New Over the Moon Kit from TE!

Taylored Expressions has a new Cardmaking Kit in town and it just might be out of this world–aka Over the Moon! πŸ™‚

The kit comes with these great sentiments and the Copper Star Shaker bits–not to mention there FABULOUS envelopes! eeek!

I started out using the Foil It-Over the Moon Panels (which can be purchased separately if you are a foiler. They are funnnnnnn! I foiled one in rainbow and one in silver.

I think I might favor the rainbow one? Hmmmmm πŸ™‚

Here’s a better pic of the rainbow one. That foiling though–so hard to capture in still photos.

I Silver Heat embossed the sentiments on Blue Corn and cut them out with the die in the kit. They are a little shiny when you see them in person. I tucked in some Easy Strips cut out of Sugar Cube behind them, to give them a little “lift” on the card front.

I used TE’s Silver Cardstock for the back panel and also used it to die cut out the stars that are also in the kit. All this shimmer sham!! πŸ™‚

This one turned out fun for sure!

Next up, I decided to shake things up a bit! I created a shaker card using the bits included in the card kit as well as adding some additional Snow Flurries and Bits & Pieces Sparkly Stars.

If you run the Moon Die back through your die cut machine with an Embossing Pad, you’ll get this great little texture on your Moon.

I added the die cut start to this one too cut out of the same Sea Salt Cardstock. I love that the panels are Blue Corn and foil-able! πŸ™‚

I die cut out the Sea Salt panel with the Petite Scallop Rectangle Stacklets. Added some stitching and this one is ready to go–Over the Moon!

Here’s the scoop from TE:

New Celebrate YOU from TE!

Taylored Expressions has a new Cardmaking Kit in town today and it is called Celebrate You! It is a super fun one because you can make infinity shakers galore! And foil! And stamp! And—well, there is a lot of fun to be had in this one! πŸ™‚

First up, I wanted to use the Easy Strips to create a background that I die cut with the Petite Scallop Rectangle Stacklet and the Diagonal Stitched Rectangle Stacklet. I then tucked that panel inside the Infinity Shaker panel with the Shaker Dots included in the kit.

The words are created with the foiled Acetate Panel “Let’s Celebrate You” that is also in the kit. I foiled that with the Silver Stars foil. I put that on the background, which ultimately made taking photos hard, but in person, it is fun!! Ha!! πŸ™‚

This next card includes the previously released Bits and Pieces-Confetti Dots which look good enough to eat–But DON’T! haaaaa! They are made of clay and that would be bad. I love these though. I need to order more because I might have used all mine now. πŸ˜‰

I white heat embossed with Let’s Celebrate You stamp on Blueberry Cardstock and framed that out with the A2 Thin Frame Cutting Plate.Β  I can’t wait to make more these—so simple and yet, it is a party in a card!!

Also, can we just talk about the stickers for a minute?! LOVE. THEM.

Here’s the scoop from TE:

You’ll have everything you need to commemorate all the special occasions in life with our exclusive Celebrate You Cardmaking Kit! From anniversaries, birthdays and retirements to making the grade, earning a spot on the team or achieving something big, show them just how special they are with a card that celebrates that big accomplishment!

Our Celebrate You Cardmaking Kit retails for $62, comes in a zippered pouch with a custom sticker, and includes:

  • Let’s Celebrate You stamp
  • Foil it Acetate – Let’s Celebrate You panels (12 panels)
  • Mini Strips – Let’s Celebrate stamp
  • A2 Infinity Shaker Panels (5 panels)
  • Confetti Maker die
  • Mini Pot of Shaker Dots
  • A2 Envelope Pack (6 envelopes: Lollipop, Lemon Meringue, Candy Corn, Key Lime, Plum Punch, Sugar Cube)
  • Envelope Seal Pack (6 seals)
******Limited quantity available******

Most items are not available to purchase individually.Β You will be able to purchase additional envelope seals (pack of 10), additional A2 Infinity Shaker Panels, and the Mini Strips – Flags die (not included in the kit) separately.

Taylored Expressions: A2 vs. Mini Slim

Happy Tuesday–just popping in to share some Taylored Expressions fun today! Today, the TE Team is focusing on inspiration to show how to use one product to create cards in two different sizes (both A2 and Mini Slim).

First up today, I am using the new Counting Candles Layering Stencils.Β I decided to first make this on a Mini Slim card and so I used both the Mini Slim Stitched Stacklets and the Mini Slim Petite Scallop Stacklets.

These Counting Candles Layering Stencils make quick work of a festive card with fun results quite easily. And I am allllll about the easy! πŸ™‚ You can pick a bunch of different colored inks and create a fun result using several or you can keep it simple with just a few! I went pastel crazy! πŸ™‚ The new little blending brushes make it even easier to do.

I added a little Stickles to the center of the flames too and in person, you can see it much better than in the photo. πŸ™‚

Next up, I did a similar candle approach but this time I cut it out and decided I was going to make a shaker card. I offset the circles this time, just to mix it up a bit.

I colored Millie from the Millie’s Birthday Bash stamp set with Copic Markers.

Nothing says Happy Birthday quite like a shaker card, right? ❀ I just offset the circles and used the TE Foam Strips to create the shaker window, adding the Rainbow Sprinkles, Sparkly Stars and Hearts. Easy peesy.

Oh and all the little sentiments and details are from the Counting Candles Add-On Stamp set.

These both turned out Birthdaytastic and the stencil works wonderfully on both sizes of cards: A2 and Mini Slim. It’s fun to see them side by side in the end. πŸ™‚

All these products are available now over at Taylored Expressions.

