New Interactive fun from Taylored Expressions!

There is a new release over at  Taylored Expressions today and it is an exciting one–Theater Fold Cards! AND lots of new goodies that work well with this concept or for any card, as you’ll hopefully see below too! 🙂

This fantastic Hello is from the Oh My Word-Hello set and it has quickly and efficiently worked it’s way into my most used pile. LOVE. IT. I stamped Hello with a few different color ink pads to achieve that ombre look.

TE is creating and packaging the little side Theater Fold panels for you to purchase. Yes, you can absolutely cut, trim and score these on your own, no problem. But I’m telling you, order them. 😂! You will be glad you did. They are making them in Sugar Cube and Toffee and they will save you time because the accuracy is already done for you–sold! And I don’t know about you, but if I can just grab and create, I will make more of these vs. having to cut and score and measure. It’s by no means hard, at all, I’m just keeping it real. 🙂

You then use the Theater Fold Die to create both the frame and the two little strips that the panels slide through to open up (They are on the underside, so you cannot see them in the photos). The strips have the score lines impressed so there is no guess work there. Easy peasy! Simple adhere those two strips and slide these pre-cut, pre-scored Theater Fold panels through and voila!

I created this lovely floral frame with the Best Buds Stamp and Stencil set, which I have also been using a lot lately (see my Mother’s Day cards in my feed HERE). It’s so quick and easy to get a background. I colored in the leaves with different green Copic Markers on this card. 🙂

This sweet little image inside is from the new Bitty Borders stamp set and I also used the new coordinating Bitty Borders die. This new Bitty Borders set is chock full of cuteness–you’ve been warned! 🙂

I am digging this Peaches n Cream and Sprinkles combo a lot lately. 🙂

For the inside, I used the Here Comes the Sun stencil with both Lemon Meringue and Pineapple inks blended in. At first I only had the back panel and and then once I assembled it, I thought hmmmm that needs to go up the sides. So I sprayed my stencil with Pixie Spray and laid it right over I stenciled before and added the rays on the side. When I was finished, I was so glad I did! What a fun effect that makes inside with this cool Theater Fold.

I added a Lavender Glaze little heart from the Hearts die and done. When interactive cards take too many steps or layers or time, I lose interest pretty fast. I love to make them, but rarely go back to make another. THIS ONE, however, is 1-2-3 easy, especially if you have the Theater Panels already cut and scored from TE. Bing Bang Pow done! LOVED that. 🙂

Next up, I used the Oh My Word-Birthday stamp and the sweet candles from the Bitty Borders set to create this Birthday card. I am wishing I had made a stack of these so I could actually get my birthday cards out on time! 🙂

Again, I hopped on the Peaches n Cream & Sprinkles bandwagon I seem to be aboard and colored the candles with Copic Markers. I used the Mini Slim- On the Dot stencil to create a little background interest.  Again, I used Sprinkles at the bottom of the panel and faded up to Confetti Cake…then Salt Water Taffy, for the topmost color.

I made the panel using the Petite Scallop Square Stacklets and the more recently released,  Diagonal Stitched Squares. These two sets of stacklets, along with the Rectangle versions of each are used often in my cardmaking, in case you haven’t noticed. 🙂 They are always a good addition. I stamped the Happy Birthday twice. I stamped it once directly on the panel for the Happy and then again with a dark to light ombre on some Sugar Cube before die cutting it out. I love the idea of making these and mailing Birthday cards on time– ha! 🙂

Next up, I HAD TO use this cutie little rainbow stamp from the Bitty Borders set. I kept things pretty simple. In doing that, I know I can go back and make more without feeling overwhelmed with a  lot of work or steps. Always a win in my book.

For the background, I die cut the second size of the Frame in Frame 2 die. Then, I used the Set the Scene- Clouds with Sprinkles ink gently. Once I finished that, I added a few ink splatters. I colored the cutie rainbows with Copic Markers and used foam tape to adhere them, after stamping this sweet sentiment from the Oh My Word- Thank You set. I will use that one often! 🙂

I added some stitched and adhered both the little rainbows and the whole panel with foam adhesive. Done! These new Bitty Borders would make quick work of making a card set for gifting. 🙂

All these products are available now over at Taylored Expressions. See my links below to make things easier. 🙂

Like Gnome Other TE Kit!

Happy Tuesday! Today, we are celebrating the NEW super cuteness of the Like Gnome Other Kit Release from Taylored Expressions! This kit is available over at Taylored Expressions NOW, December 8th!

