You Brighten My Day!

I need some sunshine to mail and I saw theΒ  Essentials by Ellen Pin-Sights Challenge this month: Strawberry, Orange and Lemon–perfection!

Here is my card!

For this, I used two Essentials by Ellen stamps sets: Wonky Backdrops and Warm Fuzzies.I watercolored with Distress Inks: Candied Apple, Carved Pumpkin and Mustard Seed. I stamped with Versamark Black ink and clear heat embossed all those. To finish it off, I added some spatters and stitching for texture.

There’s still time to jump in on this Pin-Sights Challenge! I hope to squeeze in another card using this combo–since it is a go-to fave of mine anyway. πŸ˜‰

See you back here tomorrow! Thanks for stopping by!

No. 1 Fan!

Happy Tuesday! A perfect day to share a project I made using a stamp set from Technique Tuesday! It’s from a previous release, but a fave of mine!Β  Technique Tuesday’s Fan-tastic! (That Teri Anderson makes some GOOD GOOD stuff!) πŸ˜‰

I used more of my patterned paper (FTW!) to create this card. After I was done fussy cutting all the layers out, the thought popped in my head to add the blowing “ribbons”.Β  I thought it turned out fun! This was a Father’s Day card for my hubby ❀ .

Be sure to hop over and check out the new stuff from Technique Tuesday HERE!Β  πŸ™‚

Quick and simple today! Have a great Tuesday!

June Fun from Technique Tuesday!

I looked at the calendar today. June 3! What?! Already?! The good news is, that means new stamps and dies from Technique Tuesday ! They can be found HERE!

I thought I’d share a few cards with the new goodies! Here we go!

These little fun guys are part of the new set, Small Fries. And there are dies HERE! How cute is that name?! I thought I’d make it a party scene using the Planner Celebrate Stamp Set! Also a fun way to get more use of your planner stamps. I was SUPER excited to see THIS fishbowl die called, Fish Bowl. Ha! Perfect!

Gah, so fun! I used Distress Oxide inks for the water. It turned out better than I thought it would!

Next up, I’m sharing the new owl, Party Time Owl. He’s ready to PARTY! This guy the new edition to all the little owl sets that can be found HERE.

These little paper strips on my owl card, are actually trimmings from the cards I made below. Love how that worked out! I scored/embossed the rest of the card to add additional texture and carry the lines through. This Party card above also uses my go-to die, Photo Frame.

The cards below are made with the new Greenhouse Society Marigold set. There is also a matching die for this flower!

For this, I used the word dies Celebrate and Thank You. I masked off these different blocks and blended on some ink. I really enjoy how they turned out! I’d use this technique for making more of these cards, and giving card set gifts. The Marigold stamp was perfect for this! yay!

I used Worn Lipstick, Fossilized Amber, and Spiced Marmalade. (I would be awesome if the ink was Dried Marigold, right? Ha!)

Lots of fun new products for everyone’s style. Be sure to check out the new stuff from Technique Tuesday HERE!Β  πŸ™‚

Have a GREAT weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

You Make My Heart Smile

Happy Weekend! I thought I’d pop in to share a couple more cards with Technique Tuesday stamps and dies today! They can be found HERE!

For this card, I used the new Hi Bouquet stamp set! πŸ™‚ Also, I used one of my favorite sets of sentiments, Find Beauty. I love this sentiment!

If you like detailed flower stamps, be sure to check out Technique Tuesday’s Greenhouse Society stamps HERE. There are so many lovely ones! You’ll find some amazing colored card samples there too!

I kept this one simpler with some navy blue ink. This would be a great card for making a stack of cards to send! πŸ™‚Next up, I used this month’s release of Animal House, Leonardo the Lion! This cutie went into my son’s lunchbox a couple of weeks back. ❀

I created my own background card base using a couple of the smaller images in the set, and stamping repeatedly with red ink. I colored Leonardo with Copic markers, added a little Wink of Stella sparkle, and some Glossy Accents. (Bonus: HERE are the coordinating dies for this set!)

The Animal House critters all have little background stories, which are quite fun to read. πŸ˜‰

And last, but not least, I made these little list cards with the new Bucket List stamp set. This is fantastic for scrapbookers, but also awesome for us list makers out there! I really enjoy crossing things off a list! I just tuck these in my planner, and use as needed. πŸ™‚

You can find all Technique Tuesday’s May Release HERE!Β  πŸ™‚ The June release will be swimming in next week!! Just sayin’! Wink wink πŸ˜‰

Thanks for stopping by–have a FANTASTIC weekend!

