MFT Sketch #278

Here’s my take on MFT Sketch Challenge #278! This comes from the My Favorite Things Challenge & Inspiration Blog!photoI soooo enjoy the MFT Cover-Ups. πŸ™‚

hawkins_jill_thank u really_wmI blocked the card stocks and then die cut the panel. After that was cut, I inlaid the pieces, alternating their original positions.Β  I thought I’d reinforced the channel ways with some white strips.Β  Enjoyable. πŸ˜‰hawkins_jill_thank u really_00_wmMy card is made with supplies at My Favorite Things. Die-namics: Four Way Chevron Cover-Up, Stitched Fishtail Flag STAX, Blueprints 13. Stamps: Thanks So Very Much. MFT Sketch 267, Turtley Cool

Squeaking in my take on MFT Sketch Challenge #267! (Check it out: My Favorite Things Challenge & Inspiration blog.)photoThis turtle from Birdie Brown: <3. I flipped the sketch a little and tweaked it, but it’s there! πŸ™‚

hawkins_jill_aloha_wmShe’s basking in the Sun! Ahhhh Sun! πŸ™‚

hawkins_jill_aloha_00_wmI colored this Turtle for Day 15 of Kathy Racoosin’s The Daily Marker, 30 Day Color Challenge. I completed Kathy’s last 30 Day challenge, and I figured this time I would try to do part time. But so far, I’ve managed every day! Which is great, because I usually spend my time die cutting! πŸ™‚

My card is made with the following supplies at My Favorite Things: Die-namics: Stitched Traditional Tag STAX, Die-namics Stitched Fishtail Flags STAX, Die-namics Stitched Mini Scalloped Circles STAX. Stamps: BB Polynesian Paradise. Card stock and Black Licorice Hybrid ink. Patterned Paper: My Mind’s Eye.

MFT Sketch #248

photoMFT Sketch Challenge #248 rolls out today on the My Favorite Things Challenge & InspirationΒ Blog today!

This week’s sketch:MFT_WSC_248Here is my take this week:

hawkins_jill_thank you really_wmKeeping it simple and bold. I enjoy using simply detailed supplies in different ways. The MFT Stitched STAX are really the best dies one can invest in. The possibilities!! πŸ™‚ AND this sentiment is one of my all time favorites. PerfectO! The stitching is the nod to the stars in the sketch.

hawkins_jill_thank you really_00_wmIn my continuing effort to create cards faster (Never fear…I’ll always be very slow too!), I made this second card:

hawkins_jill_fella_wmI’m really enjoy the buildings and little scene pieces in the London Mouse set. But I was neglecting these cute little fellas! Awww…and they are cute! πŸ™‚ Errr, I mean, handsome. πŸ˜‰

Here’s my card for the week: hawkins_jill_good luck love_wmI mean: Really. Too too! I thought the stitching added the finishing touch. MFT Sketch #221…

photoSketch Challenge #221 takes off today on My Favorite Things Challenge & Inspiration blog!! Be sure to head over and see all the DT cards–sure to be fabulous!

Here’s a peek at my card this week: Jellybeans! On. A. Cake! πŸ™‚

hawkins_jill_sketch 221_0_wmHere’s the sketch πŸ™‚ (My card above sort of mixes up the elements a bit. ha!)MFT_WSC_221Fortunately, I was able to make a bonus card! Here it is! πŸ˜‰

hawkins_jill_sketch 221_01_wmI laugh while I’m making inlaid cards. I don’t know if I do things backwards or the hard way or what, but it’s a process! I sometimes think I do it backwards, but I think that’s the way you have to do it? Honestly, I often make things as I go, so maybe that’s it? πŸ˜‰ Either way, I laugh A LOT. πŸ™‚

hawkins_jill_sketch 221_001_wmNaturally, I added the Peep. It is Peep season after all, right? Oh, and this sentiment combines two sentiments together. Another habit πŸ˜‰

This card is made with the following supplies at My Favorite Things: Blueprints #23, In & Out Diagonally Stitched Rectangles, Die-namics Candy Jars, Stitched Circle STAX, LJD All My Love (dies), BG Diagonal Stripes,Β Candy Jar Companions, Totally Happy,Β  (stamps), Razzleberry, Tickled Pink, After Midnight, Steel Blue (Card Stock), Black Licorice (hybrid ink), Steel Blue (dye ink) πŸ™‚

hawkins_jill_sketch 220_01_wmHere’s the sketch πŸ™‚ MFT_WSC_220Here’s another take on this sketch. I sort of reversed the shapes on this one…circles for rectangle, rectangle for circle πŸ™‚ Again, with the stripes. I decided I can’t stop. I just love them too much πŸ˜‰

hawkins_jill_sketch 220_0_wmhawkins_jill_sketch 220_00_wmThis is one of those cards when you have an idea in your head & then you end up with a different result that wasn’t quite your vision. Oh well. I enjoyed making it nonetheless. πŸ˜‰
