Taylored Expressions: Mother’s Day Release!

Welcome to a fun new release celebration for  Taylored Expressions! All the new products will be available over at Taylored Expressions tomorrow.

This release is full of goodness to celebrate Mom’s and SO MANY others in our lives. It’s a lovely release with lots of florals and fun sentiments. Let’s get this party started!

This first card is a lovely burst of Spring with this sweet Doodle Flowers Background. This could be colored soooo many different ways…or watercolored, or embossed or…endless possibilities.

How sweet is this Doodle Flowers Background stamp?! Goodness: ❀ ! I colored it with Copic markers and added the sentiment. Fun and easy to do. The Building Blocks for Her are awesome because you can personalize it for so many different people.

Next up, I used the new Bouquet Whimsy. This is a lovely and super versatile set. There are coordinating dies that I used on a second card (down below), but not on the first. This one I kept very simple. When I finished this, I thought this would make a great card set to gift someone, making a handful of cards to include varying this design simply to create a couple different versions to include.

I love a clean and simple card and using the TE Rectangle Masking stencils and then stamping inside that made this easy to do. I enjoy how it turned out, especially after blending in a soft yellow background with the TE Blender Brushes.

This second card, I used both Bouquet Whimsy and the new Just Vine Background—This new Just Vine Background is moving into my top 10 backgrounds very quickly! πŸ™‚

I stamped these flowers a couple times adding a little darker inks along the sides. You can even highlight this further simply with some Copic Markers and colored pencils if you’d like. (I didn’t do that on this card.)

I put a layer of vellum over top to stamp and heat emboss the sentiment on after everything was all done. This is such a sweet card in the end.

Next up, I focused on the Just Vine Background mostly to create this card. I stamped it with three different colored inks. Starting with Granny Smith and Cilantro and then cleaning the stamp and stamping it all with a layer of Pineapple to smooth in the gaps. I was amazed at how it turned out. πŸ™‚

I added the little flowers and dots from the Bouquet Whimsy set, followed by a few splatters of paint and the background panel was done. I decided I had to use this very funny (and OH SO TRUE) sentiment from the Inside Scoop-For Her set on the front of the card. πŸ™‚

Once again, I used the Petite Scallop Rectangle dies (which I use extremely often, you may have noticed. πŸ˜‰ ) I added some stitching and twine and all done. I think this card is a trip! I know many friends that would appreciate this one immensely– ha! πŸ™‚

Humor is essential!

I thought I’d pop in to share a quick little card I made using Taylored Expressions new Big Grumpy sentiments. They are all my favorite–and soooo funny! But I had to get this one made and in the mail today. πŸ™‚

You can find the new sentiments FREE on the Taylored Expressions website when you log in and click on get inspired. It’s a free download, so you just need to print them at home on your printer and stamp Big Grumpy Cat or Bear over top.Β  So fun and quite simple to do. Thank you Taylor for sharing these!! πŸ™‚

I used the 1/4″ Stripe Stencil Set and some Drip Drops on this card as well. ❀

Be sure to check out the TE Blog for all the latest and fun!Β  And check out the Β Taylored Expressions Shop to find the free download. Taylor did a FB video share to show how to stamp him on video. It’s very easy to do!

Happy Stamping and stay well friends!

Have a great weekend! Hope it includes some laughs. πŸ™‚

TE Quad Colors Continued!

Hello and welcome back to a fun week over at Taylored Expressions! I hope you have enjoyed the idea of mixing up your color choices and maybe even enjoyed playing along this week already? The TE Creative Team has really wow’d me (again!) with the Quad Colors projects! Here are all the colors below. Be sure to check out all the news over on the TE Blog and see more cards!

Today, I will start out with the Quad Color called Sahara.

I created a background with two Masking Stencils using this combo–and I LOVE how easy it was with the TE Blender Brushes….he turned out well with guessing my appropriate Copic markers. Who knew? The stripes are the absolute best paired with a rectangle– <3!

Of course, it’s no secret I love the Grumplings and this one is Big Grumpy Cat! He’s so ornery and actually this card is WAY too fitting for this time in our world, unfortunately. But introverts unite, nonetheless. πŸ™‚ I colored him with Copic Markers and it turned out (surprisingly… shhhh) well for this color combo.

Next up, I have the Quad Color Barcelona:

One of my go-to cardmaking techniques is always strips of paper all stacked together. The result is always delightful to me. So when I saw this combo, that was my first idea. I thought this card would be great for a graduate–especially a pre-school or elementary school one. πŸ™‚

For this card the coverplate I used is Alphabet Soup–definitely a favorite coverplate when it comes to making anything for school or kids. I just adore the font. I added some stitching and put it all on a card base. Such fun!

If you missed my post on Tuesday for the Quad Colors, please find that post by clicking HERE.

TE Quad Colors!

