Taylored Expressions is Celebrating 11!

Happiest of craftastic Birthdays to Taylored Expressions –TE is celebrating 11 years! And lucky us, we get to party! 🙂

This first card features the new Big Grumpy Stamp & Die Combo, Big Grumpy – Birthday and Big Cake. This bear speaks my language! 🙂 The sentiments in this set are SO FUN!! 🙂

Isn’t he soooo funny with his grumpy little face and this sentiment—TOO fun! The background with the candles from Big Cake is a perfect accent the “bonfire” feel. haaaaa!

He looks all innocent on this pink card–I find that a laugh in itself.  😉

Next up, I have a fun new card using the Party Pennants Background and Simple Strips – Birthday.

If you are unfamiliar with the Simple Strips Background, I highly recommend checking them out because they are ingenious and awesome. And this one works with the original die. This is the new one, Simple Strips – Birthday.

I also used the new die, Caps Lock – YAY, which is right up my alley–because I love this simple block font. I colored the background with Copics and added some stitching for a fun little touch. 🙂 A shout out to my sewing machine for being good and not messing up my cards on the last step. I mean, it has happened, but I am guessing it is generally a user error? Maybe? Wink.

I used the Petite Scalloped dies for both of these too! 🙂

Be sure to check out all the goodness the Creative Team has made to celebrate TE’s 11 years!! 🙂

Taylored Expressions Sneak Peeks! Day 1

Hello! Are you ready for Taylored Expressions new August Release?!  Let’s get this party started!

This first card features the new Foliage Background, Shiplap Background, and Handlettered Sentiments & Dies. When I first saw this background, I thought it was lovely, but after I stamped it, it jumped to a favorite! ❤ I used two different greens and added a little flower from the new Fresh Picked Florals.

These sentiments though: ❤ ❤ ❤ –and the fact that you can die cut them out and add them to a card like this–just awesome! 🙂 For the Shiplap Background, I lightened the gray ink by stamping off once before stamping on my cardstock. It worked perfectly to create a slight backdrop here.

Gah! Just love how this turned out in the end. Anyone else ever surprised after you finish something? ha!! 🙂 (I’m just going to tell you now, you NEED the Shiplap Background.  😉 )

Next up, I have another lovely floral card using the new Fresh Picked Florals.

Honestly, I am not typically a floral person, but good gracious! These are lovely how they layer aren’t they?! Just love how this ink color combo turned out too! Bright and fresh!  AND I used purple! whooooop!! 😉

The little banner at the top is from the new Simply Smitten set. It worked perfectly for this card along with another sentiment from the new Handlettered Sentiments and dies! I’m a big fan! 🙂

I love the Petite Scalloped dies for both of these too! 🙂

Love

Happy Monday! I’m here to share another project with the new Taylored Expressions Blender Brushes! You can sign up HERE to be notified when the next batch is available to order!

This one is a sweet little number with just a tiny hint of color that I think makes it both elegant with a touch of sweetness. 🙂 Also, if you haven’t checked out the Simple Strips Background, I highly recommend that too–link below! It is GENIUS and forever used here. 🙂

I really didn’t think I could pull this off, as I am generally heavy handed in most things I do–especially blending and coloring! But it worked! I looooooooove the fade! Gah!

I blended inks on cardstock before die cutting the word love out. You could make this the reverse order, but I didn’t want the edges to be dark from from the brush. I die cut the Better Half Cutting Plates and adhered them down before die cutting again with the Petite Scallop Stacklets.

You can find all my supplies and links to the Taylored Expressions Shop below.

Love:

Check it all out over at Taylored Expressions! These brushes are WELL loved here already.

Taylored Expressions: December Release!

Welcome to Release Day for Taylored Expressions December Release!

This first card features the new sentiment set which clearly is right up my alley. It’s called Shenanigans and it is full of funny sentiments to send to friends and family. 🙂

This little cutie dog is from the new Punny Notes set–seriously fun! 🙂 I colored him with Copic markers and brushed on a little landscape for him to stand on before scoring the panel and adding the stitching. I have to make a couple of these and send them to friends that would probably get a kick out of them. ❤

Next Up, I used You Make My Heart Soar with the Accordion Heart. How sweet is this new set? And that Accordion Heart makes me happy!

Again, I colored this bike with Copic Markers and die cut it out. I embossed the background with the Petite Scalloped Square Stacklets. I used the Set the Scene – Cloud Stencils for the background texture and of course, finished it all off with some stitching! It so adorable floating through the air! 🙂

Taylored Expressions Release Week: Day 3

Welcome to Day Three of Taylored Expressions December Release Week! If you missed my other two posts earlier this week,  I’ll link you up down below. 🙂

Today, I am sharing two cards full of Valentine’s Love. The first uses the new Backstory Valentine. For this, I stamped the background with  Fruit Punch ink pad on some Sugar Cube cardstock. I’m telling you, it is spot on for Fruit Punch color. ❤

I also used this new Just My Type stamp. I thought it would be fun in Sprinkles. I added some patterned paper to the base after cutting it with the Petite Scalloped Square Stacklets after reverse scoring it. Then I added some stitching and voila! 🙂

Next up, we have a fun gift giving card using the new Cutting Edge Hearts Stamp & Die Combo. For this used the new Fruit Punch cardstock.

It unfortunately doesn’t show up in these photos, but the Sugar Cube cardstock is white heat embossed with the new Lots of Love stencil. It looks great in person! 🙂

I just die cut the rest of the colors to match the front one and layered them up in the back, adding some stitching to finish it all off. I thought this would be fun for a teacher in February. ❤

Taylored Expressions Release Week! Day 1

Hello! Welcome to my first release post for Taylored Expressions! Oh Happy Day!! I am so excited to share the projects I have worked on this week. Hopefully you find some inspiration of your own for the amazing TE Creative Team too! 🙂

For these first cards, I used the new Framed Script Hello. I also had fun using the new colors of cardstock: Fruit Punch, Gumball and Mushroom! I actually love them all together. It creates a fun combo.

I just cut up a bunch of cardstock strips and glued them to some paper. Then I die cut through them, saving all the pieces to enable making TWO cards! Whoohoooo! 🙂

After inlaying/gluing all the pieces in some scored cardstock, I added some stitching to finish them off.

I just love how these turned out!

The next card I made with the new Hearts in Bloom Background. I wasn’t sure how this was going to turn out, but in the end, I enjoy the more refined stamp with the funny little sentiment from Sarcasti-chick’s Winter Closet. Cracks me up! 🙂

I stamped these with Oreo ink and colored them in with Copic Markers. To finish it off, I added some stitching.

I also used the Petite Scalloped Square Stacklets. They are square, obviously, but I just partially die cut the panel and then cut the other end. It’s a great way to stretch your dies!
