Spellbinders Embossing Folders: February!

Hope you are having a great week! Today I am sharing a couple cards I made with Spellbinders Embossing Folders for February! This was my first opportunity to use these embossing folders and what a treat it was!

You can hop over to the Spellbinders website to check out all the information on Spellbinders Embossing Folders for February. I used both the Delhi Cut and Emboss Folder and the Lahaina Cut and Emboss Folder.

This card is the  Lahaina Cut and Emboss Folder. So tropically delightful!!

The embossed panel and intricate die cutting makes it so you don’t have to add much more to the card, if you ask me! It does all the work! 🙂

Next up is the Delhi Cut and Emboss Folder.

I thought this would be delightful in blues and I think it turned out lovely!!

I wanted the two to coordinate, so I used the same technique of cardstock strips and Thicker Letters. 🙂

I hope you have been inspired to try one of these embossing folders–so fun and so different from anything I have used before! 🙂

While I have you, don’t forget there is also Spellbinders Small Die of the Month Club HERE and Large Die of the Month Club HERE!

Seasons Givings Blog Hop: 2019!

Hello! I’m here today to share with lots of creative people and share the goodness for the Seasons Givings Blog Hop!! Big Thanks to my friend Latisha for putting it all together and coordinating again this year! ❤

I truly appreciate all the support, reading, kind comments and sharing on my blog throughout the year, and this is my (and everyone today!) way of saying THANK YOU!! Everyone along the hop today will have some sort of giveaway to share!

I thought I would share a couple favorite cards I have from the year. Of course, I am horrible at picking faves, because I often have dozens (and I do mean dozens), but for the sake of time, here’s a few! 🙂 Other favorites can be found in Scrapbook & Cards Today 2019 issues! ❤

This one above is Taylored Expressions and you can find it on my blog HERE.

This one above is Honey Bee Stamps and you can find it on my blog HERE.

The best part is, I mailed a few of these! yay!! 🙂 Looking forward to mailing out MORE cards in 2020!

________________________________________________________________________

Here is the WHOLE Blog list to hop around to! Be sure to check out all the fun:

I have many things to send and share with others, so I have packaged them up into these MYSTERY boxes below. *Disclaimer: I have found more goodies after I took this photo, so I am now thinking I will get one BIGGER box and pick one winner for a full bounty! I’ll be heading to the Post Office next week to get a new box! 🙂 (Please note that the winner must have a US mailing address.)

If you are a new stamper or a seasoned stamper, I’m sure you will find a few things you like in the box for sure. There is a variety of styles and manufacturers that I have collected over the course of the last year (or two). It’s mostly stamps and dies, maybe a few this and thats too. Honestly, I’m thinking the box will be pretty packed. And anything you don’t like, I just ask you share it forward with someone that does. ❤

**All you need to do is add a comment below telling me:

What your favorite kind of card to make is? Birthday? Holiday? Get Well? Just because? etc.

And/OR

What is your favorite style of card? CAS? Floral? Layers? Graphic? etc.

My favorite cards to make are funny and graphic *Just Because* cards. But I love to see others styles, especially if it’s not something I could ever pull off making myself! 🙂

You have until January 10th to comment and I will post a random winner next weekend, January 11/12! And I will mail it out the following week! Hooray!

If you’re interested in following me along on Instagram I’m here @jilldhawkins and of course, on my blog here at FastestTurtle.wordpress.com! You an subscribe in the sidebar over there >> . (I do post often throughout the month.)

Thank you again for being so fantastic and lovely. Wishing you all a wonderful 2020!

Thanks for stopping by! 🙂

Thank You!

Hope you had a Very Merry Christmas! I think we are finally starting to come out from the fog, but goodness, I am wiped out! ha!

But in crafty news, I’m here today to share some more fun from Honey Bee Stamps. Now is the time to send all those Thank You notes and this one fits the bill!

For this card, I used Honey Bee’s Stacking Pines, Northern Star Coverplate, Scallop A2, Rainbow Wishes and Gingerbread House Add On. I die cut everything and stamped the sentiment. I then assembled the card and added the chunky glitter on as the very last thing. Giving the glitter a little pat will help keep it all attached to the card. (Another tip: Rub down all the elements with an anti-static something to keep the glitter where you want it vs. all over the card.)

I wanted a card that would be easy to make a handful of, but a step above a mass producing design. This card has a little extra something, but it doesn’t take that long to make… which means, I can make a few without wondering where several hours went! ha! 🙂

Be sure to check out the Honey Bee Stamps blog HERE. 🙂

Santa’s Delivery!

Hope you have started your weekend off swimmingly! I’m here today to share some more fun from  Honey Bee Stamps. I’m sharing a gift card holder! I don’t know about you, but I need to make a bunch of these. And truthfully, they are QUICK to make with Honey Bee’s Stocking Gift Card Holder HERE.

