Spellbinders: April!

Hope you are having a good week! Today, I am sharing a couple cards I made with Spellbinders S3-398 Even More Sentiments (April Small Die of the Month Add On)! These dies are small but they pack a punch!

You can hop over to the Spellbinders website to check out all the information on Spellbinders S3-398 Even More Sentiments (April Small Die of the Month Add On).

I kept these both pretty simple, but the results are cute. 🙂

Next up, I have a Miss You card perfect to send someone these days. 🙂

The result was simple and sweet.

I hope this helps you see how you too can think how to use this little add on kit all on its own! There’s eight sentiments in all and you find them all HERE. 🙂

While I have you, don’t forget there is also Spellbinders Small Die of the Month Club HERE and Large Die of the Month Club HERE!

Spellbinders Embossing Folders: February!

Hope you are having a great week! Today I am sharing a couple cards I made with Spellbinders Embossing Folders for February! This was my first opportunity to use these embossing folders and what a treat it was!

You can hop over to the Spellbinders website to check out all the information on Spellbinders Embossing Folders for February. I used both the Delhi Cut and Emboss Folder and the Lahaina Cut and Emboss Folder.

This card is the  Lahaina Cut and Emboss Folder. So tropically delightful!!

The embossed panel and intricate die cutting makes it so you don’t have to add much more to the card, if you ask me! It does all the work! 🙂

Next up is the Delhi Cut and Emboss Folder.

I thought this would be delightful in blues and I think it turned out lovely!!

I wanted the two to coordinate, so I used the same technique of cardstock strips and Thicker Letters. 🙂

I hope you have been inspired to try one of these embossing folders–so fun and so different from anything I have used before! 🙂

While I have you, don’t forget there is also Spellbinders Small Die of the Month Club HERE and Large Die of the Month Club HERE!

I thought I would share a couple favorite cards I have from the year. Of course, I am horrible at picking faves, because I often have dozens (and I do mean dozens), but for the sake of time, here’s a few! 🙂 Other favorites can be found in Scrapbook & Cards Today 2019 issues! ❤

Here is the WHOLE Blog list to hop around to! Be sure to check out all the fun:

I have many things to send and share with others, so I have packaged them up into these MYSTERY boxes below. *Disclaimer: I have found more goodies after I took this photo, so I am now thinking I will get one BIGGER box and pick one winner for a full bounty! I’ll be heading to the Post Office next week to get a new box! 🙂 (Please note that the winner must have a US mailing address.)

If you are a new stamper or a seasoned stamper, I’m sure you will find a few things you like in the box for sure. There is a variety of styles and manufacturers that I have collected over the course of the last year (or two). It’s mostly stamps and dies, maybe a few this and thats too. Honestly, I’m thinking the box will be pretty packed. And anything you don’t like, I just ask you share it forward with someone that does. ❤

**All you need to do is add a comment below telling me:

What your favorite kind of card to make is? Birthday? Holiday? Get Well? Just because? etc.

And/OR

What is your favorite style of card? CAS? Floral? Layers? Graphic? etc.

My favorite cards to make are funny and graphic *Just Because* cards. But I love to see others styles, especially if it’s not something I could ever pull off making myself! 🙂

You have until January 10th to comment and I will post a random winner next weekend, January 11/12! And I will mail it out the following week! Hooray!

If you’re interested in following me along on Instagram I’m here @jilldhawkins and of course, on my blog here at FastestTurtle.wordpress.com! You an subscribe in the sidebar over there >> . (I do post often throughout the month.)

Thank you again for being so fantastic and lovely. Wishing you all a wonderful 2020!

This Spellbinders Small Die of the Month is  Kaleidoscope Snowflake and you can find it HERE. There is a new Small Die of the Month EVERY month!

I thought this turned out so delicate, which I don’t think is my usual gig?  😉
I just used  silver thread to thread thru the snowflakes and added two layers of foam tape to give the frame I cut out with my craft knife a little lift.

The sentiments are from Lawn Fawn’s sentiment set: Offset Says Christmas HERE.

Next up, I have the Spellbinders Large Die of the Month! This one is my FAVORITE!! I mean, HOW CUTE is this Santa?! Gah! Adorable.  And I thought he wanted to be on trend in Buffalo Plaid 😉 . This one is called Santa’s Helpers  and you can find it HERE.

I just think he is cutie patootie!! And I thought this sweet sentiment from Simon Says Stamp Greetings Mix 1, Believe in You (HERE) was perfect to stamp and give this card to our son at Christmas. ❤

The stencil is called Hot Dot from Paper Smooches! ❤

Such a sweet little guy! The Large Die of the Month is available HERE!  🙂

Spellbinders Dies of the Month: October!

Happy Monday! I’m here today to share a couple cards I made with Spellbinders Large and Small Dies of the Month Clubs!

