Taylored Expressions: Very Cherry Kit!

Today, there is a NEW Kit available over atย  Taylored Expressions. This one is moving into my top faves very quickly because it is not only sweet and delightful, but it is so easy to use and create lots of fun cards. And it seems my recent mission is to create a stack of cards all at once and have them ready to use, so this Very Cherry Kit is really helping me on that mission. ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’

First up, let’s talk Rainier Cherries. I LOVE to eat these little summer gems and have yet to have a single one yet this year. How is that possible? Well, anyway, I decided I would create them on a card instead.

I wasn’t entirely sure how to do this, so I just went for it using Potato Chip, Pinkย Champagne, and Guava on the cherries. I love how they turned out in the end. At first I was thinking the lines of ink were bugging me, but then I embraced it and now I want to recreate this effect. ha!

I wish I had stamped a few more of these at the same time. But I did create a few backgrounds, so I can fill them in easy enough someday soon! I used the overlapping sweet little heart stencil and blended on some Gumball ink. It was a risk because I wasn’t entirely sure I would like the blue hearts. Thank goodness I loved the result! Phew! ๐Ÿ™‚ I die cut that panel with the Frame in Frame 2 die (shocker, I know!). I die cut the Open Scalloped Circleย in Blueberry and then stamped the sentiment on Vellum to put that in the center. This card took a little more time than the following two, but I thought it was well worth it and plan to do it again…now that I’ve done the harder work to figure it all out. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Next up, I have these sweet little Thank You cards. I love the simplicity of these cherries and how you don’t need to add too much to make them shine.

I die cut the Petite Scallop Square Stacklets to create that panel before adding the Open Scalloped Circle die from the kit. I also added several scoring details to all these pieces to give a little texture on each piece of background.

I think these could be simplified even further if you wanted or I think even making them verbatim wasn’t that intensive. I have a pile of cherries stamped and ready to go on my desk, so I might just go ahead and make a few more of this design. ๐Ÿ™‚

To polish it all off, I added some stitching and Clear Drip Drops. Oh and the stickers!!! Ahhhhhh I always adore the stickers. I have quite a stash of them now, because I rarely send a card out without them. So now, I need to grab a few more of these sweet cherry stickers too! Especially for all my summer cards! ๐Ÿ™‚

4th of July Release from Taylored Expressions!

Taylored Expressions has a New Release today and it is full of Summer Goodness–it’s the 4th of July Release! ๐Ÿ™‚ It not only celebrates all things patriotic, but it also gives us products to thank those who are serving and have served. And of course, if you take a step back and imagine all the things in different colors, they can be used for many occasions beyond the patriotic theme. ๐Ÿ™‚

First up, we have Mr. Uncle Sam. Can we call him Mr. Uncle Sam? Not sure, but either way, these cutie little images in the Uncle Sam Stamp & Stencil Combo that Heather whipped up are perfect to celebrate!

This set is similar to those in the past, with a larger red rubber background stamp and then the stamps to fill in all the little things super easy. You do NOT need to color–love that! I mean, I love to color, but there is something satisfying about just stamping in all the fills and done! ๐Ÿ™‚ And there are A LOT of fills to choose from. I stamped out a whole bunch, and then I ended up using three with the same top of hat fills in the uppermost row. How does that happen? haaaa! I finished this off with some stitching and some Drip Drops for added 4th of July sparkle and done! ๐Ÿ™‚

I created the background with the Full Circle-Patriotic stamp white heat embossed. I die cut that circle out with the Stitched Circle Stacklets. To create the card base, I cut strips of cardstock and then die cut that with the Petite Scallop Square Stacklets. I popped everything together with some foam tape and added some Drip Drops for interest and boom, Happy 4th of July! ๐Ÿ™‚

Next up, there is a SUPER fun new Rotating Stencil called: Superstar Rotating Stencil…go figure! ๐Ÿ™‚ This gives the look of several layered stencils but with only ONE stencil! You just blend in your colors and rotate. Repeat four times and whammo! Done!

I thought it would be fun to veer off the patriotic path and make a sweet card, perfect for our son! Of course, I pulled out Gus & Gertie to help this task be executed. The NEW Building Blocks sentiments from the Building BlocksBrave Editions helped this come together in a flash!

I used lots of colors to make this extra STARtastic! Cherry Pop, Candy Corn, Lemon Meringue, Cilantroย and Blueberry.

To finish off the panel, I used the Stitched Rectangle Stacklets, along with the Diagonal Stitched Rectangle Stacklets. I love how sweet this turned out! โค

New Interactive fun from Taylored Expressions!

There is a new release over atย  Taylored Expressions today and it is an exciting one–Theater Fold Cards! AND lots of new goodies that work well with this concept or for any card, as you’ll hopefully see below too! ๐Ÿ™‚

This fantastic Hello is from the Oh My Word-Hello set and it has quickly and efficiently worked it’s way into my most used pile. LOVE. IT. I stamped Hello with a few different color ink pads to achieve that ombre look.

