You Brighten My Day!

I need some sunshine to mail and I saw theΒ  Essentials by Ellen Pin-Sights Challenge this month: Strawberry, Orange and Lemon–perfection!

Here is my card!

For this, I used two Essentials by Ellen stamps sets: Wonky Backdrops and Warm Fuzzies.I watercolored with Distress Inks: Candied Apple, Carved Pumpkin and Mustard Seed. I stamped with Versamark Black ink and clear heat embossed all those. To finish it off, I added some spatters and stitching for texture.

There’s still time to jump in on this Pin-Sights Challenge! I hope to squeeze in another card using this combo–since it is a go-to fave of mine anyway. πŸ˜‰

See you back here tomorrow! Thanks for stopping by!

Sending Good Vibes

Hola! I ❀ this sentiment from Neat and Tangled! πŸ™‚

I used Neat and Tangled’s stamp set Good Vibes and their stencil Scoops, blending on Distress Inks. I then sprayed it with water to get a little movement, but apparently it wasn’t having it! Haaaa!

I wanted to get in on this month’s Little Tangles Challenge: Color Combo Challenge! Plenty of time for you to join in too! How awesome and tasty is this image below?!Yum! Happy Summer indeed!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week!

Stencils are Awesome

Happy Wednesday! I’m popping in today to share a card I whipped up with some Neat and Tangled goodies! πŸ™‚

For this, I used Distress Oxide inks. I was trying to avoid them, but after trying a friend’s ink, well, here I am! (They blend like butta’!)Β  A shout out to my crafty friends for helping me acquire them #troublemakers πŸ˜‰ πŸ™‚

Originally, I had this “Awesome” die cut all white, and I was done! As I got up from my desk to go sleep, I instead grabbed my sponge and rubbed on some Worn Lipstick Oxide ink across the top. Then, I was really going to bed. Nope, grabbed the Wink of Stella to add some glimmer, and topped it off with Glossy Accents. It was WAY late at night! Luckily, I didn’t ruin the card…I think I made it better! Phew! πŸ˜‰ In the fog, I forgot to stitch the panel, but I’ll still call this a win! πŸ™‚

I was so excited to receive this N & T stencil, Geometric Blooms, designed by my crazy talented friend, Miriam. I also usedΒ  Neat & Tangled’s Awesome die! This stencil is fantastic, and the possibilities are endless!! πŸ™‚ I lucked into these great sequins from N & T too, Pink Lemonade Sequin Mix. Yum!

Squeaking this in for this month’s Little Tangles Challenge: Stencil! Wish I had could make a couple more entries, but tick-tock!

I was fortunate to win this stencil & sequins from a Neat & Tangled giveaway on Instagram! Super fun! Thank you, Neat and Tangled! ❀

Thanks for stopping by! The rest of the week is downhill, right? πŸ™‚

Essentials by Ellen Pin-Sights Challenge

Today I have the awesome opportunity to join in the Essentials by Ellen Pin-Sights Challenge fun! How excited am I? πŸ™‚

The Essentials by Ellen Pin-Sights challenge is a monthly inspirational challenge based on a Pinterest Inspired photo that is located on the CLASSroom blog. A random challenge participant will receive a $50 gift certificate to the Ellen Hutson store!!Β  To be eligible, you MUST use Essentials by Ellen products and the photo badge as inspiration. There will be an inlinkz on the challenge post where you can submit, HERE.

Here is the Pinterest inspiration photo: Pretty, right?

And here is my inspired card:

Gah! I had sooo much fun making this card! I rearranged these pieces dozens of times until I finally settled on this little number. πŸ™‚

I first used all the inspirational colors, and that was too much. Then I dialed it down to just a few of the colors: The navy, the off-white and the pinkish hue.

I freaking LOVE the Essentials by Ellen Designer Dies, Silver Linings by Julie Ebersole. I mean, how cool are these dies? I really enjoy how they are held together just slightly, which is great for holding the piece together and/or makes them really easy to separate. I separated the pieces, and pieced the colors easily after doing that.

I then used the Essentials By Ellen Designer Dies, Hinged Thanks By Julie Ebersole. Another fun die! I went back and forth about putting a different color cardstock underneath to peek through. Yes? No? Yes?Β  In the end, I always settle on the simpler look. πŸ˜‰

Can you tell I am a big fan of Julie Ebersole’s designs? I am! That Julie is a troublemaker for my wallet. πŸ˜‰ Such fun!

I added some stitching and finished everything off with these Pretty Pink Posh Sequins, Sparkling Clear Mix (4mm, 6mm, 8mm &10mm ).

A BIG thanks to Laurel for helping me gather all the details for this great challenge! A HUGE thank you to Ellen Hutson, for having me along this month, and for always being so awesomely supportive of me, and all those in our fun crafty community! ❀ ! It has truly been a pleasure to participate this month! Keep the good stuff coming! πŸ™‚

Thank YOU for stopping by today! I hope you participate in this month’s challenge! πŸ™‚

So be sure to drop everyone some ❀ along the way for more chances to win. Details and the full blog list can be found on the Lil’ Inker Blog HERE.

I was fortunate to receive this great Lil’ Inker stamp while on an awesome crafty retreat earlier this month. It is such a beautiful sentiment, and I love the way it owns a card! Therefore, I decided to just give it a pretty rainbow backdrop and just let it shine. Literally. Because I heat embossed it. πŸ˜‰

Gah! How awesome is that stamp? Geesh! ❀ I keep thinking this would look sweet in a frame. πŸ™‚ Might have to do that!

For the background, I masked off stripes and blended Distress Inks on, one by one. I love how vibrant they turned out. I was thinking I’d add a few spatters to this, but in the end, I wanted to maintain the crisp feel that resulted. It’s a pretty simple technique, but it gives a POW, and it almost looks like patterned paper. What do you think?

Here’s are the two stamps, that along with a few others, are being released today:

The next stop on the hop is the always creating Heather Hoffman! I’m sure Heather’s project will be fantastic! Be sure to hop on–sure to be amazing projects to see! πŸ™‚

Speaking of kindness, thank you so very much to Laura, for sharing these super sweet stamps and for including us in the fun today!! ❀

Love you Deerly

Happy Saturday! Last night I stayed up and made this colorful card to join in the Ellen Hutson April Pin-Sights Challenge! I think I’ve missed the last couple challenges over there, and I was so happy to sit and make a card for this one.

I made a purple deer! πŸ™‚ I can’t wait to get this in the mail today. ❀

For this card, I blended on some Distress Inks, and then stamped over them with white ink. I stamped and die cut all these pieces, added a few spatters and stitching, and voila! I’m still impressed I voluntarily used purple. Sometimes purple needs some love too. πŸ˜‰

For this card, I used Ellen Hutson’s Oh Deer stamps and dies AND one of my new favorites: Wonky Backdrops! I always enjoy Julie Ebersole’s designs. Gah!

Check out the challenge HERE and join in! You can see I was inspired by the soft colors πŸ™‚

Thanks for stopping by! Have a fantastic weekend!!
