You’re Turtley Awesome–I Love You!

Happy Friday! Burrrrrr we sure have some cold weather and winds here in the Midwest! 🙂

I’m popping in to share a turtleriffic Paper Smooches card! This little turtle takes my heart every time.  He’s from Courteous Cuties and his coordinating dies are HERE

So cute!

I colored him with Copic Markers (For Kathy’s Daily Marker 30 Day today! A COMPLETE card!) and added some scoring, patterned paper (2019 goal!) and stitching. Looking forward to tucking him into my son’s lunchbox next week. 🙂

Thank you for stopping by! Have a warm weekend!

Some Weekend Cute!

Happy Weekend All! 🙂

I meant to post yesterday, but instead, I’m here today! I am so excited to share this first card! I love this little Doodle! Eeep! The cuteness!! 🙂

Oh my word! ❤ him! 🙂 This sentiment is from PS’s awesome Kindness Sampler.

Another card I made with Dinky Doodles. For these cards, I used both Paper Smooches Dinky Doodles 1 and Dinky Doodles 2.

I thought the TREmendous sentiment from Paper Smooches Huge Hugs 2 set worked perfectly and punfully! 🙂 Also, I used the newer Flower Frames dies! I have those die cuts all over my desk right now. All. Over! Haaaa!

And last but not least, I thought I’d share the anniversary card I made for my hubby this weekend!

I made this background with watercolors WEEKS ago and then it just sat on my desk. I masked off this wonky frame and I’m pretty darn sure I used my Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors (I can’t imagine what else that is? LOL!). They are still super awesome in my book. 🙂 I colored the birds with Zig Clean Color markers.

This cute little bird set is PS’s Feathered Friends (and dies) and the I Love You die is a great staple for anyone’s stash! <3!

All the new Paper Smooches can be found over at the  PS online store!

Have an awesome weekend!

Take care- Jill 🙂

The Cutest Video Hop Ever!

logo_finalHappy ❤ Day, and welcome to The Cutest Video Hop Ever!  My son and I are VERY excited and grateful to be joining Emily Leiphart for this fun hop celebrating 5000 subscribers on her YouTube channel but, more importantly, inspiring the next generation of crafters!  We hope you have as much fun watching us craft with our kids, as much as we enjoyed creating these projects to share with you.  We are also proud to have two very inspiring young crafters joining us on their own YouTube channels.

I prepped everything, and my son colored all the critters. Afterwards, he excitedly shouted, in a *chop chop* fastion, “Ok, let’s make the video!” I started to explain what the overall plan was, and he said he wanted to do it all on his own, HIS way. Perfect! (But I wasn’t sure what to expect! haaa!) He started, finished twenty minutes later (including our glue mishaps), and that was that! 🙂  Bam! 🙂

Please note: I have NEVER crafted a video before, so be warned. From the filming, to editing, it is all new to me. My son however, seems to be a natural at the instruction. Who knew?!

Here is our video ❤ :

I think these are so stinkin’ cute! Our family and his friends are going to love them! 🙂

He put pom poms on that little Paper Smooches sheep! So cute! 🙂

I laugh because he colored this one Technique Tuesday fox fairly traditionally, and the other is a party! Also, one gets all the Tootsie Rolls? LOL. Love it! 🙂hawkins_tt-valentines

Here are a few cards I colored using Elena’s new Just Me Digital Stamps–so stinkin’ cute!! 🙂

I colored all these with Copic Markers. The images are so sweet, and it is easy to download and print them yourself! Another first for me on this hop: Digital Stamps! And…now I want them all! LOL 🙂hawkins_jill-smore2
These frame dies and the heart dies my son used, are all from My Favorite Things. hawkins_jill-smore_01
Oooops, a little stitching blooper on this one above! shhhh! 🙂
hawkins_jill_love_wm
This Technique Tuesday card is made with the Long Love die. It is super delicate, so I recommend using one of the sticky papers so you can die cut all at once to adhere. The hearts are from the Heart Strings die. Awwwww love. 🙂
jill_i-love-you-die_01

And, last, but not least, is this valentine using Paper Smooches I Love You die and the For You tag die. This one is for my hubby, so I thought the gray was perfect to “man” it up a bit. This is a fun die for many occasions! 🙂

I want to give a HUGE HUGE thanks out to Emily, for first, being crazy enough to ask my son and me to join this hop. And secondly, for her encouragement to make this video and edit it. I can’t say whether or not I’ll ever craft another video, but I will say it was a very good thing to try. (I embedded this video link above and felt so accomplished! LOL!!). My son will likely request to make another 🙂 . I always enjoy a challenge…Even if I did miss a typo in the video. Bwaaahaaaa! I did that on “purpose”… wink wink! Thanks again, Emily! 🙂

Thanks for joining us today…be sure you hop on to Laura Bassen (& leave comments too for a chance at the fantastic prizes!). Laura’s videos are inspiring and I always find myself laughing out loud! Her daughter is sure to add even more fun! 🙂

Signing off!

Jill and my little buddy

seriously

I’m just popping in with a quick share. I made this card for a friend because I knew she would get a kick out of it. 🙂 I am not really a flower person, and I knew she would enjoy this for that reason. 🙂

hawkins_jill_seriously_00_wmThis Paper Smooches flower is quick and simple. Just my cup of tea.hawkins_jill_seriously_wmKept it simple with three orange inks, a pop of green and some quick wonky stitching.

love you, dude

Having some fun with the August Paper Smooches Challenge! 🙂 Friendship!

I was apparently speaking *dude* last night ;)! Haaaaa!

hawkins_jill_love dude_00_wmI enjoy the greens and pink together. I pieced all the strips and die cut the Love. Then I inlaid that piece in another white die cut. I scored the card panel, stamped it, put it all together, and stitched it up! 🙂

hawkins_jill_love dude_wmI figured this would be fun to send a good friend, or my husband will surely laugh and roll his eyes at me, if given to him. 🙂

I’m playing along with the August Paper Smooches Challenge: Friendship. Check it out! How can you resist this cute little pic of inspiration?! 🙂
