Miss You!

Happy Weekend! Popping in super duper quick to share this fun card I made using the images from the Lawn Fawn/Ellen Hutson S’more the Merrier set that my friend Chari (Thank you, Chari! โค ) sent me to color for The Daily Marker 30 Day! We had a small gang of some coloring friends and we all stamped and swapped images to color throughout the month of July. I will have to post all the cards that came of the month on my blog sometime soon. It was so fun and a great way to stretch myself! ๐Ÿ™‚

Anyway…on with the card….

I blended on several different Distress Inks over the Taylored Expressions Circle Masking Stencil (HERE) and then added the images I fussy cut and colored with Copic Markers. I think it’s safe to say I never made a background like this and it was fun to make. Room to improve, but when isn’t there? ๐Ÿ™‚

Gah!! How cute are these little critters!? I used a much older sentiment set from Lawn Fawn for the speech bubble. You can find this cutie Lawn Fawn/Ellen Hutson S’more the Merrier set over at Ellen Hutson HERE. ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you to my friends Alyssa, Caren, Chari, Jen, Latisha and Lori for a FUN month of virtual crafting—coloring together from afar! โค

Take care– Jill ๐Ÿ™‚

You Mean the World…

Popping in to share my completed card from my Day 25 of Kathy Racoosin’s The Daily Marker, 30 Day Color Challenge project. Today is Day 28!! Wow.

I watercolored a Hero Arts Holiday Christmas Crystal Ornament and trimmed it out to include on a card. This is one of those holiday stamp sets I knew I could stretch for WAY more than Christmas! ๐Ÿ™‚ Love these geometric gems. ๐Ÿ™‚
hawkins_jill_you mean_wmI paired it up with an older Hero Arts sentiment I have. (I adhered my sphere in a different orientation than I intended to. Do you do things like this when YOU’re tired?)

I embossed and watercolored with distress inks again. I just love the bright colors I have in Distress Inks and they work so fantastically together. I embossed the sentiment with the Ranger’s Black Sparkle embossing powder. This doesn’t show at all in the photos, but in person, it adds a fun sparkly goodness. ๐Ÿ™‚ The panel die and the ink blot stamps are from My Favorite Things ๐Ÿ™‚

I hope you have found some time to play in Kathy’s 30 day Challenge! I enjoy coloring, but I would most certainly not do it every night, for a month, without this little nudge. It’s fantastic practice!! ๐Ÿ™‚

Love Love Love

Dropping in to share my completed card from my Day 14 of Kathy Racoosin’s The Daily Marker, 30 Day Color Challenge project.

I did a quick watercolor of a Hero Arts Stitched Heart. In doing this, I just cross my fingers and hope it dries into something I like :). I thought this would brighten a mailbox!

hawkins_jill_love3_wmIt was Valentine’s Day when I made this, but I think it works any day.

hawkins_jill_love3_00_wmThis Stitched Heart is an older Hero Arts Woodblock stamp. These are the only stamps I used to own! ๐Ÿ™‚ I still have all my Hero Arts woodblocks. Keepers for sure. The sentiment here is from the newer Hero Arts Holiday Set, Christmas Crystals! That set is awesome! ๐Ÿ™‚

Also, I used my favorite Wonky Stitched STAX dies from My Favorite Things. ๐Ÿ™‚