Hello and welcome to a fun week over at Taylored Expressions! It’s time to give your “color go-to choices” a shake up! The TE Creative Team has really enjoyed this exercise of Quad Colors to get out of our “normal” go-to colors! Such fun! Here are all the colors below. Be sure to check out all the fun over on the TE Blog and links to all the cards!

Today, I will start out with the Quad Color called Dublin.

I thought it would be fun to create a background with a masking stencil using this combo–because–well, they blend like butta’ together! πŸ™‚

I love this little unicorn and pegasus–Dreamer! They are so stinkin’ adorable. I colored them with Copic Markers and added all the little extras to make the card extra fun! πŸ™‚ Also, I just love this sentiment! πŸ™‚

Next up, I have the Quad Color Paris:

I love how this card came together so swiftly and lovely. This is perfect to send someone when they just need a little pick me up. ❀

Believe it or not, I do not consider myself a pastel person, so I was thinking I’d struggle with this overall pastel combo….but nope! This card came together quickly with the help of the set Spring Stems. This set has so many stamps to choose from, but I decided on simple with a repeating leaf.

I stamped everything out and then added some stitching and kept the rest pretty clean. πŸ™‚

In a stark contrast to the perky colorful Quad Color Combos I have already used here today, now I switch over to the Quad Color called Patagonia:

I actually like using grays and such, so I think there are several possibilities with this one too. For this card, I used the Toffee color as my neutral vs. my usual, Sugar Cube. I thought it was fun to make a laughable card:

What have I done? haaaaa!! πŸ™‚ I have to laugh because he let the camper go and run down the hill!!Β  ahhhh! πŸ™‚ Run and catch it little dude!!

The little On the Road -Camper combined with the Fluffy Friends is perfect for a laugh! πŸ™‚ I colored him Copic Markers. I also die cut the hills with the Snow Drifts die and added some Toffee ink with the TE Blender Brushes before stitching over the top. The Here Comes the Sun creates the perfect subtle background for this fun scene.

Hello! Happy Sunday! Lots of time at home for us ahead, so I made a fun card to share using Taylored Expressions Mythical Grumplings set! So fun!!

Love this set! ❀

Haaaa! He’s so funny!Β IΒ  blended on Cupcake ink with the TE Blender Brushes and stenciled over the the Stencil Strips-Clouds stencils. I colored him with Copic markers.

Here’s a quick little video link below of me making most of the card. I am not a video person, so let me lower your expectations now before you watch it! πŸ™‚

The Creatures, the Myths, the Legends….

Welcome to a super fun Leap Day Release for Taylored Expressions ! Be sure to check out all the fun over at Taylored Expressions now!

All my cards today feature the oh so cute, and OH so funny, Mythical Grumplings. This set is a kick, if you ask me. ❀

First I start out with the Yeti!

Haaaa! He’s so funny! But so sweet, yes? πŸ˜‰

These new bits are THE BEST! If they are up your alley, I recommend maybe getting an extra pack “for a friend”..wink wink. πŸ™‚ I also used the Neighborhood Border as I thought this would be fun little scene for the Yeti and his sentiment.

Next up, I had to use that cutie dragon too. He looks so happy. Haaaa!! I blended on some inks with the TE Blender Brushes and stenciled over the the Scattered Stars stencil. This one is simple and super fun in my book–my fave. That sentiment is everything–Β  haaa! ❀

And this card has another of the newer bits too. πŸ™‚ Lots of fun Copic coloring.

Lastly, here is my son’s favorite–as he says, “the angry unicorn”! haaaa!!

I cannot read this sentiment without laughing every single time. It’s so cheeky and oh so funny. πŸ™‚ I also thought it would be fun to repurpose the Gatefold Reveal 2 to make a shaker card. Perfect fit! πŸ™‚

Taylored Expressions: February Release!

Welcome to our last day to formally celebrate Release Week for Taylored Expressions February Release! All the new products are available over at Taylored Expressions now!

My first card today is a sweet little card that I used Lavender on!! Hark!! AND…I LOVE IT!! This new layering stencil called Spring Fling Layered Stencil is soooo lovely and reminiscent of the one that TE release for the holiday. I absolutely adore these stencil layering sets. They are like magic to use! I used Granny Smith first for the leaves and then added a little brush or two of Cilantro for added pop.Β  πŸ™‚

I don’t know if I have ever loved lavender more! Who am I? ha!!Β  This lovely little lantern (All is Bright) was released previously with all the winter goodies, but is now getting a spring lift! What is better about using the stamps you already have and adding on?! The new set is called: All is Bright Additions Stamp & Die Combo.

I was so excited about how this turned out and the new sentiments in the set are delightful! So sweet! ❀

Next up, I have a card using the new Handlettered Hymns sentiment set and for the background, I used the previously released Modern Holly Layering Stencil…. which, you may recall was in the Holiday release, but as you can see, it works for lots of different things! πŸ™‚

I stamped on the vellum and cut out a frame using the Inside Bracket Stacklets. This is all in Raspberry Sorbet. So simple and yet so lovely!
