Velcro Shoes…

Happy Sunday! I’m just popping in with a funΒ Taylored Expressions card I made for a friend’s birthday. She also appreciates said humor, so I’m thinking she got a laugh out of this one! πŸ™‚

This is the Hip Hop Bunny, lots of Simple Strips and the Confetti Toss Background. I colored him with Copics eons ago, and he has been sitting on my desk looking at me. So finally, this snarky little dude made it on a card. πŸ™‚

I used the TE Rectangle Masking stencil and TE Blending Brushes and voila! πŸ™‚ Birthday fun! I’m thinking now, I maybe should have put a color after “Let the Celebration Begin:”… haaaa! But it’s enjoyable nonetheless. ❀
These products are available over at Taylored Expressions!

Take care πŸ™‚

Taylored Expressions Release Week: Day 3

Welcome to Day Three of Taylored Expressions February Release Week! If you missed my other two posts earlier this week,Β  I’ll link you up down below. πŸ™‚

Today, I am sharing the new Big Grumpy Easter. And you know, I could not love this more if I tried! How funny (and oh so very happy) does he look? The little bunny ears?! It just completely makes me smile!Β  πŸ™‚

He plopped the chocolate bunny head first into the basket. Too much!Β  πŸ˜‰

I colored everything with Copic makers and adhered using TE Foam tape onto the Embossing Folder: Cloudy Days background. This card also has the new Drip Drop bits that are so awesome to add a little somethin somethin. πŸ˜‰

I could make these all day! Too funny! πŸ™‚

Next up, I have a card I made with the new Eggceptional Background and the previously released Hip Hop Bunny because he wanted in on the Easter action too! πŸ™‚ This egg background colors in lickety split with the coordinating stencil. 1-2-3 with TE Blender Brushes and done! πŸ™‚

This sentiment is from the Big Grumpy Easter set as well. Doesn’t he too look super happy!? haaahahaaa!!

I colored this silly bunny with Copic markers and added to the background with some vellum to add a little interest. πŸ™‚

11 years and counting at Taylored Expressions!

SinceΒ  Taylored Expressions is celebrating 11 years, let’s keep this party rolling! πŸ™‚

This first card features the new Birthday Background, Birthday Basics, Simple Strips – Birthday and the previously released Hip Hop Bunny. If you have followed my taste in humor, you know this card absolutely puts me in stitches!! I laugh all over when I see this again!Β  πŸ™‚

The Hip Hop Bunny alone, with his oh so pleased look–and then insult to injury, Another Year Closer to Velcro shoes–I cannot stop laughing!

The TE Blender Brushes made super quick work of this background of course, and I love that easy blend with the TE dye inks. His little hat all tipped completes his look of great *joy*! I threw some silver thread behind him and added some stitching, as always. I just think he’s a riot. Hot Stuff. I die.

Next up, I have a silly little number using the new Big Grumpy sentimentΒ and the previously released Little Monsters.

The weirdest thing about this card is how that blended background sort of glows in person. I don’t even know how I did it and I’ll likely never accomplish that again. ha!! This Here Comes the Sun stencil with the Taylored Expressions Blending Brushes and dye inks is delightful.

I have the perfect friend to send this one to! ❀

Be sure to check out all the fun the Creative Team has made to celebrate TE’s 11 years!! πŸ™‚

Taylored Expressions: Blends!

The exciting news popped last week about the new Taylored Expressions Blender Brushes! I hope if you were interested in them, you were able to order a set. If you wanted to order, but the dots didn’t connect in time, you can sign up HERE to be notified when the next batch is available to order!

Today, I’m here to share fun color combos you might like to try with the Taylored Expressions Blender Brushes! (There’s a fun post over at Taylored Expressions today!)

This first blend is: Lemon Meringue, Sweet Potato, and Plum Punch.

This second blend is: Granny Smith, Pineapple, and Blue Raspberry.

This third blend is: Guava, Pineapple and Pumpkin.

And lastly, this blend is: Pineapple, Cookie Monster, and Earl Grey.

I really enjoyed making these different combos blend together. Each one with very different results. My goal was to try something I wouldn’t normally default too, and I loved the results! The last one, my biggest experiment, is my favorite! Never thought it would work to use Earl Grey– and then it ends up being my fave–go figure! πŸ˜‰

So, I made it into a fun card:

This little dude seriously makes me laugh!! πŸ™‚

I think this card is a RIOT! That bunny and his look is just priceless! What a fun card to make! I colored him with Copic Markers pulling the colors from the background in. I think of this card often now and how mixing it up had unexpected success. πŸ™‚

Taylored Expressions Sneak Peeks! Day 1

Hello! Are you ready for Taylored Expressions new February Release?! I am!! πŸ™‚

For these first cards, I used the new Hip Hop Bunny with the Triangle Toss Stencil. This little dude is a new favorite of mine–look at that face!! Hilarious! ❀

And the sentiment is just the end all be all with that face! Haaaaaa!! Love it! I used purple–just wanted to add that little note, because I am not a purple person. LOL! πŸ™‚

Goodness, this cracks me up! This stencil is the perfect backdrop for him and I thought it fun to use the rays to spray the confetti out. I just layered the stencils to get the effect. πŸ˜‰

The next card I made with the new Stacked Seasons Background. I enjoy this so much, especially after the bitter cold days we just experienced.

I stamped this one with Oreo ink and colored it all in with Copic Markers. Look at those cuties peeking out. πŸ˜‰

I colored both of these cards with Copic Markers on Sugar Cube and added some stitching to finish them both off.