TE is creating and packaging the little side Theater Fold panels for you to purchase. Yes, you can absolutely cut, trim and score these on your own, no problem. But I’m telling you, order them. ๐Ÿ˜‚! You will be glad you did. They are making them in Sugar Cube and Toffee and they will save you time because the accuracy is already done for you–sold! And I don’t know about you, but if I can just grab and create, I will make more of these vs. having to cut and score and measure. It’s by no means hard, at all, I’m just keeping it real. ๐Ÿ™‚

You then use the Theater Fold Die to create both the frame and the two little strips that the panels slide through to open up (They are on the underside, so you cannot see them in the photos). The strips have the score lines impressed so there is no guess work there. Easy peasy! Simple adhere those two strips and slide these pre-cut, pre-scored Theater Fold panels through and voila!

I created this lovely floral frame with the Best Buds Stamp and Stencil set, which I have also been using a lot lately (see my Mother’s Day cards in my feed HERE). It’s so quick and easy to get a background. I colored in the leaves with different green Copic Markers on this card. ๐Ÿ™‚

This sweet little image inside is from the new Bitty Borders stamp set and I also used the new coordinating Bitty Borders die. This new Bitty Borders set is chock full of cuteness–you’ve been warned! ๐Ÿ™‚

I am digging this Peaches n Cream and Sprinkles combo a lot lately. ๐Ÿ™‚

For the inside, I used the Here Comes the Sun stencil with both Lemon Meringue and Pineapple inks blended in. At first I only had the back panel and and then once I assembled it, I thought hmmmm that needs to go up the sides. So I sprayed my stencil with Pixie Spray and laid it right over I stenciled before and added the rays on the side. When I was finished, I was so glad I did! What a fun effect that makes inside with this cool Theater Fold.

I added a Lavender Glaze little heart from the Hearts die and done. When interactive cards take too many steps or layers or time, I lose interest pretty fast. I love to make them, but rarely go back to make another. THIS ONE, however, is 1-2-3 easy, especially if you have the Theater Panels already cut and scored from TE. Bing Bang Pow done! LOVED that. ๐Ÿ™‚

Next up, I used the Oh My Word-Birthday stamp and the sweet candles from the Bitty Borders set to create this Birthday card. I am wishing I had made a stack of these so I could actually get my birthday cards out on time! ๐Ÿ™‚

Again, I hopped on the Peaches n Cream & Sprinkles bandwagon I seem to be aboard and colored the candles with Copic Markers. I used the Mini Slim- On the Dot stencil to create a little background interest.ย  Again, I used Sprinkles at the bottom of the panel and faded up to Confetti Cake…then Salt Water Taffy, for the topmost color.

I made the panel using the Petite Scallop Square Stacklets and the more recently released,ย  Diagonal Stitched Squares. These two sets of stacklets, along with the Rectangle versions of each are used often in my cardmaking, in case you haven’t noticed. ๐Ÿ™‚ They are always a good addition. I stamped the Happy Birthday twice. I stamped it once directly on the panel for the Happy and then again with a dark to light ombre on some Sugar Cube before die cutting it out. I love the idea of making these and mailing Birthday cards on time– ha! ๐Ÿ™‚

Next up, I HAD TO use this cutie little rainbow stamp from the Bitty Borders set. I kept things pretty simple. In doing that, I know I can go back and make more without feeling overwhelmed with aย  lot of work or steps. Always a win in my book.

For the background, I die cut the second size of the Frame in Frame 2 die. Then, I used the Set the Scene- Clouds with Sprinkles ink gently. Once I finished that, I added a few ink splatters. I colored the cutie rainbows with Copic Markers and used foam tape to adhere them, after stamping this sweet sentiment from the Oh My Word- Thank You set.ย I will use that one often! ๐Ÿ™‚

I added some stitched and adhered both the little rainbows and the whole panel with foam adhesive. Done! These new Bitty Borders would make quick work of making a card set for gifting. ๐Ÿ™‚

All these products are available now over at Taylored Expressions. See my links below to make things easier. ๐Ÿ™‚

St. Paddy’s Day Release from TE!

Today is a lucky day! It’s the St. Patrick’s Day release over at Taylored Expressions! ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s all about the Shamrocks and Good Luck! This new release is available at Taylored Expressions today! ๐Ÿ™‚

First up, I thought I’d share this cards using the new Shake your Shamrock Stamp & Die Combo along with the new Mini Strips – St. Patrick’s Day. I thought it would be delightful to take a turn from the greens of St. Pat’s and go for the RAINBOW!

The way this stencil layers over the stamped stems (which I stamped in Mushroom) is so much fun. It’s very easy to do and I want to do all the color combos! ๐Ÿ™‚ The sweet shapes along with these sweet colors makes me happy! ๐Ÿ™‚

I decided to layer in a few Shamrocks using the Little Bits – Shamrocks die underneath the Simple Strips cut with the Mini Strips – Asymmetrical Die. So sweet!

Next up, we have some more traditional St. Paddy’s day colors and icons–cutie leprechauns from the new Lucky Leprechaun Cling & Clear Combo. You’ll have to check out this stamp because it works like the previously released Snowman and Pumpkins, etc. where the stencil that accompanies it fits perfectly in the spaces left. For my card, I decided to just use that Lucky Leprechaun Stencil to stencil on bundles of Shamrocks!

Shenanigans?! Yes! haaaa haaa! I love this little sentiment from the new Mini Strips – St. Patrick’s Day. For this I just used the Mini Strips Die.

I used the Petite Scallop Square Stacklets and added that to a scored panel. I think these little guys are so cute and I love how this came together. I still have a bunch of leprechauns on my desk and I think they need a home too! ๐Ÿ™‚

All these products are available now over at Taylored Expressions.
