MFT Sketch 268

I thought I wouldn’t make it this week, but here I am! MFT Sketch Challenge #268! (My Favorite Things Challenge & Inspiration blog.)photo

I hope to be back ASAP with a better photo, but I have to use this not-so-good one for now! 🙂

hawkins_jill_celebrate in color_wmLines! Lots of lines. I also enjoy these newer rainbow sentiments and dies. I’m looking forward to really taking them out for a spin! 🙂 I can’t say I love the way the spatters stuck on this. I’ve been using so much watercolor paper, I forgot how blah they look on regular stock.

My card is made with all supplies at My Favorite Things: Die-namics, Stamps, & Card stock.

hawkins_jill_bye_wmI thought it fitting to use some of my most favorite* MFT products on this Sketch card. (More on *this below.) I layered the frame several times, using the After Midnight, along with some Smooth White and some Razzle Berry for POP! 🙂

hawkins_jill_bye_00_wmThis may be the tightest I have ever stuck to the Sketch? Ha! 🙂

Sending Hugs

Yesterday, I shared cards using non-holiday products for making Holiday cards. Today, I’m sharing a card I made using holiday products for non-holiday cards. 🙂 Did you follow that? I barely did! 😉 (Click HERE for yesterday’s post.)

I made this to send some healing hugs a little while back.

hawkins_jill_sendinghugs_wmI used the Winter Wonderland stamp set & dies. When I saw these little envelopes and mailbox, well, that was that. 🙂 It’s one of those stamp sets that I’m glad I have the matching dies for.hawkins_jill_sendinghugs_00_wm Fun with holiday supplies! Stretching those too!! 🙂 And of course, the Sketched Chevron Background stamp…which I think I have used on at least 90% of my cards since it arrived. 😉

There is a little time left to participate in Sketch Challenge #260 and over a week left for joining Color Challenge #36 on the My Favorite Things Challenge & Inspiration blog! Tomorrow is the last MFT Sketch for 2015!! Wait, what?! Wow.

The Final Sweet Sunday Sketch

Today begins the new Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #300. It is also the very last Sweet Sunday Sketch. Dang. I did not enjoy typing that. 😦 *sniff*

The Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge was started by Karen Giron and has been around for 6+ years. What a lovely group of ladies to hang with. ❤

I am so thankful to my sweet, crafty friend Jodi, for asking me along, and to Karen for being so very welcoming and freaking funny! I am so cookoo over these girls talents!

I then, had the pleasure of “meeting” the whole team, and…They. Are. Fabulous. It’s great that everyone brings their own style every week. I so dig that. In the short time I’ve been along, I’ve had so much fun. We can have complete conversations speaking in #hashtags. It is so silly funny, I find myself laughing at my screen. Often.

I am going to miss these ladies every week. They have all been so welcoming to me as a late comer to their small group, and I truly appreciate their inky warmth. 😉

Be sure to click over to the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge Blog post to read more about it. I started reading Karen’s post and had to stop. I will definitely be hopping over to read it today. 😦

Without further adieu, here is the final sketch:

Here is my final Sweet Sunday Sketch card:

hawkins_jill_You_wmI felt this MFT Sentiment was most fabulous for such a goodbye. The light bulb is brilliant, much like this team. Oh, the Sunday fun will be missed.