Essentials by Ellen Pin-Sights Challenge

Today I have the awesome opportunity to join in the Essentials by Ellen Pin-Sights Challenge fun! How excited am I? πŸ™‚

The Essentials by Ellen Pin-Sights challenge is a monthly inspirational challenge based on a Pinterest Inspired photo that is located on the CLASSroom blog. A random challenge participant will receive a $50 gift certificate to the Ellen Hutson store!!Β  To be eligible, you MUST use Essentials by Ellen products and the photo badge as inspiration. There will be an inlinkz on the challenge post where you can submit, HERE.

Here is the Pinterest inspiration photo: Pretty, right?

And here is my inspired card:

Gah! I had sooo much fun making this card! I rearranged these pieces dozens of times until I finally settled on this little number. πŸ™‚

I first used all the inspirational colors, and that was too much. Then I dialed it down to just a few of the colors: The navy, the off-white and the pinkish hue.

I freaking LOVE the Essentials by Ellen Designer Dies, Silver Linings by Julie Ebersole. I mean, how cool are these dies? I really enjoy how they are held together just slightly, which is great for holding the piece together and/or makes them really easy to separate. I separated the pieces, and pieced the colors easily after doing that.

I then used the Essentials By Ellen Designer Dies, Hinged Thanks By Julie Ebersole. Another fun die! I went back and forth about putting a different color cardstock underneath to peek through. Yes? No? Yes?Β  In the end, I always settle on the simpler look. πŸ˜‰

Can you tell I am a big fan of Julie Ebersole’s designs? I am! That Julie is a troublemaker for my wallet. πŸ˜‰ Such fun!

I added some stitching and finished everything off with these Pretty Pink Posh Sequins, Sparkling Clear Mix (4mm, 6mm, 8mm &10mm ).

A BIG thanks to Laurel for helping me gather all the details for this great challenge! A HUGE thank you to Ellen Hutson, for having me along this month, and for always being so awesomely supportive of me, and all those in our fun crafty community! ❀ ! It has truly been a pleasure to participate this month! Keep the good stuff coming! πŸ™‚

Thank YOU for stopping by today! I hope you participate in this month’s challenge! πŸ™‚

I thought I would share some fun cards I made using this awesome new set, Scrapbooking is Happiness! I think it would be fabulous to make a dozen more and mail them to my crafty friends. πŸ™‚

When I saw this stamp, I yelped!! How awesome is THIS?!! Haaaaaaa!! I stamped this on vellum and affixed it to some patterned paper below.

I’m really thinking this would be funny to give my hubby! πŸ˜› LOL!! πŸ™‚

And then there is THIS sentiment! Seriously! I cannot stop loving these! For this, I stamped on some very thin wood “paper” I have and die cut it with the License Plate die. I used some patterned paper for the panel and sparkly paper strips. I finished it all off with some stitching and Nuvo drops! I’m trying to use more of my PP! πŸ™‚

And last, but not least, I stamped this super funny sentiment from this new TT set:

I mean, that is hilarious! For this I stenciled on some pink clouds with two colors of Distress Inks (Picked Raspberry and Spun Sugar), and added some sparkly accents with stitching. I think it’s too funny! πŸ™‚

I am admittedly not a scrapbooker… I’ve never scrapped a page in my life. LOL! But as you can see, this fun set is for all us crazy crafters!

New from Technique Tuesday!

It’s May!! WHOAH! Did that sneak up or what? I’m sure I say this every month, but maybe it’s that every month goes faster and faster now? Ha!

Well, get ready or not, because there are lots new stamps and dies from Technique Tuesday today! They can be found HERE!

There is a fun new owl in town. This is the Happy Day Owl set. So cute and succinct. πŸ™‚

I kept this one pretty simple, using the flower from the set as a pop of color! This guy is a happy new edition to all the little owl sets that can be found HERE.

Here is the new Flowers for Mom die (check it out HERE) . I think this flower is whimsy and fun!! I need to use it in a brighter fashion next! πŸ™‚ This one i colored quickly with Copic markers and then went back in with a bunch of little pixels. I feel like I missed a spot! LOL πŸ™‚

This sentiment, from the Mom’s Day set, is fantastic because to me it is two-fold. Both that my Grannie IS the Greatest Grandmother, and that she is also the Greatest Grandmother to my son. ❀ See how that works there! πŸ˜‰

For this card, I also used my go-to fave, the Memo Pad Die. I use this one, A LOT!

Be sure to hop over and check out the new stuff from Technique Tuesday HERE!Β  πŸ™‚

Hope your May is full of fun! Thanks for stopping by!