The gnome stamps, Like Gnome Other are about the cutest! There are coordinating dies to match. Love. Them.

I colored them with Copic Markers and I thought they turned out a-ok. I do struggle with Red Copics though! ha! 🙂

This first one uses the cute fence called Build a Scene Fence and Hill. This fence is the bees knees with it’s little hearts! Gah!

I used the Set the Scenes-Cloud Strips for the clouds and the little hill I blended with some pale ink. Just a hint of green.

These two! ❤

Next up, I have this shaker card with these cutie little hearts. (I’m going to need some more of these….shhhhh). I used the Stitched Circle Stacklets to create this window.

I used the background stamp in the kit called Cable Knit Background. This stamp is so cozy! I adore these little mushrooms though! Eeek! They are called: Layer It: Toadstools. She’s so cute peeking in! ❤

I might have to make a card just with the Toadstools. 😉 OH and the stickers!! OMGoodness–I ❤ THESE! So fun!

Taylored Expressions: Farm Kit Release!

Welcome back! Today we are celebrating a fun release for the Farm Kit Release from Taylored Expressions! This set is available over at Taylored Expressions TODAY, June 30th.

These little farm animals are adorable and the bonus is, their heads and bodies are two different stamps. The fun of this is that you can tilt their heads however you’d like and you can add the TE Wobblers! And they are included in the kit.

First up, I had to use the horse and the barn. I colored everything with Copic Markers and fussy cut out the barn. For the background, I used the new Grass Stencil (hooray!) as well as the Set the Scene-Cloud Stencils I already had. I die cut all that out with the Frame in Frame 2 die.

I love this punny sentiment, and of course, the fun sticker that matches when I pop it in the mail! 🙂

There is a handful of envelopes included in the kit, so you are all set to make and send these fun cards out straightaway!

Next up, I had to use the sweet little cow. And to make her even sweeter, I used the Gingham Background stamp in the kit and did so in Cupcake. To create just this rectangle of inked space, I used the TE Masking Stencils-Rectangles and blended in some Cupcake ink first, using the TE Blender Brushes. After that, I stamped the Gingham stamp tone on tone again using Cupcake. Because I left the Rectangle Masking Stencil on, it really only stamped in the center of the area, and I liked the look of that. 😉

It’s an Udder Birthday!! Gahhh! I do love puns! 🙂 I added some scoring and cut it all out with the Petite Scallop Rectangle Stacklets.

I thought this little cutie was so sweet and would be fun to receive in the mail for one’s birthday! 🙂

Lastly, I had to get this little Chickie on a card! 🙂

In addition to the grass stencil, I used the Hexagon Masking Stencil and the Here Comes the Sun stencils to create this background for my Copic colored elements. Just Chicken In! I ❤ it! 🙂

The new Taylored Expressions Farm Kit Release is so fun! I so enjoy all the little goodies inside and that they are all in a great pouch with the cute Farm Kit sticker on it. This makes it easy to store and keep them all together. I have this one next to my previously released TE Rainbow Card Kit. 🙂

TE Quad Colors!

Hello and welcome to a fun week over at Taylored Expressions! It’s time to give your “color go-to choices” a shake up! The TE Creative Team has really enjoyed this exercise of Quad Colors to get out of our “normal” go-to colors! Such fun! Here are all the colors below. Be sure to check out all the fun over on the TE Blog and links to all the cards!

Today, I will start out with the Quad Color called Dublin.

I thought it would be fun to create a background with a masking stencil using this combo–because–well, they blend like butta’ together! 🙂

I love this little unicorn and pegasus–Dreamer! They are so stinkin’ adorable. I colored them with Copic Markers and added all the little extras to make the card extra fun! 🙂 Also, I just love this sentiment! 🙂

Next up, I have the Quad Color Paris:

I love how this card came together so swiftly and lovely. This is perfect to send someone when they just need a little pick me up. ❤

Believe it or not, I do not consider myself a pastel person, so I was thinking I’d struggle with this overall pastel combo….but nope! This card came together quickly with the help of the set Spring Stems. This set has so many stamps to choose from, but I decided on simple with a repeating leaf.

