MFT Sketch 283: Coolest Pop!

Here’s my take on MFT Sketch Challenge #283. This challenge come from the My Favorite Things Challenge & Inspiration Blog!photoI wanted to keep this simple, so I masked off a central area and stamped up a Dad’s Day card! 🙂 Of course, I rotated the sketch and rectangled it too. 😉

MFT Sketch #277

Here’s my take on MFT Sketch Challenge #277! This comes from the My Favorite Things Challenge & Inspiration Blog!photoI thought I’d get ahead for either Teacher Appreciation or more likely, the end of the school year! 🙂 My son’s teacher is beyond AMAZING! And I like to tell her that. ❤ hawkins_jill_teacher_wmI thought this was a little different take on the sketch this week. I clear embossed the Roses All Over BG and then rubbed in distress inks. Pretty quick and easy, which is what I like these days! 🙂

This week’s sketch:MFT_WSC_244My card for this week:

hawkins_jill_dew_WMSoda POP! And DEW!? Dewey love? Yes we Dew! 🙂 haaaaa! Laina rocks great designs. I also completely enjoy this stencil and cover up. Ahhh September new releases! 🙂

I have a second card to share using this sketch. It is quite a loose take. I used the building as the “tag” and went from there. I usually look at a sketch to start and don’t look at it again. That’s how things get a little wacky, often. 🙂

hawkins_jill_you're sweet friend_wmI decided I had *medium* control issues after making this. The watercolors want to flow, not be controlled. 😉

hawkins_jill_you're sweet friend_00_wmSuch a fun set nonetheless. And I’ll keep practicing. 🙂
