Sometimes you just need to Monkey around, right?! 🙂
The current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge is a Color Challenge and I wanted to join in the fun! Check it out HERE: So I made this cute little monkey card. I have been loving the retro vibe lately, so I went with that. 🙂 You just gotta love the 70’s and 80’s! 🙂
I colored the cute monkey from the Lawn Fawn/Ellen Hutson set Love Ya Bunches (limited time set) with Copic markers. I made strips from scrap cardstock and then used an Avery Elle frame to cut it all out. I adhered all the bit down with foam tape. To polish it off, I scored the card base and added some stitching. Fun!
The sentiment Hang in There is from this Lawn Fawn set Slow Down and Enjoy! I stamped that a little too close to the Swinging by bit, but…. well at that point, I had to run with it! 😉
Such a fun and sweet encouragement card to send! Loving these challenge colors! 🙂
Have a great and safe Fourth of July!!
Take care– Jill 🙂
Happy Super Bowl Sunday! It is snowing here, and this is the perfect card for today!
I colored these cuties for #thedailymarker30day today, and actually put them on a card right away. Hooray! I actually colored them in the wee hours of the morning because I couldn’t sleep. I believe that was due to possibly dozing off (albeit VERY briefly) earlier in the day? LOL! I blame my son. 🙂 He wears me out! ❤
These cuties are from Lawn Fawn’s Snow Cool and Chit Chat. I have the dies for the Snow Cool set, but the Chit Chat, I just fussy cut. I think Chit Chat was one of my first LF sets? 🙂 Oh and the heart is from Lawn Fawn’s Hearts die.
I used Lawn Fawn Jet Black (Copic friendly) Ink, Hero Arts White Embossing Powder, Copic Markers, and Worn Lipstick Oxide ink.
This is also perfect for joining the current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge: Inspiration Board. It’s so wintery and love filled, I thought this would be spot on. 🙂
Have a great Sunday! Thanks for popping by!
Take care! Jill 🙂
Hooray for the weekend! 🙂
Last night I had just enough time to get a quick card made. Monday is back to school here, and it is going to get ugly round these parts! My son is going to be in extreme denial! 🙂 So I made him a card for his lunchbox, to soften the blow midday. It’s not going to work, but it can’t hurt. Haaaa!
My son has a chameleon and he loves apples, so I went with that! 🙂
This little chameleon was a Lawn Fawn goodie offered around Thanksgiving. I obviously needed to grab one! 🙂 I did not get the die however, so I just fussy cut him out. 🙂
The background I used is from the fabulous Ellen Hutson set, Wonky Backdrops. Love that set.
Other supplies: Lawn Fawn Thanks a Bushel stamp and die, Lawn Fawn Jet Black (Copic friendly) Ink, Versafine Black, Hero Arts Ombre ink pad, Hero Arts White Embossing Powder, Copic Markers, and a White Gel Pen.
I thought I’d enter this for the current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge: Fun with Food! I love to partake in challenges, as I think it’s great creative exercise! 🙂 There is still over a week to join in the fun, so check it out! Lots of yummy cute to check out there! 🙂
Have a great weekend and STAY WARM!
Take care! Jill 🙂
Hope your weekend has been fantastic so far! 🙂
I love this little set: Lawn Fawn/Ellen Hutson United We Flourish Love Ya’ Bunches. I have been wanting to monkey around with it again and I finally got around to it 🙂 .
Eeeeek! So fun! And this paper is hoard worthy, but I am trying my best to use my favorites too vs. saving them. LOL. But the rainbow–want to keep forever–ha! ❤I stamped everything and then used my Zig Clean Color markers to watercolor these cuties on Bristol paper. It turned out so fun, and my son is going to love finding it in his lunchbox Monday!
Oh this little bear is from Lawn Fawn’s You’re Claw-some set. ❤ those little guys. 🙂
Hooray for summer! (But it’s going TOO fast!)
Today I am sharing a card I made for my son. I’m trying to *slowly but surely* build up my lunchbox/backpack stash for the school year. I am also a fan of the post-it and a sharpie, so don’t think I send these daily or anything. Haaaaa! 🙂
My red layering detail kept getting absorbed into the Lawn Fawn Lobster ( ❤ ), so you can barely make out those little lines there. Googley eyes to polish them off, of course! 🙂
For this card, I used Lawn Fawn’s Rooting for You stamp set. 😉 Always such fun to use these cutie veggies and their puntastic sentiments! This patterned paper is from Lawn Fawn, as well as the Lobster and Carrot color inks.
Here are a couple other cards I made with these little guys…. HERE and HERE. ❤ These crack me up!
I am playing along with the current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge color combo inspiration board! It’s pretty summertastic, if you ask me! 🙂 There is still time to enter too!! Join in!
Hooray for summer!
Have a great rest of the week!! 😉

Happy Friday–and beginning of a long holiday weekend for some here in the US! Yay! 🙂
I received the new Lawn Fawn/Ellen Hutson United We Flourish Love Ya’ Bunches in the mail last night! Whooooot!! Super crazy fast shipping, EH! Thank you! ❤️
I thought I’d take advantage of my night, and get right to it! This set is super cute and so fun with all its lil’ bits and sentiments to mix and match! Eeeep! 🙂
I made pink monkeys!! How do these things come to be? LOL! I’m thinking that I should have made blue bananas while I was at it! Haaaa!
I clear embossed all the elements and then used my Zig Clean Color markers to watercolor this cuties on Bristol paper. I stamped all the leaves in green ink directly. Again, alarmed at how many green inkpads I have! 😉 Totally normal. (Haaa!!)
I’m entering this for the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #7 HERE!
Have an AWESOME weekend! Thank you for stopping by! 🙂
Hope your weekend is going swimmingly! We are having low 70’s temps (and a nice breeze) this weekend and I could not be happier! It’s a welcome relief to the heat. I wish I could bottle it up. 🙂
Anywho–I have had this Bon Voyage stamp and die set on my desk for months. I finally got to it last night. 🙂 I really wanted to make some happy clouds!
I brushed on some Distress Inks to create the background. I quick Googled Sunset images and found this photo below to inspire my color choices. When I find inspiration, I usually just look at it and get to work. I use it for the jump start and don’t refer back, but I see now there is a lot more blue in this photo. 😉Photo Credit HERE.
I used my Zig Clean Color markers to watercolor this airplane on Bristol paper. You can BARELY tell it is even colored in these photos, so I guess I could have gone a notch darker? I also added some glossy accents to the plane, and those are next to invisible! Haaaa!! I was trying to keep the focus on the clouds. I’m not sure if I succeeded in the end. LOL!
I used the following Lawn Fawn sets: Bon Voyage, Chit Chat (a long time LF fave!), and Thanks a Bushel for all the happy faces!
I’m entering this in the fun over at Lawn Fawnatics! This is for this Challenge #7 HERE!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend! Thank you for stopping by! 🙂
Have a great week!