You just die cut all the pieces once and the stocking piece twice (for front and back) and then assemble. You then slide the gift card right in! Too fun and super easy!

The sentiment is from the set Santa Express HERE (such fantastically fun sentiments for gift tags, etc.) and the patterned paper ( ❤ !) is from Holiday Traditions HERE 6 x 6 pad.  🙂

This is just a fun way to add a little something special to those gift card gifts!

I added some stitching to give it a little more handmade touch and boom, done! 🙂

Be sure to check out the Honey Bee Stamps blog HERE. 🙂

Gnome Sweet Gnome

Good Morning you have started your weekend off well! Our coffee maker just went bust after years of being on the fritz, so I’m definitely not awake! ha! 🙂 I’m here today to share some more fun from  Honey Bee Stamps. This little gnome is from the Gnome Place Like Home stamp set (and Dies HERE.)

I colored him with Copic markers  and then created this snowy background with Distress Inks and the fantastic Snow Cover Plate ( ❤ !) and the Scallop A2 dies. I thought it would be fun to create a puntastic sentiment using the Home, Sweet Home die set along with the “gnome” word die cut from the Gnome Place Like Home Honey Cuts. I finished it all off with some stitching and some Bokeh Lights Confetti. Eeek so fun for the holidays!

I think it turned out fun and definitely different that where I started in my mind. Love when that happens!

Be sure to check out the Honey Bee Stamps blog HERE. 🙂

You can hop over to the Spellbinders website to check out all the information on Small Dies of the Month HERE and you can check out the Large Dies of the Month HERE. There are also a Value Clubs HERE if you’re interested in joining multiple clubs at once.

This Spellbinders Small Die of the Month is  Kaleidoscope Snowflake and you can find it HERE. There is a new Small Die of the Month EVERY month!

I thought this turned out so delicate, which I don’t think is my usual gig?  😉
I just used  silver thread to thread thru the snowflakes and added two layers of foam tape to give the frame I cut out with my craft knife a little lift.

The sentiments are from Lawn Fawn’s sentiment set: Offset Says Christmas HERE.

Next up, I have the Spellbinders Large Die of the Month! This one is my FAVORITE!! I mean, HOW CUTE is this Santa?! Gah! Adorable.  And I thought he wanted to be on trend in Buffalo Plaid 😉 . This one is called Santa’s Helpers  and you can find it HERE.

I just think he is cutie patootie!! And I thought this sweet sentiment from Simon Says Stamp Greetings Mix 1, Believe in You (HERE) was perfect to stamp and give this card to our son at Christmas. ❤

The stencil is called Hot Dot from Paper Smooches! ❤

Such a sweet little guy! The Large Die of the Month is available HERE!  🙂

________________________________________________________________________

There is one little bonus card from me this month featuring the add on and it is called SANTA’S REINDEER ETCHED DIES – SANTA’S HELPERS ADD-ON SET and you can find that one HERE!

You can add this little cutie to the same body that Santa has on the above card, just tweeking it slightly.

This sweet sentiment is from Ellen Hutson’s Oh Deer set. (I think this set is retired?)

I am Grateful

Hope you have started your weekend off well! I’m here to share some more fun from  Honey Bee Stamps. Today, I am sharing a wintry card because we received several inches of snow here already this week. This is HIGHLY abnormal, but here we are! So I thought it fitting to make snowflakes. 🙂

These snowflakes are from the Layering Snowflakes. They are intended to layer up and create fun dimensional snowflakes, but I thought it would be great to show them on their own too, because they work wonderfully this way! 🙂 This sweet sentiment is from THIS stamp set called Grateful Heart. (Coordinating dies for this set are HERE.) I tend to really only send handmade holiday thank you cards, so I like to stock up my stash on these! ❤

I also used the dies called Scallop Square Gift Tags and these are FAB!! I am really looking forward to making some holiday tags this month! 🙂

The card panel is cut out with the essential Scallop A2 Card Frames. These are a staple in my card making arsenal!

I added lots of score lines, some stitching and twine to polish off this sweet card.

Be sure to check out the Honey Bee Stamps blog HERE. 🙂

Joy!

Hope you had a wonderful weekend! I’m here to share a card using amazing new products from  Honey Bee Stamps. These cover plates are AMAZING!! I just ❤ them! They are called Winter Prism Cover Plates. There are three layers– check them out HERE.

I also used the new Joy Noel Wreath Honey Cuts . This is a fun die set with the letters and the wreath option. I thought it would be fun to cut it out of felt and then stitch it.

On top of this amazing cover plate stack, it doesn’t need much! But naturally, I used Confetti Bits: Bokeh Lights! 🙂

Be sure to check out the Honey Bee Stamps blog HERE. 🙂