I stamped everything out and then added some stitching and kept the rest pretty clean. 🙂

In a stark contrast to the perky colorful Quad Color Combos I have already used here today, now I switch over to the Quad Color called Patagonia:

I actually like using grays and such, so I think there are several possibilities with this one too. For this card, I used the Toffee color as my neutral vs. my usual, Sugar Cube. I thought it was fun to make a laughable card:

What have I done? haaaaa!! 🙂 I have to laugh because he let the camper go and run down the hill!!  ahhhh! 🙂 Run and catch it little dude!!

The little On the Road -Camper combined with the Fluffy Friends is perfect for a laugh! 🙂 I colored him Copic Markers. I also die cut the hills with the Snow Drifts die and added some Toffee ink with the TE Blender Brushes before stitching over the top. The Here Comes the Sun creates the perfect subtle background for this fun scene.

You can find all my supplies and links to the Taylored Expressions Shop below. Also, here’s a sweet little reminder below about shipping you might want to take advantage of this Crafty Month…possibly. Maybe? 😉

Grumpy Unicorn

Hello! Happy Sunday! Lots of time at home for us ahead, so I made a fun card to share using Taylored Expressions Mythical Grumplings set! So fun!!

Love this set! ❤

Haaaa! He’s so funny! I  blended on Cupcake ink with the TE Blender Brushes and stenciled over the the Stencil Strips-Clouds stencils. I colored him with Copic markers.

Here’s a quick little video link below of me making most of the card. I am not a video person, so let me lower your expectations now before you watch it! 🙂

Taylored Expressions meets Laurie Willison!

Oh happiest of crafty days today to finally share this AWESOMENESS!!! My friend, Laurie Willison thought up this fantastic and oh so handy new set of stencils and they are available now from Taylored Expressions! I’ve waited so long to say this, so I will say it again: These stencils are available over at Taylored Expressions now! 😊

My first card today uses one of the new circle stencils in a different way than I’ve mostly used them for. And let me tell you how quick this is! Imagine the possibilities! Gah!!

I recommend spraying the stencils with Thermoweb’s Pixie Spray for quick and easy up stick to your cardstock. (You can also simple secure with Purple Tape.) I then just wipe the stencil clean with a dry cloth between blending on colors and it goes really swiftly!

I love the simplicity of these stencils and the ease of them. Rainbow action for the win! 🙂 I used a sentiment from the Handlettered Sentiments and coordinating dies. Those are a fave set!

Next up, an example of what I pretty much  use these awesome stencils for all the time–masking off a frame on my card fronts. I have always used a t-ruler, pencil and post-it tape/notes. Yes, this method is still just fine. But NOW, soooo quick and easy with these stencils. PLUS, I don’t have to erase pencil lines–and risk smearing inks. AND I don’t get pencil lines trapped under ink! Hooray!!

Of course, I had to use the  Set the Scene Clouds with these stencils. For a full stencil, I put the stencil on the bottom and the masking stencil over top. But because these clouds are in strips and you have to move them, I did the masking stencil on the bottom and the clouds on top. Naturally, Big Grumpy had to make another appearance with his little sign of too peopley! Which just makes me laugh every time. 😉

I love that you can create this layered look in one layer, if you wanted to! These stencils are an essential cardmaking staple in my mind! 🙂 Way to go, LDubs!! ❤ I’m excited for Laurie and Taylored Expressions that this all came together! 🙂

The stencils have etched lines to show where to put your card panel or card base. One outline is for a full A2 card and the other is for a “typical” card front panel (matte, if you will), 4 x 5.25.

Here’s a little tip: You can rub in a little acrylic paint into the grooves and it make the lines more evident without interfering with the use of the stencil in anyway. And the paint stays on there. I used white, but you could use any bright color you want to create contrast.

Taylored Expressions: December Release!

Welcome to Release Day for Taylored Expressions December Release!

This first card features the new sentiment set which clearly is right up my alley. It’s called Shenanigans and it is full of funny sentiments to send to friends and family. 🙂

This little cutie dog is from the new Punny Notes set–seriously fun! 🙂 I colored him with Copic markers and brushed on a little landscape for him to stand on before scoring the panel and adding the stitching. I have to make a couple of these and send them to friends that would probably get a kick out of them. ❤

Next Up, I used You Make My Heart Soar with the Accordion Heart. How sweet is this new set? And that Accordion Heart makes me happy!

Again, I colored this bike with Copic Markers and die cut it out. I embossed the background with the Petite Scalloped Square Stacklets. I used the Set the Scene – Cloud Stencils for the background texture and of course, finished it all off with some stitching! It so adorable floating through the air! 🙂