You can hop over to the Spellbinders website to check out all the information on Small Dies of the Month HERE and you can check out the Large Dies of the Month HERE.

This Spellbinders Small Die of the Month is Home for the Holidays and you can find it HERE.

Isn’t she darling with her little gift to give?! So sweet! What a great way to use alllllll those patterned papers you have too! This sentiment “Warm Wishes” is from Honey Bee Stamps called Fall. 😉

For this card, I simply masked off an area to blend on some ink, added some score lines, splatters and stitching. So many little details on her to make her look sweet and ready for the holidays OR if you just change her patterned dress, she can be for ANY season! Love that! 🙂

Next up, I have the Spellbinders Large Die of the Month! I thought it would be nice to take a left turn from Christmas and just make a Thank You card. The die cuts are so plentiful, you could cut a bunch all at once and create a pile of these! This one is called Fall Flora and you can find it HERE.

For this card, I just measured a window and cut it out with my craft knife and then added some stitching before adhering it all with foam tape. I went back in and arranged the sentiment and flowers over a scored panel to finish it all off. (Unfortunately, I am now dealing with the Autumn light, so the scored lines are not showing up in these photos, but I promise they are there! 🙂 )

Again, you could change up the colors on this and make it for Autumn or the Holidays or anything! So many options with the plethora of dies you get in this set! The Large Die of the Month is just that: LARGE! This one has (17) dies in it! 🙂

Well, I think that is all from me today! Thanks for stopping by to check out my cards using Spellbinders Small Die of the Month Club HERE and Large Die of the Month Club HERE. Check it out and join in the fun!

Simple Cards with Spellbinders!

Happy Day to you! I’m here today to share a few cards I made with Spellbinders Large Dies of the Month Club!

**ETA: There is a BIG SALE on all these goodies below HERE! Check it out!! Past Spellbinders Club Kits with sale prices–wow!

You can hop over to the Spellbinders website to check out the sale on these that starts October 15th HERE–and all the other goodies! What a great deal!

These first cards I made using the Bonjour set. I thought it would be great to make a set of them fairly simply, which is super easy to do with this bold butterfly!

These great sentiments are from Paper Smooches! I love this whole set!

For this one, I wanted to step it up a bit and I piece all these cardstock pieces back into this butterfly I thought it turned out fun and it’s quite colorful to boot!

The yellow one might be my favorite 🙂

I think this would be a great gift to give or receive, right? I might end up just mailing them all out individually though! Ha!  🙂

Next up, I have these sweet little thank you cards. I ALWAYS need these! For these, I used the Pop Up Garden Large Die of the Month and I used the simple flower. I thought they are cute enough to hold their own on a card, so I ran with that. But this set has some fun pop up dies in it. 🙂

These two sentiments are from Avery Elle–I went into the archives and pulled them out because while they are older, they are still good!

This first card above, I actually made with the few flowers I had left over. I might like this one the best! Ha! Funny how that happens.

I thank you for stopping by to check out my cards today. Be sure to follow me along on Instagram @jilldhawkins and of course, on my blog here at FastestTurtle.wordpress.com!

Hope you have a great weekend and check out the sale HERE starting on October 15th!!

Thanks for stopping by! 🙂

Spellbinders: Holiday!

Good morning!

I am over on the Spellbinders blog today to share some of the new Spellbinders Holiday 2019 Collection by Sharyn Sowell ! Hooray for having holiday cards made in August! 🙂

First up, I have this sweet little winter card, using Shapeabilities Winter Friends Etched Dies, Sharyn Sowell Holiday 2019 Collection. You can find this product HERE.

Isn’t this just the sweetest little scene?! Awwwww.

I offset the silhouette images slightly, to create a little “shadow”. You could make a bunch of these quick by simplifying this slightly. One layer of die cut. Patterned paper background. Done! 🙂

Next , I have this colorful holiday thank you card. I don’t generally mail handmade cards for the holidays anymore, but I do mail handmade thank you cards. I thought this card, made with the Shapeabilities Starry Forest Etched Dies, Sharyn Sowell Holiday 2019 Collection was fun in non holiday colors. This die set is HERE.

It’s quite a simple design in the end, but I think it’s effective and pops that tree die right up as the center of attention! 🙂

Color blocking leads to endless combos! This sentiment is from Paper Smooches.

Lastly, I have this very simple card—absolutely perfect for mass production! This die, Shapeabilities Love Came Down Etched Dies, Sharyn Sowell Holiday 2019 Collection makes super quick work with one simple detailed die cut! You can find this die HERE.

The glitter paper really sparkles in person, but the photo seems to dull it a lot. Boo.

I scored the panel on the background for some interest, but you could easily skip this step.

Hopefully you enjoy the thought of getting ahead on your holiday cards too! Check out all the Spellbinders goodies with their links below.