And here’s the scoop:

If any of the main products that the TE Creative Team used on their projects caught your eye, we are making them available to you for 30% off through this Sunday, May 9thΒ or while supplies last.Β Here are the sets included in the sale:

I added a bazillion little sequins and bits from my stash. I can’t even tell you where they are from, because I just kept throwing colors in! πŸ™‚

I scored the panel and added some stitching for added texture. I would super love to receive a colorful happy card like this, so I’m hoping someone else will too!

Hello… Friday!

AreΒ  you ready for the weekend? I am! Though I have lots to do, so I probably shouldn’t be–haaaaa!

Today I’m sharing a card using the NEWΒ Paper Smooches Tiny Stars! OH my stars! I love how festive this shaker turned out! πŸ™‚ You cannot beat having this little die around for stars o’plenty!

For the frame I used Paper Smooches Postage Stamp dies. The background is the new Stitched Square Die. (I dry embossed that. Those dies are probably my favorite for doing embossing! Perfect texture πŸ™‚ ) The Hello is another favorite die from PS (Layered Hello Die), because you can use just one *hello* or layer it! πŸ˜‰

I hope you have had a minute to check out all the new stitching dies from Paper Smooches!

Also, be sure to pop over to the Paper Smooches Blog and check out Kim’s wonderfully exciting news about her family’s new adventure! I’m so very happy for her! ❀ ❀

Paper Smooches fun!

Fortunately, I have not been voted off the island as February Guest Designer at Paper Smooches!! πŸ˜‰ Such fun to use some of my favorites!! Hop over to the PS Blog today!

I will not mention how long this first card took to land on. I tinkered and tinkered and tinkered, and then #boom. Funny how the simplest things take me quite a long time! πŸ˜‰

The sentiments and fonts in the new Fun & Flirty stamp set can truly hold a card, as you can see here:   hawkins_jill_wonderful_wmI mean, really. That’s fun. πŸ™‚

hawkins_jill_wonderful_00_wmFor my second card this week, I used the fun new Wine Glass die! Got things shakin’! πŸ™‚

hawkins_jill_amazing_wmYou are Ridiculously Amazing. My sentiments exactly. Go figure! πŸ™‚ hawkins_jill_amazing_00_wmI’m clearly in a Distress Ink watercolor mode, and the results are fun. I decided I don’t enjoy  when I make cards too “neat”, so this technique is fitting for me to use! If that makes any sense, at all. LOL πŸ™‚

Love Love Love this Fun & Flirty sentiment set! So fortunate to have it on my desk! πŸ™‚

Paper Smooches supplies: Fun & Flirty, and Wine Glass die.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I’ll see you again next Wednesday for my last Paper Smooches Guest Designer post. Wow, that’s crazy–February is flyin’! πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

MFT Sketch #239

photoMFT Sketch Challenge #239 on My Favorite Things Challenge & Inspiration is starting TODAY!

Here is this week’s sketch:MFT_WSC_239This is my card for the week:

hawkins_jill_hope your day_00_wmI so enjoy this little sunny dude! πŸ™‚ The Abstract stencil and background…well, I’ve mentioned my adoration of these many-a-times too! I stamped and embossed the Build-able Blooms for the sun. It ended up a little more subtle than intended, but, alas πŸ™‚

hawkins_jill_hope your day_wmI squeaked in a second card. This one was made in probably five different sit-downs, so it feels a bit disjointed. But, meh, I think it’s kinda fun still πŸ™‚

hawkins_jill_don't know_wm…and I think my stitching went a bit awry πŸ™‚

MFT_ColorChallenge_PaintBook_22Today starts Color Challenge #22 on the My Favorite Things Challenge & Inspiration blog. Head on over there and see what our wickedly talented team busted out this week!

MFTC&I Blog–sure to be FABulous!

Here’s my card for the week:

hawkins_jill_hello_cc_00_wmI double die cut the Jumbo Dot Cover Up after inlaying the first set of circles. When you do this, you can’t exactly tell where you are cutting because the die is solid, but it worked out. πŸ™‚hawkins_jill_hello_cc_wmPolka dots… love ’em! πŸ™‚

I made a second card with some left over dots. It’s been a week of “hmmm, that’s not quite what I was thinking it would look like…”. Too funny. It’s still fun to send a shaker, right?

hawkins_jill_happy cc_00_wmI popped up the black front panel in hopes that Sour Apple would show through the window a bit, but…not so much. Ha!! πŸ˜‰hawkins_jill_happy cc_wmIt’s already growing on me more though. πŸ™‚

A Hug in the Shaker…

PrintToday on the My Favorite Things Blog is the Final Day of SHAKER CARDS!! Confetti everywhere this week!! πŸ™‚

Today’s idea was to show the inside of the card…a Peek-a-boo, if you will. I ended up making the inside basically “the card”. It’s funny how things happen. πŸ˜‰hawkins_jill_can't wait shake_wm hawkins_jill_can't wait shake_00_wmThe scalloped circle is actually from the Die-namics LLD Cupcake Stand set and works fabulously as a centerpiece, don’t you think? πŸ™‚ The tricky part on this one was hiding the foam. I didn’t completely excel on that task, but didn’t want to toss it either. Once again, a “handmade” card right? πŸ˜‰

This card is made with the following supplies at My Favorite Things: Die-namics LLD Cupcake Stand, Die-namics Stitched Circle STAX, Photo Booth, In & Out Diagonal Stitched Rectangle STAX (dies), BG Diagonal Lines Background, CS True Friends (stamps), Black Licorice (hybrid ink), Steel Grey (dye ink), Bubble Gum, Steel Grey, Ripe Raspberry (card stock). πŸ™‚

Hope you too have enjoyed the shaker fun this week!! There are PRIZES each day! πŸ˜‰
