too funny!

And then this last card, I kept it very simple, but it probably took the longest to make! It was late at night and I was trying to line everything up with tired eyes. Silly! πŸ™‚

Rainbow delight! With Sparkly glitter to boot!! πŸ™‚

I used three new Essentials by Ellen products for these cards:

Essentials By Ellen Clear Stamps, Pure Magic By Julie Ebersole

Essentials By Ellen Clear Stamps, Unicorns ‘N Rainbows By Julie Ebersole

Essentials By Ellen Designer Dies, Unicorns ‘N Rainbows By Julie Ebersole

I also used the previously released and versatile: ESSENTIALS BY ELLEN CLEAR STAMPS, PATTERN PLAY BY BRANDI KINCAID.

For several of the cards,Β  I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear confetti bits. Love those little sparkly bits!

Be sure to check out all the fun new products released today over at Ellen Hutson HERE! Have a great Sunday!

Thanks for stopping by!

Summer School!

Happy Summer! My friend Jen suggested we get our Summer School on and participate in the MFT Summer School series. I thought it was a great idea and I was game, as I always love a challenge! πŸ™‚You can Join in the fun HERE. I think there is still several days left to participate. You don’t have to do them all, by any means.

I dug into my MFT archives of well used stamps and dies and pulled out some for these projects. I had fun making them all and enjoyed the challenges. On with the cards, yes?!

For this card, I used one of my favorite Birdie Brown stamps off all time from the Polynesian Paradise set. I also used the Stripes Cover Up and the Four Way Chevron Cover up (embossed). I inlaid the strips to create subtle texture for the white space. White space rules! πŸ™‚

Primary Colors–Red, Yellow and Blue…

For this card, I used the London Mouse set and the Amazing set for the sentiment. Added some Kuretake watercolors for the background and fussy cut the mice. out. I thought this turned out fun!

I love repetition, but even more, I enjoy simplicity. It’s always hard to know if something is too simple or just enough. Especially after you’ve been looking at too long. LOL! My rule of thumb: Walk away! If you’re debating, it’s usually best to walk away. πŸ™‚

The black and white of these pandas is perfection for this. The biggest debate was what color to make the sign! πŸ˜‰ This set is called Happy Pandas and the dies are the old school version (they are solid and not cut out) which was funny to go back and figure out again. πŸ˜‰

For Complementary Colors, I chose to go with Green and “Red”, aka, Pink. πŸ™‚

This dino is from the set You’re Rawr-some! Love that sentiment! πŸ™‚ I watercolored the dino with my Kuretake watercolors (a bit too solidly for my taste). Still not sure I like this look, but it’s good to try something different once in awhile, right?

For this one, I went with these cutie Koalas colored with Copic Markers! Back to my comfort zone. πŸ˜‰

This set is called Cuddly Koalas. I also used the Chunky Herringbone stencil, Stitched Rectangle Frame and Grassy Field die. Cute cute!

To finish these, I added some stitching to each. My Panda card had some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear confetti bits added.

Big thanks to my friend Jen for suggesting we do this (Jen’s are sure to be showstoppers!!) and thanks to you for stopping by!

Swinging by to Say…

Sometimes you just need to Monkey around, right?! πŸ™‚

The current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge is a Color Challenge and I wanted to join in the fun! Check it out HERE: So I made this cute little monkey card. I have been loving the retro vibe lately, so I went with that. πŸ™‚ You just gotta love the 70’s and 80’s! πŸ™‚

I colored the cute monkey from the Lawn Fawn/Ellen Hutson setΒ  Love Ya Bunches (limited time set) with Copic markers. I made strips from scrap cardstock and then used an Avery Elle frame to cut it all out. I adhered all the bit down with foam tape. To polish it off, I scored the card base and added some stitching. Fun!

The sentiment Hang in There is from this Lawn Fawn setΒ  Slow Down and Enjoy! I stamped that a little too close to the Swinging by bit, but…. well at that point, I had to run with it! πŸ˜‰

Such a fun and sweet encouragement card to send! Loving these challenge colors! πŸ™‚

Have a great and safe Fourth of July!!

Take care– Jill πŸ™‚
